People were gathered three layers deep around the beach. Following the crowd's gaze, they saw a young man riding a surf-board gliding across the crests of the waves on a wide stretch of surf.

Gym Leader Brawly stood on his surfboard, his movements smooth and fluid. At times he leaned low to press over a breaking swell, and at times he leaped into the air to avoid the rolling froth.

Though people were knocked over by the waves from time to time, splashing heavily into the water, no one complained of pain. Instead, they laughed, climbed back up onto their boards, and resumed practicing.

The beach was filled with an atmosphere overflowing with youthful energy.

Out on the sea not far away, a Hariyama comparable in size to a Snorlax stood firmly in the water. Its thick arms swung, and its heavy palms slammed against the surface.

With a muffled bang, the seawater was struck into a neat wall of waves that surged toward Brawly and the students.

It was creating training waves for Brawly and the students.

Though massive in build, this Hariyama moved with exceptional agility, the force of its every slap
