Bathed in Owen's Healing Light, the wound on the nun's neck quickly healed. Though her face was still somewhat pale, she had already regained consciousness.
"Be careful, Count Rist. He's a Vampire."
The moment the nun opened her eyes, she grabbed Owen's arm, her expression tense.
"Please rest assured, madam. We already know, and we have his likeness. May I ask what kind of Vampire Rist is, who his progenitor is, and what weaknesses his bloodline has?"
Owen soothed the nun. His sunny, gentle temperament made him especially suited to this sort of thing.
He helped the nun sit up and lean against the bed before questioning her. She was no ordinary person either, and quickly calmed down.
"Rist is a Vampire from Count Dracula's bloodline. They fear sunlight and cannot enter an enclosed space without an invitation. We're on a ship now, aren't we?"
"Yes. You are very wise, madam."
"That's wonderful. Rist can only rest in soil from his homeland, so he must have brought some with him. Find the soil, and you'll find Rist."
After confirming her surroundings, the nun swiftly offered a solution. She knew that Vampire extremely well.
"May I ask your name?"
"Van Helsing Ina."
"Van Helsing!" *4
Aside from Yang Mu, everyone showed surprise and admiration at that surname. Clearly, it was no ordinary name. That name alone had nearly earned her the trust of all four of them.
The Van Helsing Family was a family active in the Supernatural World, as well as one of the strongest known families of demon hunters. Any aberration that sought to disrupt worldly order and slaughter humans everywhere was their prey.
Their primary targets were Vampires, Werewolves, and certain other Demons.
Rumor had it that their ancestor was the incarnation of an Angel in the mortal world, and that they were a family from Heaven.
Yang Mu knew nothing about this. Had he known, he would not have been surprised that this nun possessed a Pure Heart. The family would also have been added to his list of key targets, so he could capture Angels through them in the future.
From Ina's account, they also learned Count Rist's background. He was a powerful Vampire who had lived for four hundred years and had been entangled with Ina's branch of the family for two hundred.
Not long ago, Ina's branch had received support from the main family. A powerful demon hunter named Van Helsing Kent had arrived and completely destroyed Rist's lair.
They had been hunting him down, and he no longer had a foothold anywhere along the South Coast. That was why he had no choice but to flee to another region.
And Ina was his hostage.
After obtaining this information from Ina, everyone understood why Rist had killed the first mate and captain.
Clearly, he did not want to go to Princeton. Though the ship was now enveloped in White Mist, it had not stopped sailing. It was steadily heading in a certain direction.
The people aboard the ship were likely food Count Rist had prepared for himself.
Once they understood his purpose and plans, dealing with him became much easier.
Compared to Van Helsing Ina's suggestion, Yang Mu had a better method. Since Rist had prepared so much food, the voyage clearly would not end anytime soon.
Then if something went wrong with the food, would Count Rist have no choice but to turn back?
"Plague Spread!"
Yang Mu raised his cane and tapped the Void. A green spell formation filled with ominous energy flashed through the air and vanished.
"What did you do?"
Sabo asked after seeing the fleeting spell formation, worry in his voice.
"Nothing. Just an ordinary bit of witchcraft. In two hours at most, we'll meet Count Rist."
After saying that, Yang Mu ignored the others' astonished stares and returned directly to his room.
"Cough, cough, cough..."
"Cough... cough, cough, cough..."
Before long, everyone on the ship began coughing, and it only grew worse, becoming so violent that they could barely breathe.
Gradually, some began coughing up blood, their faces turning black. In less than an hour, people began dying one after another.
"This madman!"
"All black wizards are madmen, perverts, lunatics."
Sabo, Owen, Vanessa, and Felice all cursed. There were only so many supernatural beings on the ship, and they were all together. There was no need to guess who had done it.
"I'm going to kill him!"
Owen roared furiously and grabbed his sword, about to seek out Yang Mu. When the others saw they could not stop him, they could only follow him.
But Yang Mu had already brought his Undead Servants onto the deck and ordered three ordinary Werewolf servants to drag all the bodies there.
By the time they searched the cabins and reached the deck, more than thirty bodies had already been piled there.
Calling them corpses was not entirely accurate, because several sturdy sailors were still coughing up blood and had not yet completely died.
These were everyone aboard the ship besides the supernatural beings.
"Why did you do this? We already had a way to deal with the Vampire."
The moment Owen saw Yang Mu, he immediately demanded an answer. During the search, he had gradually calmed down under everyone's persuasion. Now, they were facing a Vampire Count.
If they did not gather all their strength, what chance did they have? Therefore, even though he was furious at Yang Mu's actions, he had to suppress his anger to survive.
Ina, from the Van Helsing Family, showed no excessive reaction. Her family had already paid too much to deal with Count Rist, and too many ordinary people had been dragged into it. They had long since become numb.
Yang Mu turned a deaf ear to his questioning. He merely sat in a chair, leaning on his cane as he quietly waited. Count Rist would surely be enraged that his stored food had been wasted like this, and would make a move against them.
Yes, them—not Yang Mu alone.
Clang! Just as Owen, seeing that Yang Mu had no reaction, was about to step forward and attack, he suddenly raised the knight's sword in his hand before his chest. Sparks flew as he staggered back several steps.
"Hmph, you've finally shown yourself."
After steadying himself, Owen looked up at the middle-aged nobleman who had suddenly appeared before him—Count Rist, the Vampire Count.
There was no trace of anger in his eyes now. His face was utterly composed and calm.
Everything just now had merely been an act to lure the other party into attacking. Though he had appeared to be blinded by rage and poorly guarded, he had remained alert to every change in the surrounding environment.
The instant the Vampire Count appeared, the group surrounded him.
Yang Mu, who had been sitting amid the pile of corpses waiting, also smiled.
"I hear Vampires all love blood. Then I'll use blood to make you a cage."
"Blood Web into Silk."
