Roy found the two little ones' antics amusing and joined in.
Just as he was about to lie down and sleep, something happened.
Suddenly, a gust of wind blew his bedroom door open.
Roy sprang up from where he had lain down. There was nothing outside the door, but he could feel someone watching him from beyond it.
"Who's there!"
At the sound of Roy's voice, the gaze vanished. Still, Roy knew that feeling of being watched had not been his imagination.
Just as Roy was about to give chase, Marshadow slipped out of his shadow ahead of him and pursued whatever was outside.
Roy hurried after Marshadow.
Once outside, Roy sensed Marshadow's presence and followed in that direction.
But as he chased after Marshadow, he realized they seemed to be heading toward the place he had visited at noon... the Dragon Cave.
Just as he had expected, Roy arrived at the entrance to the Dragon Cave.
As Roy prepared to investigate, the old man's Intermediate King level Haxorus appeared and blocked his way into the cave. Roy had only been able to enter freely before because the old man had given his permission.
If Roy wanted to enter again, he would need the old man's permission.
Of course, Roy couldn't go wake the old man at this hour. What was he supposed to say-that a ghost from the Dragon Cave had been spying on him?
In the end, he could only give up.
His instincts told him it had something to do with the Giant Dragonite skeleton inside the cave, but with Haxorus guarding the entrance, he certainly couldn't force his way in.
