Tang San arrived at Nuoding Academy as a work-study student and was accepted as Yu Xiaogang's disciple. After Su Changqing publicly mocked Yu Xiaogang's cultivation and theories, Tang San immediately developed hostility toward him and promised to avenge his teacher. 3 4

At the work-study dormitory, Tang San challenged Su Changqing despite not yet possessing a Soul Ring. His Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track and concealed darts failed to hit Su Changqing, who defeated him and warned him against further lethal attacks. 4 5
