The Mangekyō Sharingan lay quietly hidden behind his eyelid. The power and laws concealed within it far surpassed those of the Ōkuninushi in his right eye.
And now, those eyes looked across a thousand miles of sea, through the black rift in the sky that had yet to close completely, and fixed quietly, precisely, unmistakably on the source of Uranus.
Somewhere in the void, a well-hidden coordinate was slowly emerging from the chaos of war.
It was Uranus's hiding place: the ultimate weapon a supreme being had forged eight hundred years ago with the full might of an entire nation, the heaviest, most terrifying blade hanging over the whole sea.
Natsu lowered his gaze slightly, a genuine smile touching his cool lips.
"Found it."
Madara Uchiha gazed up at the sky.
The dark rift pierced by Uranus was slowly closing. Shards of lingering light flickered along its edges like scattered stars.
The smell of ozone still hung in the air. Seawater poured into the enormous hole, thousands of meters wide, left in the sea, producing a deep rumble like muffled thunder.
Madara hovered at Susanoo's brow, his Rinnegan narrowing slightly.
His gaze fell on Imu. He watched the half-human, half-demon figure gasp for breath, his Demon Wings drooping weakly, the dark red glow of his twenty King's Blades far dimmer than before.
A faint trace of wariness flickered through Madara's eyes, suppressed beneath his indifference.
That beam of light. Uranus.
Madara knew better than anyone what it would have cost him to take that beam head-on if it had struck him instead of the second meteor, with the foundation of his Rinnegan not yet fully stabilized.
Even if he survived, he would have been gravely wounded.
He had not expected Imu to have a trump card like that hidden away.
