Bei Bei's First Trial
Next up are Bei Bei and her Senior Sister Zhang Lexuan.
The Valley of Heaven-and-Earth Valley of Love Inquiry never plays by the rules; it always seems to stab people in the softest spot.
Since Bei Bei is a person, the objects matched for him are naturally those with whom he has the best relationship.
The one he was closest to was naturally his Senior Sister, Zhang Lexuan, since they had known each other since childhood and grew up together.
However, Bei Bei has always treated Zhang Lexuan as her older sister, and their relationship is even closer than that of a biological sister. If someone who doesn't know the rules of Heaven-and-Earth Valley of Love Inquiry were to match the two of them together, they would definitely be completely confused.
Tang San's arrogant voice echoed through the valley. His gaze swept over Bei Bei, who stood alone in the clearing, and he asked the same opening question as everyone else, "Do you have a lover?"
Bei Bei straightened her back ramrod straight, without the slightest hesitation. "Yes."
"Who is she?"
"Tang Ya."
Tang San's voice held a hint of amusement that was hard to pinpoint. "Tang Ya? She's not here, is she?"
"Yes."
Bei Bei's voice remained calm and steady.
Tang Ya couldn't possibly be here at this moment. She had been taken away by the Holy Spirit Cult and become what they called the Blue Silver Saintess, trapped in a quagmire and powerless to control her own destiny.
All around were couples, but Bei Bei was all alone.
Tang San seemed to realize that one person couldn't advance the assessment, so he changed the subject and asked, "What's one thing you'd be willing to do for someone you love?"
Bei Bei took a deep breath, her eyes swirling with pain and determination. "Let Tang Ya return to normal, let Tang Ya come back to my side."
Tang San chuckled, his laughter filled with condescending sarcasm. "Do you think she'll be happy if she comes back to you?"
"I will do anything to make her happy."
This statement was made with absolute certainty.
"Words are no proof."
Tang San's voice suddenly turned cold. "If I were to ask you to give up a part of your body in exchange for her health, would you be willing?"
"I do."
Bei Bei blurted it out almost without thinking.
In his heart, as long as Tang Ya could break free from the control of the Evil Soul Master and return to the little girl who used to laugh, play, and cling to his sleeve, he wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice his life, let alone lose an arm or a leg.
No sooner had she finished speaking than a short blade appeared out of thin air in front of Bei Bei, its gleam in the sunlight so bright it hurt her eyes.
Tang San's voice, carrying an undeniable command, rang out again. "Then castrate yourself."
Star Dou Forest, at the bottom of the Lake of Life.
A hint of undisguised disgust flashed in Gu Yuena's cold eyes.
"So despicable, unworthy of being called God King."
She spoke calmly, her tone devoid of any warmth. "Using someone's beloved as leverage to force them to endure such extreme humiliation—only Tang San could do that."
The Three-Eyed Golden Lion rubbed its sleepy eyes, glanced at the contents of the diary, and instantly bristled.
Her golden fur stood on end, and she angrily waved her little paws, shouting, "How wicked! How could Tang San be so annoying? How could he come up with such a terrible idea! He's not a kind god at all, he's a big bad guy!"
Bei Bei froze completely.
He had already prepared for the worst. He could endure losing an arm or a leg. At worst, he could double his training and still protect Tang Ya.
But he never dreamed that the "part of the body" Tang San mentioned would actually be this.
This is not just a physical disability, but also the most thorough trampling of a man's dignity.
But Bei Bei only paused for a brief moment; the next second, his gaze became as firm as iron once more.
He raised his head, looked into the void, and asked, word by word, "Are you sure you can restore Tang Ya?"
Tang San did not answer directly, but instead conjured a clear image in front of Bei Bei.
In the scene, Tang Ya sits alone on a cold wooden bed, leaning against the wall, staring blankly at the gray sky outside the window.
His face was deathly pale, devoid of any color. His once bright and cunning eyes were now empty and lifeless, like a puppet whose soul had been ripped out.
Seeing this, Bei Bei felt as if an invisible hand was gripping his heart tightly, the pain almost suffocating him.
He clenched his fists, as if making a decision.
Tang San's voice came again. "You just said that you were willing to give up a part of your body for her."
Why are you hesitating now?
Do you regret it? It's okay to regret it; it's not too late to give up now.
Bei Bei didn't speak, but her hand trembled as she reached out and grasped the short blade.
He looked at the haggard Tang Ya in the picture, a gentle smile flashing in his eyes, which was then replaced by a deeper resolve.
"I'd do anything for her."
Bei Bei's voice was a little hoarse, but exceptionally clear. "If you can really cure her, then please make her forget me, forget everything about being with me, okay?"
If I really became like that, even if Tang Ya returned to normal and came back to him, she would never be happy.
Rather than letting her carry the burden of pain with me for the rest of her life, it's better to let her completely forget the past and start a new life.
Tang San's voice carried a barely perceptible hint of satisfaction. "That's fine."
Having received an affirmative answer, Bei Bei no longer hesitated.
He closed his eyes, gripped the short blade tightly, and plunged it fiercely into his own groin.
An excruciating pain instantly swept through her body, and Bei Bei felt a blackout before her eyes, almost fainting.
However, the expected blood did not gush out, and the short blade vanished without a trace at the same time.
He suddenly opened his eyes and found that his hands were empty.
That last slam was simply his clenched fist slamming hard into his own groin.
It turned out that he had fallen into an illusion the moment the dagger appeared.
The pain that felt so real and terrifying, and the feeling of being on the verge of despair, were all fake.
Bei Bei slumped to the ground, panting heavily. Cold sweat streamed down her face, and the back of her clothes was completely soaked with sweat.
All I can say is that Tang San is really something else. He can even come up with such a despicable trick as making someone castrate themselves. It's a wonder he's a God King has lived for hundreds of thousands of years, yet he can do something so low.
Fortunately, Bei Bei managed to get through this first hurdle without any major incidents.
However, Heaven-and-Earth Valley of Love Inquiry Heaven-and-Earth Valley of Love Inquiry has its own rules. The tests here must be completed by two people with deep feelings for each other. No one can pass all the tests alone.
Therefore, Bei Bei was automatically matched with the person who was closest to him at the time.
And this person is Zhang Lexuan, the Senior Sister of the Shrek Academy.
Moreover, Zhang Lexuan harbored a secret that even Bei Bei herself was unaware of.
