Quidditch Training

Mya Mu returned to the grass by the Black Lake, waved her glowing wand over the lake's surface, and suddenly, a hand emerged, followed by a head of long blue hair. It was the Mermaid she had seen that day.

The Mermaid blinked when he saw Mya Mu's familiar face. "You again, little wizard." Remembering the intelligence in Mya Mu's eyes last time, he realized he had forgotten that she could not understand Mermaid language.

So this time, he kindly spoke in English. He braced one hand on the ground while his tail swayed in the lake. "What are you here for this time, hmm?" He smiled and met Mya Mu's gaze.

"Uh... so you can speak human language." Though Mya Mu was a little disappointed that she had failed to scare him, she had not forgotten why she was here.

"Ahem, Mr. Mermaid, do you have any candy?" Mya Mu looked at the Mermaid expectantly.

The Mermaid froze, then looked at her outfit and realized that it was Halloween. On this day, people dressed up to scare others and ask for candy.

Unfortunately, he was only a Mermaid. He did not celebrate Halloween, nor did he have any candy. However, he felt like teasing the little wizard before him. "I don't have candy. Is there anything else you want?"

"Oh, something else... let me think." She truly had more than enough candy already and was planning to share some with Susan and the others.

"I want a pearl. Is that okay?" Mya Mu crouched down and looked at the Mermaid.

"Of course. In return, I want to know your name," the Mermaid said.

"Um... if I tell you, can you tell me your name?" Mya Mu asked cautiously. Dumbledore had told her about some curses, and she did not dare reveal her name carelessly. What if there were curses that could be cast using someone's name?

"Of course. When we meet for the third time, I'll tell you." The Mermaid did not get angry, and subtly made it clear that he wanted to see Mya Mu again.

"Mya Mu. My name is Mya Mu." As soon as she spoke, the Mermaid reached out his hand. In his palm lay a pale blue pearl.

Mya Mu took it and examined it curiously. It was her first time seeing a blue pearl!

"I should go now. See you next time, Mya Mu." With that, the Mermaid plunged headfirst into the Black Lake.

Mya Mu happily tucked the pearl into her pocket and returned to the common room.

Once November arrived, the weather grew colder and colder. A blanket of white mist could be seen every morning after waking up.

That morning, Hufflepuff and Gryffindor had Flying class together.

That afternoon, Mya Mu thought she ought to visit the three-headed dog and give it a hot bath while she was at it. Only after spending some time with Hagrid had she learned that the three-headed dog was actually his pet.

All right, she would help Hagrid give them a nice, happy bath today.

Mya Mu carried an empty bucket with a sponge and a bar of soap inside, then headed straight for the fourth floor.

When she opened the door to the room where the three-headed dog was, it stared at Mya Mu excitedly. "Woof, woof."

"Oh, Fluffy, I'm sorry I didn't bring you any fresh meat today." Fluffy lowered his head, visibly disappointed.

"But if you cooperate and let me bathe you nicely, I'll go to the kitchen and bring you some." She laid out the condition first, then dangled the bait. Sure enough, Fluffy became excited again.

Mya Mu carried the bucket over and first used the heated version of Water Like Spring to wet Fluffy's body. Then she picked up the sponge and soap and began scrubbing him down.

All three of Fluffy's heads cooperated. They neither thrashed around nor made trouble, and Mya Mu finished bathing him without any difficulty.

After cleaning up all the water, she kept her promise and went to the kitchen. She tickled one of the pears, took several plates of freshly prepared meat from the house-elves, and gave them to Fluffy.

Afterward, Hannah and the others dragged her to watch their house's Quidditch training. She saw Cedric sitting proudly on his broomstick, full of spirit.

"Oh, Cedric and the others are really amazing. I really hope our house can win the Quidditch match on the eighth!" After Susan sighed, she began discussing the strength of the other houses' Quidditch teams with Hannah.

"If you ask me, Cedric's strategy this time isn't bad. He told us a little about it beforehand. Let's hope we win." Sean spoke while eating the snacks Mya Mu had given him.

"I heard Gryffindor's Harry Potter will be playing. If Cedric faces him, won't people say it's unfair?" Shalian spoke slowly, patting Mya Mu's back at the same time after she choked on a potato chip.

"Have some water." Vester handed Mya Mu a cup of water, then answered Shalian. "No. No one gets special treatment on the field just because they're young. Of course, no one will say it's unfair either."

"Strength and teamwork are the keys to a match." Vester continued watching the group flying overhead.

After a while, Gryffindor's team also arrived to practice. Cedric and the others were tired, so they left and gave them the field.

Mya Mu did not return to the common room with Shalian and the others. She planned to stay and watch Gryffindor's training with Hermione and the others.

But among a group of little lions, Mya Mu, a Little Badger, stood out conspicuously. A boy wearing a Quidditch uniform walked up to her. "Hello. Everyone from your house has left, so why haven't you? Why are you staying here to watch us train?"

Mya Mu spoke up. "Sorry, Senior. I just wanted to watch Harry train with my friends." She realized that he might be worried she would tell Cedric and the others about Gryffindor's training tactics. "I promise, I'm only here to watch Harry. I don't mean to spy on your strategy."

"All right, then you can watch from here." Behind him, the twins in matching uniforms walked over. Only then did they notice Mya Mu, and immediately came over to ruffle her hair.

"Oh, Little Badger, are you here to watch us train?" Fred asked.

George added, "Then make sure you get a good look at our heroic bearing."

"Oh, Fred, George, I'm here too." Ron rolled his eyes at the two of them.

Ron: So Mya Mu is the only one you can see? What am I, your brother?

"You two! Fred, George, get over here and start training already!" It was the boy who had questioned Mya Mu earlier.

"Oh, Wood, how could you use such a fierce tone? You scared our Little Badger stiff." Fred winked at Mya Mu.

George played along. "Yeah, Little Badger only came to watch."

Mya Mu covered her face. They really should hurry up and start training. She was feeling a little awkward now.

After the two of them said that, Wood actually believed them. He apologized to Mya Mu, then dragged the pair away to train.
