Harvest Halloween

That afternoon, after finishing her meal, Muya had Shalian spray fake blood over her bandages, then put on the white dress and applied ghastly pale makeup.

When she stepped outside, she saw Hagrid still arranging the lights and decorations in the corridor. "Hagrid, do you need help?"

"Ah!" He jumped in fright, nearly dropping the decoration in his hand.

"Sorry, it's Mya Mu, Hagrid." Muya apologized, then walked up to Hagrid and gave a little "hehe" laugh.

"Oh, it's Mya Mu! That outfit is really something—I got quite a fright, hahaha! Could you help hang these decorations on the lights?" Hagrid chuckled, holding his stomach, then handed the decorations to Muya.

"Sure!" Muya eagerly got to work.

Hagrid left this side to Muya and went to work on the other side.

"La, la, la!" Muya hummed a creepy nursery rhyme as she hung up the decorations.

"Ah! There's a female ghost! Master Malfoy, let's not go this way!"

"Yeah! Who knows whether that female ghost eats wizards!"

Two unfamiliar voices came from the doorway. Then the door was suddenly pushed open. Muya turned and saw several figures—uh... two of them had collapsed onto the floor.

Muya narrowed her eyes and recognized Draco and Theodore among the other three. The last one was someone she did not know.

She waved at them. "Hey, Draco and Theodore, good morning!"

"Mya Mu?" Draco, dressed as a vampire, spoke up.

"Bingo, it's me." She walked over to them. Though she had not scared them, she had frightened the two on the floor. Muya used the Levitation Charm to prop them up against the wall.

"Good morning, Mya Mu." Theodore was wearing his usual clothes.

Muya looked at the dark-skinned boy beside them. Just as she was about to introduce herself, he spoke first. "I'm Blaise Zabini. Hello, Miss Mya Mu." He even gave her a bow.

Muya thought he probably just cared about ceremony. Should she do the same? No, wait—he already knew her name. Did she even need to introduce herself?

"Hello, Blaise." Forget it, a greeting would do.

Blaise raised an eyebrow. Were Easterners all this open? Did they just use first names right away?

In truth, Muya simply thought their names were too long, so she called them by the first part.

When Draco saw Blaise raise his eyebrow, he hurriedly asked, "Mya Mu, what are you doing here?"

"I'm helping Hagrid decorate this place. I just finished, and these are the extras." Muya smiled and waved the decorations in her hand.

Muya suddenly remembered why she was dressed like this. "Can I ask for candy now?"

"Hmph, this young master's candy isn't for just anyone." Draco said that, but he still placed several pieces of candy into Muya's hand.

"Here, Mya Mu." Theodore also gave her several lemon Snow Treasure Candies.

Then Muya turned her gaze to Blaise. "Blaise, we only just met, so you don't have to give me any."

Blaise smiled and took out several pieces of candy as well. "How could I not, Mya Mu?"

Muya happily put all the candy into the little sack she had prepared for it. Now she was ready to find her next target. "I'm going to ask other people for candy now. Goodbye, everyone!"

The three said goodbye as well. After Muya left, Goyle and Crabbe, who had been leaning against the wall, began to wake up.

Muya decided to start with the person who would be hardest to get candy from. Off to the Slytherin Snake King's office!

"Professor Snape, are you in?" Muya knocked on the door and called out again.

Just as she thought Snape was not in his office and was about to look elsewhere, the door opened.

Muya looked up and met Snape's frowning face, giving him a guilty smile.

"Has Miss Muya missed detention so dearly that she has come to disturb her professor's rare holiday?" The Snake King began spraying venom. Muya was already used to it.

"Professor Snape, I came to ask for candy." She looked up at Snape with wide eyes and an obedient smile.

Snape was silent for a moment. "Wait." He turned and walked inside. When he returned, he gave her a great many candies of all kinds.

"Whoa, Professor Snape, are you giving all of these to me?" Muya stared in shock at the sack that had suddenly grown much larger. Then she continued, "What about the other young wizards who come to ask you for candy?"

Snape gave a cold snort. "They would not dare ask me for candy." He glanced behind him again, then said to Muya, "Miss Muya has received what she wanted. I hope that she and Miss Abbott will make better potions next class."

"I will, Professor Snape!" Muya said goodbye to Snape and prepared to visit the other professors.

When she entered Quirrell's office, she accidentally startled him. After Muya apologized and explained why she had come, Quirrell gave her a handful of candy.

When Muya went to McGonagall's office, Professor McGonagall was writing her lesson plans. A huge sack filled to the brim with candy sat on the floor. Professor McGonagall told Muya to grab as much as she liked. After she had taken a handful, she saw Hermione and the others come in as well.

They greeted one another and marveled that Muya had managed to get so much candy. Muya explained that more than half of the candy in the sack had been given to her by Snape, and they looked even more astonished.

The remaining professors also gave Muya some candy. She was now practically a candy tycoon. On her way back to the common room, she ran into Fred and George. She gave them some candy, then asked for several pieces of their newly invented prank candy and put them separately in her pocket.

Then she ran into Susan, who was returning from the owlery, and Shalian and Hannah, who were returning from the library. The girls laughed as they headed back to the common room together.

"What! You actually went to ask Professor Snape for candy? And he gave you this much?" Hannah stared in disbelief at the sack Muya had placed on the dormitory floor.

"Oh yes, Hannah. He also told us to make our potions better next time." Muya picked up a piece of candy, unwrapped it, and popped it into her mouth.

After leaving the dormitory, Cedric and the other two also gave them candy. Sean even said Muya's outfit looked really cool.

That evening was the Halloween feast. The food on the tables had all become a little terrifying, though it still tasted good. The decorations around the Great Hall were wonderfully spooky, creepy music played in the background, and everyone wore whatever outfit they considered frightening.

Fred and George dragged Muya off to ask for even more candy. By that night, probably everyone knew about the little female ghost wrapped in bandages and covered in blood.

After looting all the candy in the castle, Muya suddenly remembered that she had not asked for candy outside the castle. There was that Mermaid she had only met once. Hopefully I can scare it and get some candy, Muya thought.
