Finding a ninja who never stayed in one place was actually very difficult in the Shinobi World. Especially now that Orochimaru had joined forces with Ōtsutsuki Isshiki, ordinary ninja had even less hope of finding them.
So Uchiha Shunichi simply decided to have Ryūchi Cave notify Orochimaru.
Although Orochimaru's relationship with Ryūchi Cave wasn't particularly good, he still used its summoned creatures.

"Don't... don't, don't hurt me! Whatever you want to ask, just ask. I'll tell you everything..." Little White Snake hurriedly begged for mercy.
He could already feel that he had lost the protection of the Summoning Contract. If he died now, there would be no saving him.
Generally, summoned creatures were protected by their Summoning Contracts when ninja summoned them. If they were injured too badly or exhausted too much of their strength, the contracts would send them back.
Of course, an attack powerful enough, or a sufficiently strong person, could easily strip away that protection.
