After learning what had happened, Professor Oak had asked everything he needed to and directed Dragonite to leave.
As he left, Professor Oak looked back at Roy from Dragonite's back.
"Don't leave the ruins tonight. Wait until I tell you to go tomorrow."
"Then could you arrange somewhere for me to camp, Professor?"
"Where's your Palossand?"
"I left them in Ecruteak City. I haven't gone back to pick them up yet."
"Just pitch a tent yourself and get some sleep."
Watching Professor Oak leave without pausing for a moment, Roy muttered, "Cheapskate," then had Dragapult take him back to the ruins, where he pitched a tent outside the researchers' camp.
Time to sleep!
Just as Roy lay down in his reclining chair, ready to make do for the night, the Poké Ball at his waist began to shake. Golurk had noticed that Roy wanted to sleep and wanted to stand guard for him.

Roy told Golurk to relax. The war was over, and what Golurk needed now was a good rest. He would take Golurk out to have fun tomorrow.
Only after hearing that did Golurk's Poké Ball stop shaking.
It was already past two in the morning, but Roy wasn't sleepy at all. He opened his Communicator again and found Cynthia's contact. It had been a week since their last conversation.
Ever since arriving in Ecruteak City, he had rescued the Primeape troop, destroyed the Wazik Family, sealed off the Spirit World space, helped treat Pryce's legs... His life had certainly been eventful.
Roy had originally wanted to start a holographic call straight away, but after glancing at the time on his Communicator and the pitch-black sky outside, he sent a message instead.
