Darren could only thoughtfully let Hermione cover her ears and close her eyes, pretending not to hear or see.

In truth, his only thought was that those words had really come full circle. Ahem.

Just as Darren was about to drift off comfortably, Harry and the others finally stopped raging.

Darren could only kindly comfort them.

"Don't be like this... We're about to have our final exams.

"I think Hagrid might be able to hold on until the end of term... At the very least, we don't have to worry about this this year, right?"

Darren smiled.

In truth, he knew that Hagrid would flee under Umbridge's attack on one of the exam nights.

So he continued comforting Harry and the others, putting on a thoroughly innocent and kind-hearted act. June finally arrived.

Caught up in that atmosphere, Darren also roused himself a little. He wanted to study hard too.

So every day, he borrowed a few books from the library, putting on a diligent show of taking books back to read at night.

In reality, he spent every night watching anime.

With no Dumbledore around to keep an eye on him, he had gone back to binge-watching shows day and night.
