Uchiha Rin
"Activate your Observation Haki and survey the island's layout and enemy distribution."
Rin nodded in response, his eyes gently closed, and an invisible Observation Haki spread out silently like a tide, steadily covering the entire Iron Reef Port sea area and the island's hinterland.
In just a few breaths, she withdrew her senses, slowly opened her eyes, and her eyes revealed a clear judgment.
"There are about three hundred auras on the island, the vast majority of which are concentrated in the natural rock fortress on the southwest side. The fortress is surrounded by numerous hidden sentries, indicating a very high level of security." She paused briefly, precisely detecting the most ferocious aura.
"There's an aura far surpassing that of ordinary pirates, a very oppressive feeling; it should be that captain Devil Fruit User."
Chunwu nodded slightly, his expression calm and composed.
"Everyone will rest for one hour, replenish fresh water and dry rations, and then assemble and depart on time."
The team members scattered in response, each busy with their own tasks, and prepared the supplies in an orderly manner.
Chunwu leaned against the ship's railing, resting with his eyes closed, but he could clearly hear the hushed chatter of his teammates on the other side of the dock.
Several teenagers responsible for purchasing supplies gathered around a local stall, selecting local dried fruits and snacks, creating a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.
A girl with a high ponytail held a few plump dried fruits in her hands, her eyes brimming with lively joy, and whispered, "It's supposed to be an official sea voyage for training missions, but why does it feel like a spring outing?"
His companion rolled his eyes helplessly and jokingly reminded him, "Stop dreaming. There aren't any pirate captains with bounties of 200 million waiting for us on a spring outing. Wake up."
Rin stood not far away, taking in the whole scene. Her tense heartstrings quietly relaxed, and a faint smile appeared on her lips, which quickly returned to normal.
She walked to Chunwu's side and said softly, "These guys don't have the slightest sense of tension before battle."
"That's actually for the best." Chunwu opened his eyes and looked into the distance, his gaze piercing through the layers of sea breeze and landing in the direction of Iron Reef Port. "Being too tense will only make you more prone to panic and making mistakes in actual combat."
He straightened up, and his clear voice rang out at the opportune moment, echoing throughout the harbor. "All personnel assemble, proceed to Iron Reef Port."
The sailboat raised its sails again and set sail. By the time the ship slowly entered the waters near Iron Reef Port, dusk had already fallen.
As the setting sun sank below the horizon, its crimson afterglow cast a somber glow upon the rugged rocks, lending the entire island a sense of desolation.
Rin once again unleashed her Observation Haki, precisely locking onto the entrance and exit points of the pirate fortress. She then took out a charcoal pencil and quickly sketched on the back of the sea chart, clearly marking the distribution locations of all the sentries and patrol routes. The dense lines exposed all the loopholes in the enemy's defenses.
Chunwu quickly scanned the entire defensive map with his lowered eyes, instantly finalized the tactics, and assigned tasks swiftly and efficiently.
"One team will follow me in a frontal assault on the fortress's main gate; the second team, led by Rin, will flank from the reef area; the three of you will stay behind on the sailboat to guard the rear sea area."
He raised his eyes and added, his tone carrying an undeniable weight. "Try to keep them alive for easier registration and processing later. Those who resist fiercely should be defeated on the spot. The key target is the hyena captain; he must be captured alive."
The entire battle ended much faster than expected, lasting only about half an hour.
The hidden sentries scattered around the island were all precisely enveloped by the Uchiha team's Genjutsu, which was used silently. Before they could send out even the slightest warning signal or unusual sound, they all lost consciousness and collapsed to the ground.
The fortress's internal and external security systems collapsed completely before the main forces even engaged in battle.
Chunwu led his main force straight forward, kicking open the heavy wooden door of the fortress. The loud crash stunned all the pirates present.
Inside the fortress's main hall, the captain of the Hyena Pirates was lazily leaning on his throne, drinking and making merry, the strong liquor in his cup still unfinished.
Upon seeing the rows of neatly standing Uchiha boys at the entrance, and noticing the distinctive patterns on their Clan Uniform, the languid drunkenness on his face vanished instantly, replaced by utter astonishment.
He smashed the wine glass in his hand, flipped over to grab the giant spiked club beside him, and charged forward with a roar, trying to fight to the death using his Devil Fruit ability.
But in front of the lit-up Three-Tomoe Sharingan, all his movements were slowed down infinitely.
In the dimly lit hall, the scarlet Tomoe slowly rotated. The hyena captain's swift charge, the brandishing of his weapon, and the taut movements of his muscles appeared as slow as solidified amber in Chunwu's eyes, full of flaws and nowhere to hide.
In just a few exchanges, the Tachi flashed with a cold light and was firmly pressed against the pirate captain's throat, the icy blade against his skin, carrying a deadly pressure.
Chunwu looked down at the great pirate with a bounty of 230 million who had been bullying others in the first half of the story. His expression was calm and his tone was light, but it carried an overwhelming sense of dominance.
That's it?
Captain Hyena froze, his legs gave way, and he collapsed to the ground, his eyes filled with bewilderment and defeat.
He had spent half his life venturing across the seas, fighting countless battles, never imagining that he would suffer a crushing defeat at the hands of a group of teenagers, without even being able to ascertain their true strength.
The battlefield has been cleaned up, and all results have been tallied.
The vast majority of the three hundred pirates inside the fortress were trapped in an Genjutsu and remained unconscious. The few stubborn ones who resisted were all accurately knocked unconscious and subdued, with none escaping and all captured alive.
Rin led his flank squad out from the back mountain corridor, calmly reporting the battle situation, "All the hidden sentries in the back mountain have been wiped out, with no one escaping. The number of prisoners has been verified and matches the intelligence figures."
The matter will be handled in accordance with the Uchiha West Blue Security Regulations. The captain will be detained separately and handed over to the Heavenly Star Guard for further custody.
The sea breeze at Iron Reef Port was cool at night, carrying a faint fishy smell.
Chunwu sat on the stone steps in front of the fortress gate, and under the cover of night and lamplight, he lowered his head and began to write the mission report for this combat training. His handwriting was neat and tidy.
Rin walked slowly over, sat down quietly beside him, looked up at the Hyena Pirates' flag still fluttering in the wind atop the fortress, and said softly, "Our first independent combat experience was much easier than we expected."
"It's just that our opponents are too weak." Chunwu continued writing, his tone clear and insightful. "The truly formidable and powerful ones who can restrain us are all entrenched deep within the New World; those are the real storms we must face."
Rin turned her head to glance at him, a faint smile flashing in her eyes, "The way you said 'That's it' when you subdued the captain just now, your expression was pretty smug."
Chunwu paused slightly as he held the pen, then replied in a low voice, "I learned it."
Whom should we learn from?
"Lord Natsu Yin"
Rin paused for two seconds, then nodded slightly. "Then it's nothing."
As the night deepened, the flamboyant pirate flag atop the fortress was swiftly torn down and shredded by the team members.
