Readers joked even more harshly: nominally, it's the older sister taking her younger brother to get treatment, but the actual process is: taking off clothes and getting into the water → close-fitting treatment → a large dose of tonics and refills → the younger brother "growing up".

So, Ma Xiaotao not only relied on her younger brother to put out the fire, but also personally corrupted her innocent junior brother. She can't shake off this responsibility.

The anime adaptation cut most of this plot, leaving almost nothing behind. Ironically, this only fueled the book fans' enthusiasm for the story, making the Sea God Lake a constant topic of conversation whenever Ma Xiaotao.
