If Dumbledore had not suddenly sent a Howler that brought Aunt Petunia to her senses and made her keep him, he might already have been thrown out.
In the end, it was only when Darren came to take him away that Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia, and the others showed him even a little kindness.
Thinking of how much the Dursleys liked Darren, Harry's lips curved into a faint smile.
But then he immediately remembered that Darren was gone. From now on, there would be no one left to protect him.
"Oh, Ron, Ginny! My children!"
It was Mrs. Weasley's voice.
She had just rushed over.
She fiercely hugged both of her children. Then she embraced Harry as well.
Harry's eyes quietly reddened.
Because in previous years, at times like this, Mrs. Weasley had always hugged both him and Darren.
This year, there was only him.
Mr. Weasley smiled behind Mrs. Weasley, along with Fred and George.
The two of them wore the latest coats, looking incredibly fashionable.
"Our joke shop has made a fortune. These are made of Dragon hide! I think we ought to treat ourselves better!"
"Enough of that. Let's go find the Dursleys now!"
Moody said gruffly.
Harry wanted to say they should forget it.
But they had already charged forward, especially Sirius.
He walked up to the Dursleys and said politely, "I think you must have seen me in the news. Sirius Black—the man who once killed thirteen people and left behind nothing but a finger at the scene!"
The Dursleys looked utterly terrified.
Uncle Vernon shielded Petunia and the others behind him.
"What do you want? I can call the police and have them arrest people like you!"
"Go ahead and call them! Let's see how I make them arrest you instead!"
Sirius roared angrily.
