Type 1 to send a wife, pick one from the comments (furries, post your own).

Type 2 to send a Pokémon, post your own in the comments.

The protagonist is a Ghost-type specialist. The worldview leans toward realism, not the utopian world seen in the anime.

This is my second Pokémon fanfiction series. The first one is still being updated and has over 400,000 words; if you're bored, feel free to check out my profile to take a look.

The protagonist starts in the Hoenn region. I've researched a lot of information on Hoenn characters and reflected on the shortcomings of my previous book.

(The protagonist, Roy, is not the Roy from Horizons. I simply haven't watched Horizons, and the names just happened to overlap.)

Flutter Mane will appear around chapters 30-40. Because it is a Paradox species, its introduction will certainly be different, so don't be impatient.

Since he's a Ghost-type specialist, how could he manage without the queen herself?

I'll add two sets of settings here.

First, the levels:

1-5: Infant Stage

5-20: Normal level

20-30: Veteran level

30-40: Elite level

40-50: Gym Leader level

50-60: Pseudo Elite Four level

60-70: Elite Four

70-80: Mid Elite Four level

80-90: High-level Elite Four

90-100: Champion level

Second: Pokémon talent, which is the Individual Values mentioned in the story. I've set the maximum to 31, corresponding to the maximum level a Pokémon can reach as mentioned above.

(1-10: Veteran Potential, 11-15: Gym Potential, 16-22: King Potential, 23-28: High-level King Potential, 29-31: Champion Potential)

Enough nonsense!

All aboard, the doors are locked!

"Ms. Lorelei... don't touch there!

Ms. Cynthia, don't... don't stop...

Aunt Delia, you wouldn't want to...

Hehehehe, hehehehe."

Slurp~~~ Hah!

A teenage boy with delicate features, sharp, straight brows, and a buzzcut was drooling while talking in his sleep. The bronze-skinned little girl who had come to wake him up looked at him with utter disdain.

"Lazy pig Roy! Wake up already, the sun is hitting your butt!"

The little girl ripped the boy's quilt away and kicked toward his backside, but the boy seemed to have anticipated it, rolling over to dodge and leaving her kicking at thin air.

Seeing this, the girl stepped directly onto his butt.

"I know, I know. Little Black Coal, I was digging holes all day yesterday and I'm exhausted. Please, let me sleep a little longer~~"

Disturbed from his sweet dream, Roy brushed her off carelessly, turned over in annoyance, and pulled his pillow over his head, intending to resume his tryst with the busty Lorelei from his dream.

But things didn't go as planned.

Phoebe, who was called Little Black Coal, wouldn't let Roy be that comfortable. She glanced at the Haunter beside her, and the latter understood, shifting its appearance.

Just as Roy thought Phoebe had left, a pair of small hands snatched his pillow away and forced his eyelids open. Before him appeared a headless ghost, the flat surface of its neck still oozing blood.

Roy, as if accustomed to this, brushed Phoebe's hand away and yawned, knowing there was no chance of continuing his dream with Lorelei.

"Sigh~~"

After a sigh, Roy calmly sat up from a deep purple, prism-shaped coffin lid and stretched.

When he first arrived at Mt. Pyre, Roy wasn't quite used to sleeping on a coffin lid, but after a while, he found it quite comfortable. Now, he couldn't sleep at all without it.

Is this the real-life version of lying like a corpse?

Seeing Roy have no reaction to her prank, Phoebe felt a bit disappointed.

She had tried very hard to be scary; even she herself had been startled while preparing it, yet it still hadn't scared Roy.

Damn it!

Along with the headless ghost, the entity transformed back into a Haunter, sticking out its long, red tongue to give Roy a Lick laced with electric arcs, shocking Roy into instant wakefulness.

It was fortunate that Roy had a buzzcut, or his hair would have stood on end. With that tingling sensation, Roy began his new day.

"Stupid Roy, you didn't even pretend to be scared."

"Isn't that a redundant question? You use the same trick every single day; can't you come up with something fresh?"

As he got dressed, Roy complained that Phoebe's methods were too low-level and tacky. Every day it was either a headless ghost or a head-spinning ghost; there was no creativity at all.

Phoebe wasn't annoyed, but he was getting tired of it.

"Hmph! If you're so good at it, then tell me what's scary."

"If it were me, I'd get a pair of red embroidered shoes and place a paper effigy at..."

Roy unhurriedly explained a set of very hardcore Chinese horror theories.

Unlike the Western-style jump scares, Chinese horror stems from a fear deep within the soul, the kind that makes your body shiver even while you're just walking down the street.

Phoebe pondered Roy's ideas, not even noticing the wisp of ghostly blue fire suddenly sprouting from Roy's head.

Judging by the advice Roy had just given Phoebe, it was no surprise that he was a transmigrator.

He had transmigrated from Earth to this place while working overtime one night.

Waking up, he found himself in an unknown forest filled with white mist, appearing incredibly quiet.

It wasn't until a large green caterpillar with a 'Y' shape on its head dangled in front of Roy on a silk thread, swaying back and forth, that he realized where he was.

What surprised Roy was that the caterpillar was a full 50cm long.

The caterpillar had no intention of hurting him, just looked at him calmly, wiggling back and forth in a very Zen-like manner.

Roy finally realized he had transmigrated into the Pokémon world. This large caterpillar was the pre-evolution of Rayquaza, a Caterpie.

Disbelieving, Roy went to the riverbank and, through his reflection, discovered that his body had also turned into that of a ten-year-old boy.

Just as he was wondering what to do, a shrill bird cry echoed through the silent forest.

A Spearow—black on the back, beige with fine stripes on its chest and abdomen, a messy brown crest on its head, and pink wings—appeared in the sky.

Roy had been spotted by the Spearow in the dense forest, its eyes filled with hostility.

The residual memories of his predecessor told Roy that Pokémon in reality were not as friendly to humans as they were in the anime, nor was this a utopian world.

It certainly wasn't a game world where a professor would tell you that you had amazing potential and gift you a starter Pokémon.

In reality, Pokémon hurting or killing people was a common occurrence.

His appearance had invaded the Spearow's territory, and since Spearow were Pokémon that viewed their territory as their life, the one in the sky already saw Roy as an intruder.

Roy didn't think he possessed the constitution of a Super Newbie. If he were pecked once by that sharp beak, there would be a giant hole in his body.

Just as the Spearow was about to dive and pounce on Roy, the Caterpie on the tree spat a web that accurately hit the Spearow in the air, trapping it on the ground.

Roy had just wanted to thank the caterpillar when he saw it already string-shotting to another tree, swinging to a tree further back with a burst of momentum that left Roy stunned.

"Holy crap! Spider-Man!?"

It wasn't so much that the Caterpie had saved Roy, but rather that it had saved itself and just happened to save Roy along the way.

The danger hadn't passed.

After giving Roy a look that said 'fend for yourself,' the Caterpie spat another string and swung to a tree even further away.

"Spear!"

As the trapped Spearow let out a shrill cry, the clear sky suddenly turned black, and the white mist vanished in an instant.

Before Roy's eyes, a black cloud composed of countless Spearow charged in his direction.

Looking back, the Caterpie was already gone, having swung off to who knows where.

The overwhelming swarm of Spearow, led by a Fearow at the front, lunged at Roy. He could even see the cold light shimmering on their beaks, as if they could disembowel him in the next second.

He couldn't run; for some reason, this body was unusually weak.

Just as Roy thought he was going to die right after transmigrating, a purple fatty appeared and drove the swarm away with a Shadow Ball of purple energy, narrowly saving him.

Roy had already fainted from physical weakness and the shock of the moment. His last memory was that big purple fatty standing in front of him.

When he woke up again, he was inside a coffin.

Surrounded by two old people, a little girl, and the Gengar that had saved him, he learned through conversation that he had transmigrated into the forest on the outskirts of Mt. Pyre in the Hoenn region.

The elderly couple were the ones from the game who guarded the Blue Orb and Red Orb on Mt. Pyre.

The little girl was their granddaughter, Phoebe, the future Ghost-type Elite Four of Hoenn.

He had actually been saved by the most mysterious family in the game!

Upon learning that Roy was alone and had no one to rely on, the two elders exchanged a look and took him in.

The condition was that he had to work on Mt. Pyre five days a week! Six full hours every day! He would only get 6,000 Poké Dollars a month, with 20 days of paid annual leave...

After hearing the terms, Roy, who had been a corporate slave for half his life, was stunned. This kind of good thing had finally come his way!

He immediately hugged the old man's leg, declaring that he could work here for the rest of his life. The old man patted Roy's head, lamenting the inhuman life the child must have lived before.

For the two and a half years since then, he had lived on Mt. Pyre.

Flashback end.
