"Oh dear, have some biscuits first. They're fresh out of the oven," Mrs. LeMay said, bringing a plate of biscuits from the back room. She walked with a steady gait, not like a little old lady of several hundred years.

Muya picked up a biscuit and thanked her, sighing in relief that she no longer had to maintain a smile.

Then, to her utter surprise, Nicolas Flamel gave her the Sorcerer's Stone, calling it a welcome gift for students.

Muya clutched the hot potato, unsure whether to accept it or not. After Dumbledore gave her a meaningful look, she decisively took it.

Just now, Dumbledore had communicated with her separately, saying that Nicolas Flamel and his wife had many other longevity-enhancing alchemical products and didn't lack this Sorcerer's Stone.

Fine, since that was the case, Muya accepted it with a clear conscience. After all, she wanted to see if the Sorcerer's Stone could truly turn lead into gold. Hehe.

Then, with her homework unfinished, Muya was forced to begin a routine of studying Alchemy with Nicolas Flamel during the day and practicing Apparition with Snape at night.

Even after receiving the invitation to Draco's birthday party, Muya merely sent a gift and a letter expressing her regret and apologies for not being able to attend.

Next, she received a letter from Hermione, asking what birthday gift she was preparing for Harry next month.

Muya's head was swimming. She had no choice but to decide to use some of her free time to prepare Harry's gift.

"Snap out of it. That's all for today," Snape said, tapping the top of Muya's head with his wand before leaving her trunk.

When he first entered Muya's trunk, he had been startled. And then, he had seen all the strange and peculiar items in the house.

He could only marvel, Has the Muggle world really developed this far?

After studying with Nicolas Flamel for about a month, Muya had already learned to make some simple alchemical products. She let her mind wander, wondering if she could combine magic and technology.

Unfortunately, the Flamel couple was going on vacation next month. They would also be getting some different alchemical materials for their new students to practice with.

On Snape's end, Muya could now Apparate short distances, so he began urging her to write her summer homework.

Sigh, Muya now desperately missed Vester tutoring her with her homework during Christmas.

She wasn't planning on doing homework today. She intended to mail a few alchemical toys she had just made to the Weasley twins, and she even included some pocket money that Dumbledore had just given her.

She had her own money, of course, but since it was free money, she might as well use it to fund the prank squad's startup.

Suddenly, she remembered the scene of the Weasley twins testing the blood-sucking potion. She pressed her forehead, Why are those two so reckless?

Draco wasn't entirely wrong about one thing: most Gryffindor students were indeed prone to impulsiveness.

She was certain that those two often tested those prank props themselves.

They quickly sent a reply, on one hand marveling at Muya's rapid progress in Alchemy, and on the other hand wondering how Muya knew they were planning to open a joke shop.

Muya scratched her head. She had purely guessed that part.

"Come down for dinner," Snape's voice rang out. Muya immediately responded and hurried downstairs.

Later, Muya spent a week finishing her homework and then found herself with nothing to do.

Muya thought she could help Snape decorate their home, so she pestered him into taking her shopping in the wizarding world.

Snape brought Muya to Hogsmeade Village. He thought there wouldn't be many colorful decorations like streamers here; he didn't want his home to turn into some kind of party venue.

"Professor Snape, what does that shop sell?"

At Honeydukes.

"Professor Snape, I have money. How about I treat you to some candy?"

In front of the Shrieking Shack.

"Professor Snape, why does this house look so dilapidated? Does no one want it?"

At the Hog's Head Inn.

"Professor, I'm feeling a bit thirsty. Can we go in for some water?"

Snape pulled her away, informing her that it was a pub, and a rather shady one at that, forbidding her from going there.

Snape frowned and took Muya to Diagon Alley.

Seeing so many people on the street, Muya, who suffered from social anxiety, instantly felt like her tongue was tied.

"Hey, little badger, I didn't expect to run into you here."

"Yeah, looks like my brother and I are having really good luck today."

Hearing these voices, Muya knew it was Fred and George. She quickly greeted them.

Snape, standing beside her, gave her a few instructions and then left.

Originally, Fred and George had been hesitant to approach with Snape present. Now that Snape was gone, they immediately stood on either side of Muya.

"Oh, what are you two doing here?" Muya asked.

Fred patted Muya's head. "We're here to buy some things."

"That's right. We were just heading out when we saw you, and Professor Snape."

Muya excitedly grabbed their hands. "Then let's go! I'll go with you."

"Of course, you can."

Muya watched Fred and George pick and choose, then make a mark in a small notebook.

"Are these all the ingredients you need?"

"Yeah, we need to constantly mix potions and test prank props at home too," Fred said. As soon as he finished speaking, he saw Muya staring at him and immediately shut his mouth.

"Oh, Fred, what's next?" George walked over, holding some potion ingredients.

Muya sighed. After the three of them paid, Fred and George decided to go buy some ice cream, and Muya naturally agreed.

They chatted while eating ice cream.

"Is the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher going to be a new one next semester?" Muya stirred her ice cream.

She didn't want another professor like Quirrell. Having a wizard who already frequently used dark magic teach Defense Against the Dark Arts seemed like a rather peculiar fit.

"Oh, it should be."

"Listen, little badger, the Defense Against the Dark Arts class has been cursed by the Dark Lord," Fred said mysteriously.

"I heard that no Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher has ever lasted a full semester."

After hearing this, Muya found it extremely unsettling. She wondered if this curse could be broken.

Dumbledore probably wasn't busy looking for a new suitable person for Defense Against the Dark Arts.

Honestly, Muya thought Dumbledore's judgment wasn't that great.

After they finished their ice cream, Snape returned, carrying a small black bag.

Muya threw away her trash, said goodbye to the twins, and then instinctively took Snape's hand, leaving with him.

When they got home, Snape placed the bag on the table, and only then did Muya see that it was filled with Galleons.

If you find this book good, remember to add it to your bookshelf so you don't lose it next time.
