Tsunade Arrives—The Unspeakable Secret Between Uchiha Shadian and Tsunade

"Stop, Guy!"

Just as Might Guy was about to strike his heart's acupuncture point and open the Gate of Death, a voice rang out.

Uchiha Shadian frowned slightly. Who was ruining his plans?

He looked toward the voice and saw two figures rapidly flash over.

Uchiha Shadian was somewhat surprised to see who had arrived.

"Lady Tsunade." Might Guy looked at Tsunade with delighted surprise.

As one of Konoha's Three Legendary Sannin, Tsunade was not only immensely powerful but also skilled in medical ninjutsu. She was the finest doctor in the world. With her here, Konoha would receive tremendous support, and the wounded could receive the best treatment.

"Guy, what exactly happened here? Why were you fighting here? You even used a technique that trades your life for another's. You were about to open the Gate of Death in the Eight Gates, weren't you? And you, Shadian—why do you have Wood Release? And why is it my grandfather's senjutsu, Wood Release: True Several Thousand Hands?" Tsunade's gaze shifted from Might Guy to Uchiha Shadian.

"If I said we were merely sparring, would you believe me, Teacher?" Uchiha Shadian asked with a smile.

Tsunade shot Uchiha Shadian a glare. "Don't give me that cheeky grin. I still haven't settled our past business! Guy, you tell me. What happened between you two? And what happened to Konoha? Why were there so many distress signals?"

"It's complicated. Simply put, the Uchiha Clan was massacred by Itachi Uchiha under orders from Konoha's higher-ups. Now Konoha has been completely destroyed by Shadian and reduced to ruins. He also unsealed the Nine-Tails. Lord Third Hokage is on the other side right now, leading the others in battle against it," Might Guy said slowly.

"How could this happen?" Shizune said in shock, disbelief written all over her face.

"What is that old fool trying to do? How could he issue such a stupid order?" Tsunade cursed.

"You two, stop now. Neither of you is allowed to keep fighting," Tsunade ordered sternly.

"Lady Tsunade, Shadian killed Kakashi. I have to avenge Kakashi," Might Guy said reluctantly.

"If you open the Gate of Death, even if you kill Shadian, you won't survive either. Not even I could save you," Tsunade said.

"I don't care whether I live or die. Besides, Shadian definitely won't stop," Might Guy said.

"Step aside first. I'll talk to him." Tsunade imperiously waved Might Guy back.

Might Guy glanced at Uchiha Shadian before reluctantly stepping back.

"First, tell me why you possess Wood Release. And what exactly is going on with this senjutsu?" Tsunade stared at Uchiha Shadian with a trace of resentment in her eyes.

"I taught myself," Uchiha Shadian said casually.

"Lady Tsunade, he's lying. Earlier, he said he learned it from the First Hokage," Might Guy blurted out before Tsunade could speak.

"Learned it from Grandfather?"

"How is that possible?"

"Grandfather died before Shadian was even born!" Tsunade questioned.

Might Guy said, "That's what I thought too. But Lady Tsunade, Shadian can revive the dead. He revived Rin Nohara and someone named Izuna Uchiha. Though I killed Izuna Uchiha."

"Revive the dead?" Tsunade's expression changed as she looked at Uchiha Shadian. "Shadian, did you use that unfinished forbidden technique of my second grandfather's? That technique requires living human sacrifices. How could you dare use it?"

"Teacher, I didn't use that harmful forbidden technique." Uchiha Shadian spoke indifferently. "I wouldn't even bother with such an unstable, inferior technique."

"Then how exactly did you revive people?" Tsunade pressed.

"And in what capacity are you asking me?"

"As my teacher? My lover? Or my enemy?" Uchiha Shadian narrowed his eyes at Tsunade.

"What?"

"Lovers?"

Might Guy and Shizune both widened their eyes in unison. The word "lovers" had clearly caught them completely off guard.

They knew that Uchiha Shadian had studied medical ninjutsu under Tsunade. But they had never heard of any romance between Uchiha Shadian and Tsunade.

"What lovers? Don't spout nonsense." Tsunade blushed. Back when she was still one of Konoha's Three Legendary Sannin, Uchiha Shadian had come to her and asked to become her disciple. She refused him many times, but he kept pestering her. In the end, seeing his extraordinary talent for medicine, she agreed and allowed Uchiha Shadian to study at her side.

Once Uchiha Shadian had become familiar with her, he started saying sweet things to her out of nowhere. He said he wanted to pursue her. Naturally, she refused, but he resorted to his usual persistent tactics. Even so, she still rejected him. Their age difference was too great—more than ten years apart. In the end, Uchiha Shadian got drunk from all the alcohol she fed him, and she, too, got drunk from drinking greedily. What happened afterward was awkward.

When she woke up the next morning, she found herself naked in the same bed as Uchiha Shadian—and Uchiha Shadian was naked too.

After returning from that mission, her feelings for Uchiha Shadian became complicated. They were not quite lovers, yet they had already shared physical intimacy.
