Little Dragon Needs Freedom

"Since it's your invitation..." Muya opened the door herself and pulled Draco in.

"Cool, look at its big wings, they even have spikes, and it looks even cooler when it breathes fire." Draco, like Hagrid, circled the little fire dragon, examining it closely.

Harry and the other two exchanged speechless glances at Draco, while Muya calmly snacked on her treats.

Draco and Hagrid got along quite well at this point. Draco's name was also the constellation Draco, so he had loved dragons since he was young and really wanted to raise one.

They stayed for a while and then left. Muya went to the vegetable garden to weed.

"Hello, are you junior student Ya Mu?" It was a very beautiful Eastern Ravenclaw girl.

For the next week, Harry and the others were afraid that Hagrid's raising of the fire dragon would be discovered, so whenever they had free time, they would run to Hagrid's hut. Usually, when they arrived, they would see a platinum-blonde Draco on the sofa.

Muya, on the other hand, came and went sporadically.

During this time, it grew almost every day, and it was now three times its size when it first hatched.

They began to feel uneasy about the little fire dragon and Hagrid. "Hagrid, you should really let it go now."

Hagrid hugged the little fire dragon, looking reluctant. "No, I can't. It's still so small, it will die alone outside!"

Puffs of smoke came out of the little fire dragon's nostrils.

This week, Hagrid had neglected his job as gamekeeper to take care of the little fire dragon.

The floor of the hut was also covered with empty brandy bottles and a pile of chicken feathers.

"I've decided to call it Norbert," Hagrid said tearfully as he looked at Norbert, "It really recognizes me now. Look, Norbert, Mommy is here!"

Muya put her forehead in her hand, surprised by Hagrid's inner maternal love.

"But Hagrid, in about two weeks, the little fire dragon, or Norbert, will grow big enough to burst your house. Then everyone will know you broke the law," Harry said, raising his voice.

Draco stepped forward, chin held high. "My family can completely accommodate this little fire dragon. Why don't you keep it at my place?"

Muya shook her head. "I'm afraid that won't work, Draco. Norbert has only been hatched for a week. What it needs now is professional care." She then looked at Ron.

"Oh Ya Mu, you mean Charlie." Ron accurately received her signal.

"That's right, Ron's brother Charlie is a professional dragon tamer, so it's best to entrust it to him."

"What do you think, Hagrid?" Harry asked.

Finally, Hagrid agreed. He asked Ron to send an owl to ask Charlie.

After leaving Hagrid's house, Draco pulled Muya along behind him. His face was full of resentment and dissatisfaction. Muya didn't need to guess to know that her words had angered the proud young master.

"Hmph, why didn't you agree to keep the little fire dragon at my house? You know very well that I love dragons just as much as Hagrid!" Draco frowned, his eyes still red.

"But after Charlie and the others finish taking care of Norbert, they will release it into the wild. It might not receive professional care at your home."

"My family can also hire dragon tamers, and they're even better than that red-haired mole's brother!"

"But, little dragons are free. It doesn't belong to anyone or any family. Its life should be created by itself." Muya wiped away the tears that had fallen from Draco's eyes.

Hearing this, Draco instantly fell silent and let Muya wipe his tears.

He then reacted and covered his face, running away quickly.

"What's wrong with Malfoy?" Ron said.

"I don't know, maybe he's in a hurry to use the restroom." Harry said, and he and Ron exchanged a laugh. Hermione looked speechless from the side.

On Thursday morning of the following week, Muya saw Ron with his hands wrapped up. He had good news and bad news.

The bad news was that last night, Ron went to Hagrid's hut to help feed Norbert. Norbert had started eating dead mice from a crate, and it had even bitten Ron.

Muya looked at his wound and told him to hurry to the school infirmary to see Madam Pomfrey, but he insisted on telling her the good news first.

Charlie had replied. He was very happy to adopt Norbert and had arranged to take the fire dragon away from the highest tower next Saturday night under the cover of darkness.

After he finished speaking, Muya went with him to the school infirmary. When Madam Pomfrey asked them what had bitten Ron's hand, Ron replied that it was a dog, and Muya quickly nodded. However, Madam Pomfrey had a "I don't believe you" expression. Fortunately, she didn't ask further.

Soon, Harry and Hermione came to the infirmary after class. Muya left. Her next class was Potions with Slytherin. She decided to tell Draco the news about sending Norbert away, and thus, a group of people watched in surprise as Muya and Draco became partners.

However, Snape only glanced at them and said nothing.

Muya and Draco whispered to each other while making potions, guarding against Snape. In the end, the potion they made was even praised by Snape.

In the afternoon, Muya and the others went to see Norbert. Unfortunately, Norbert had bitten the tail of Hagrid's other dog, and Hagrid's leg had also been bitten, though it only grazed his boot.
