Muya once again came to the meadow in front of the Black Lake and waved her glowing wand at the lake's surface. Suddenly, a hand emerged, followed by a head with long blue hair – it was the merman she had seen that day.
The merman blinked and saw Muya's familiar face. "You again, little wizard." Because he had seen the wisdom in Muya's eyes last time, the merman realized she had forgotten that he couldn't understand Mermish.
So this time, he kindly communicated in English. He propped one hand on the ground, his tail swaying in the lake. "What brings you here this time, hmm?" he asked, looking at Muya with a smile.
"Uh... so you can speak human language," Muya said, a little disappointed that she hadn't scared him. But she hadn't forgotten her main purpose.
"Ahem, Mr. Merman, do you have any candy?" Muya looked at the merman expectantly.
The merman froze. He looked at her attire and realized it was Halloween. On this day, people would dress up to scare others and ask for candy.
Unfortunately, he was just a merman. He didn't celebrate Halloween and didn't have any candy. However, he felt like teasing the little wizard in front of him. "I don't have candy, but is there anything else you want?"
"Oh, other things, let me think." She already had enough candy and planned to share some with Susan and the others.
"I want pearls, is that okay?" Muya squatted down and looked at the merman.
"Of course. In return, I want to know your name," the merman said.
"Hmm... if I tell you, can you tell me your name?" Muya asked cautiously. Dumbledore had told her about curses, and she didn't dare to easily reveal her name. What if there were curses that could be cast using just a name?
"Of course. We'll talk about it during our third meeting," the merman replied. He wasn't angry and subtly indicated his desire to see Muya again.
"Ya Mu, my name is Ya Mu." As Muya spoke, the merman's hand reached out. In his palm was a light blue pearl.
Muya took it and looked at it curiously. It was her first time seeing a blue pearl!
"I should go. See you next time, Ya Mu," the merman said before diving headfirst into the Black Lake.
Muya happily tucked the pearl into her pocket and returned to the common room.
As November arrived, the weather grew colder. Every morning, a white mist could be seen.
In the morning, Hufflepuff and Gryffindor had flying class together.
In the afternoon, Muya decided she should visit the three-headed dog and give it a hot bath. After spending some time with Hagrid, Muya learned that the three-headed dog was actually his pet.
Alright, today she would help Hagrid give them a happy bath.
Muya carried an empty bucket, inside which she placed a sponge and a bar of soap. She headed straight for the fourth floor.
Upon opening the door to the three-headed dog's enclosure, they looked at Muya excitedly. "Woof woof."
"Oh, Fluffy, I'm sorry I didn't bring you fresh meat today." Fluffy lowered its head, visibly disappointed.
"However, if you cooperate nicely with your bath, I'll go to the kitchens and get some for you." She set the condition first, then dangled the bait. Fluffy's excitement was rekindled.
Muya carried the bucket over. She first used the heated water like a spring to wet Fluffy's body, then picked up the sponge and soap to scrub it.
All three of Fluffy's heads were cooperative. They didn't move around or cause trouble, and Muya finished bathing it smoothly.
After cleaning up all the water, she kept her promise and went to the kitchens. She scratched a pear on the wall, and the house-elves brought out several plates of freshly prepared meat, which she then gave to Fluffy.
Afterward, she was pulled by Hannah and the others to watch their house's Quidditch training. She saw Cedric sitting proudly on his broom.
"Oh, Cedric and the others are so amazing. I really hope our house wins the Quidditch match on the 8th!" Susan exclaimed before discussing the strengths of other houses' Quidditch teams with Hannah.
"If you ask me, Cedric's strategy this time is quite good. He gave us a little hint beforehand. I hope we win," Sean said while eating the snacks Muya had given him.
"I heard Harry Potter from Gryffindor will be playing. If Cedric faces him, will it be considered unfair?" Shalian asked slowly, patting Muya's back as she choked on potato chips.
"Have some water," Vester handed Muya a cup of water and then replied to Shalian, "No, on the field, no one will be treated specially just because they are younger, nor will it be considered unfair."
"Strength and teamwork are the keys to the game," Vester continued, watching the group flying in the sky.
A while later, the Gryffindor team also arrived to prepare for practice. Cedric and his team were tired, so they left the field to them.
Muya didn't return to the common room with Shalian and the others. She decided to watch Gryffindor's training with Hermione and the others.
But among the group of little lions, Muya, the little badger, stood out. A boy in a Quidditch uniform walked up to Muya. "Hello, everyone from your house has left, why aren't you leaving? Why are you watching our training here?"
Muya replied, "Sorry, senior, I just wanted to watch Harry train with my friends." She realized he might be worried she would tell Cedric's team their training strategy. "I promise, I'm just here to watch Harry, I have no intention of spying on your strategy."
"Alright, then you can watch here." Behind him, the twins, also in team uniforms, walked over. They saw Muya there and immediately went to ruffle her hair.
"Oh, little badger, are you here to watch our training?" Fred asked.
George chimed in, "Then you better watch our heroic stances closely."
"Oh Fred, George, I'm here too," Ron said, rolling his eyes at the two of them.
Ron: You only have Ya Mu in your eyes, right? What am I, your brother, to you?
"You! Fred, and George, hurry up and start training!" It was the boy who had just questioned Muya.
"Oh, Wood, why were you speaking so harshly just now? You scared our little badger." Fred winked at Muya.
George chimed in, "Yeah, the little badger is just here to watch."
Muya covered her face. They had better start training soon; she was feeling a bit awkward right now.
Hearing this, Wood actually believed them. He apologized to Muya and then dragged the two away for training.
