Harry spoke seriously.
"We know you must have a way to get this news to him as soon as possible."
Hermione smiled.
Phineas snorted.
"That brat had Filch, that Squib, steal my portrait from the school corridor and take it to his dormitory.
"Just like you, he sneaked around and had me pass along messages.
"If you'd let me pass messages earlier, maybe you wouldn't have had to go hungry like this!"
Phineas said sarcastically.
Harry and the others pretended to be embarrassed and said nothing.
In truth, they still did not believe much of what Phineas said. They would only believe it if Darren told them himself.
They were not idiots.
If they had told Phineas earlier, they might have been caught long ago!
Darren Appears!!
Hermione followed Harry toward Bathilda nervously.
They asked again.
"Bathilda?"
The woman nodded.
Then she turned around and gestured for them to follow.
Hermione said worriedly, "Harry, maybe we shouldn't go..."
Harry shook his head.
He could feel the locket around his neck pulsing more violently.
He thought that perhaps there was something here related to an Obscurus.
He said firmly, "Don't worry. We can beat her!"
He looked at Bathilda's frail little body.
Then he followed her.
Hermione had no choice but to follow as well.
They passed the church and rows of houses. Just as Harry was remaining on guard,
Hermione suddenly pointed to the side.
Harry looked over instinctively.
Then he saw a house that had been blown apart, surrounded by overgrown weeds.
The houses beside it were still neat and intact. Only this one had become ruins. Harry was about to ask why no one had repaired it when a rose vine rapidly spread out and a wooden sign appeared.
