Power Progression

Background

Natsu was originally an Uchiha ninja of the Ninja World with strength described at the Elite Jōnin level, although his official Konoha rank was only Chūnin. Believing that Konoha’s isolation and suppression of the clan would lead to its destruction, he persuaded Fugaku to abandon compromise and act for survival. He also claimed an ability to glimpse a limited portion of that world’s future. 1 2 3 5

His parents had been high-ranking clan members before dying during a supposedly routine border mission two years before the exodus. Their deaths triggered his Three-Tomoe Sharingan awakening. Natsu investigated the incident and suspected Danzō, noting that the mission had actually been an S-rank secret assignment whose details were known only to Fugaku and Konoha’s leadership. Through his mother’s family, Mikoto was his aunt and Fugaku his uncle by marriage. 1 2 5 85

Natsu retains memories of a previous life in which he knew the One Piece story as an anime. Upon realizing that he had been reborn into the Uchiha Clan, he lived under the constant pressure of its impending destruction. His knowledge informed both his preparations against Konoha and his later assessments of the One Piece world. 1 42 85 244

Using extraordinary means, Natsu brought the Uchiha Clan across space into the One Piece world. On Origin Island, he built the clan from a vulnerable displaced group into the dominant force of the West Blue, eventually driving the World Government and Marines from the region. 208 214

The original crossing used a massive teleportation array that Natsu personally carved according to coordinates provided by the Family System. His initial system mission required him to lead more than seventy percent of the Uchiha Clan to the New World and establish a new base. 1 7

During that expedition, he supported Uchiha King of Flame Ninja Village with a First-Generation Gene Serum and recruited the alternate world’s Madara into his Divine Clan. Five years after his near-fatal clash with Imu, the Uchiha Clan had grown from approximately 13,000 members to more than 40,000, including 20,000 ninjas. Natsu's followers still anticipated an eventual return to the Ninja World. 508

Appearance

Natsu is a young Uchiha usually seen in gray-white robes, though he also wears a black Japanese-style combat robe in battle. His most defining feature is his scarlet Three-Tomoe Sharingan, which can take on a Feihong glow when he exerts high-level chakra or Sage Mode. 77 103 104 164

Personality

Natsu is cold, calculating, and ruthlessly pragmatic. He treats threats to the Uchiha Clan as debts to be repaid, using intimidation, torture, and overwhelming force without hesitation against pirates, Cipher Pol, Marines, and Celestial Dragons. 24 105 106 222

Despite his detachment, he values loyalty and repays those who aid the clan. He supported Whitebeard’s effort to rescue Ace because Ace had helped Origin Island and the Whitebeard Pirates had taught the Uchiha about Haki. 133 135

He is openly egoistic and does not frame his rule as charity. Natsu seeks to replace the Celestial Dragons as the world’s true divine authority, maintaining order because a stable population is the foundation of his envisioned eternal Uchiha rule. 1 371

Around Izumi, Sasuke, Kunwu, and Newgate, he shows a quieter and more teasing side. He comforts Izumi after his recovery, trains Sasuke personally, and engages in familiar banter with Whitebeard. 189 225 229

Following the Summit War, Natsu increasingly acts as a supervisor and long-term builder rather than the clan’s sole frontline solution. He deliberately limits immediate expansion and intends for the wider sea to force the Uchiha to develop independent strength, judgment, and leadership. 227

His concern for the Uchiha extends beyond revenge. After mourning four fallen clansmen, he reflected that he did not want his people to live in hatred forever; he wanted a secure home where they would no longer fear extermination. He also opposed sending young Uchiha children into battle for Konoha’s “Will of Fire.” 28 87 88

Natsu rejects the idea that the Uchiha must remain subordinate to the Asura lineage or serve as its predestined opponents. His demanding mentorship of Sasuke is intended to produce a next-generation pillar capable of overturning that perceived fate and demonstrating the Uchiha’s superiority. 428

His demeanor changes markedly under Takamagahara. While assessing the Demon Entities, he becomes unusually detached even from his own body and clansmen. Madara interprets this as the domain eroding Natsu’s humanity and bringing his mentality closer to the emotionless World Will, rather than merely an extension of his ordinary coldness. 586
