Hagrid held his stomach and laughed. "Look, Harry did brilliantly. I should give Gryffindor three points."
"No, that's not fair, you big lump!" Draco stepped forward, so angry his hair seemed ready to stand on end.
"Let Draco have a try too, Hagrid." Muya knew it was completely impossible to stop Draco from competing with Harry.
The two of them were like natural-born rivals.
Hagrid spread his hands. "Oh, all right. Mr. Malfoy, come interact with Buckbeak too."
Draco walked out and shot Harry a provocative look. Harry rolled his eyes at him.
Then Draco gave Buckbeak an elegant aristocratic bow.
Buckbeak lifted its right leg and lowered its head.
Seeing this, Hagrid clapped his hands. "Oh, two points to Slytherin."
Draco raised his chin and returned to Muya's side. "Wow, Draco, you're amazing too. That was such a beautiful bow." That tone and those words, like she was praising a child, were just right for Draco.
"All right, now you can line up and bow to Buckbeak." Hagrid waved his hand, signaling the young wizards to form a queue.
Unexpectedly, a student got into trouble soon afterward. Buckbeak nearly kicked him, but fortunately Hagrid pulled out his wand and cast a defensive spell.
The first Care of Magical Creatures lesson finally ended without incident. Hagrid had no idea how many times he had secretly wiped away sweat.
After class, Muya went to ask Hagrid how he felt about teaching for the first time.
Hagrid was smiling, though his words came out in a jumble. "Oh... I really didn't expect... I thought I'd ruin the first lesson. After all, I truly don't have any teaching experience."
Muya smiled. "Actually, the lesson was pretty good, wasn't it?"
He nodded sharply twice. "Yes, that's right. Ya Ya, do you have classes next?
