I chimed in, "Really! He's so handsome, so very handsome. My face is turning red!"
Halloween finally arrived.
Other than seventh year, Halloween was an accident waiting to happen every year.
I sped up my eating.
Hannah beside me told me to slow down and poured me a cup of milk tea.
My dear Hannah was becoming more and more like a big sister!
I swallowed the syrup pie in my mouth and leaned over with my messy mouth for her to wipe it.
Hannah helplessly but gently wiped my mouth again, then tossed the handkerchief to me.
I didn't urge her to eat more too, because I was selfish.
I couldn't let anyone see even the slightest crack in my armor.
So I kept my head down and ate, while calling to Hannah, "Hannah, hurry and try this pork chop. It tastes especially good today!"
I saw Darren Potter eating even faster than I was. I knew it was almost time.
I picked up my pace again.
When I saw Darren Potter stand up, I stopped eating and tightly gripped my wand in my palm.
I was also prepared to run immediately if anything went wrong.
Fortunately.
Everything happened just as it had in the original story.
Darren Potter hadn't changed the plot.
It didn't seem like he had forgotten. He had deliberately chosen not to change it.
He knew everything, yet he had no intention of altering anything.
I felt somewhat relieved. At the very least, I wouldn't become cannon fodder for no reason just because he wanted to change the plot.
I let out a breath, then tightened my grip on my wand again, not relaxing until I returned to the Hufflepuff Common Room.
Only then did I realize that I had been tightly holding Hannah's hand.
