Lin Mo was originally an ordinary college student from another world. After a car accident, he awoke as a fourteen-year-old orphan in Dewford Town, unable to afford even a proper Poké Ball or begin a conventional Trainer journey. 1

He began livestreaming his fishing attempts to earn Popularity Points through his Live Streaming System. Upon reaching 1,000 points, the system activated fully, and he caught a Shiny Feebas that became his first partner, Xiao Mei. 1 2
