"The Foundation Establishment of Martial Dao begins with Qi Refining.
And to refine qi, one must first find the 'qi' contained within the body.
There are two ways to find it.
The first is through familiarity with, sensing, and pondering one's body—perceiving the 'qi' within it, and thereby locating the body's 'qi.'
The second is through practicing certain moves and forms, as well as strengthening the physique, forcing the body's inner 'qi' into being.
Now, my disciple Zhang Yi will demonstrate several circulation paths through which the existence of 'qi' is most easily visualized. Repeatedly visualize these paths, and there is a certain chance that you will discover the 'qi' within your body."
At this point, Zhang Yang called Zhang Yi over, had him bare his upper body, and drew several lines across him.
These lines had all been verified by Zhang Yi as the places where 'qi' could circulate most easily.
According to Zhang Yang's understanding, these routes should have been called meridians.
Of course, this world was different, and the living beings it nurtured were not entirely the same. He did not know whether the concept of meridians would interfere with other people's cultivation.
Therefore, he only introduced the circulation paths of "qi" without raising the concept of meridians.
Everyone listening to the lecture firmly etched the several routes marked on Zhang Yi's body into their hearts.
Because these were very likely the foundation of Martial Dao cultivation.
Among Azure Cloud Sect's hundred thousand disciples, many could not cultivate the Immortal Dao or the Divine Dao because of their physical talents.
