Background / History

Huo Yuhao was born as the unacknowledged son of Dai Hao, the White Tiger Duke, and Huo Yun'er. He and his mother lived in a side courtyard of the White Tiger Duke's Estate, where they endured hunger, cold, and mistreatment. At six, he awakened the Spirit Eyes Martial Soul with only level-one Innate Soul Power; the estate mocked him, while Huo Yun'er was punished after Zhu Shi branded him an ill omen. 274

His mother taught him that strength was necessary to escape their circumstances. Yuhao trained far beyond his limits despite his slow progress, but Huo Yun'er later died from illness, overwork, grief, and the loss of access to medicine. At her grave, Yuhao abandoned the Dai surname, swore to become strong, and left for Shrek Academy at age eleven. 274

Traveling alone through the Star Dou Forest's outskirts, he survived on scant supplies and repeatedly avoided Soul Beasts and bandits with his Spirit Eyes. He initially intended to hunt an ordinary Soul Beast for a first ring, but Sky Dream Ice Silkworm instead chose him as a host and became his Million-Year Wisdom Soul Ring. Tang Ya and Bei Bei later rescued him from Soul Beasts and brought him into the Tang Sect. 7 274 275

The Tang Sect's special quota allowed Yuhao to enter Shrek Academy without taking its standard entrance examination. In the original timeline described by the diary, he became roommates with Wang Dong, later Wang Dong'er, and their unusually high Martial Soul compatibility led to a Martial Soul Fusion Skill. Together with Xiao Xiao, they won the Freshman Assessment and became Core Disciples. 275

The altered storyline diverges from that account. Tang Ya finds Yuhao unconscious after his encounter with Sky Dream Ice Silkworm, and he immediately accepts her invitation to join the Tang Sect. Lin Ye suspects psychological suggestion by Tang San, but this is his interpretation rather than a confirmed explanation for Yuhao's decision. Wang Dong'er recognizes that Tang Ya's diary knowledge has changed the timing of their meeting. 32

Lin Ye's arrival also disrupts Yuhao's expected relationship with Wang Dong'er. Although Lin Ye initially sees an assignment involving all three in Dorm 108, Yuhao subsequently encounters Dai Huabin as his dormitory opponent, while Wang Dong'er remains close to Lin Ye rather than following her original romantic path. 39 54 56

Appearance

As a child, Huo Yuhao was described as thin, frail, and poorly nourished from years of neglect in the White Tiger Duke's Estate. Even after leaving, he retained a stubborn, intensely focused expression. 29 274

  • Thin, small stature during his early time at Shrek Academy. 54
  • Waxen complexion and lingering injuries when he left the Duke's Estate. 274
  • Bright, determined eyes that reflected his refusal to submit to hardship. 274
  • His Spirit Eyes emit a faint violet-gold glimmer when activated. 232
  • During his duel with Dai Huabin, activating his Martial Soul spreads a pale-blue glow through his eyes and makes his black pupils appear sapphire-like. 55

Personality

Huo Yuhao is driven by endurance, discipline, and a deep need to become strong enough that no one can again harm those he cares about. Even with level-one Innate Soul Power, he trained twice as long as others and continued after exhausting his Soul Power. His willpower later convinced the Ice Empress to fuse with him despite the agony of Ultimate Ice entering his body. 274 275 276

His childhood trauma also gave him a fierce hatred of Dai Hao, the White Tiger Duke's Estate, and the Dai family. This hatred initially made him reckless: he attempted to attack Dai Huabin soon after meeting him and challenged the stronger student despite being heavily outmatched. 54 55 56

Yuhao can restrain himself when necessary. When Dai Huabin's associates provoked him, he endured the humiliation rather than strike first and violate academy rules. He also chose to rescue Dai Hao during the Heaven-and-Earth Valley of Love Inquiry trial despite viewing him as responsible for Huo Yun'er's death. 133 216 217

He is capable of deception under pressure. Following the deaths of the upperclassmen who attacked him, Yuhao convincingly presented himself to Shrek's teachers as an injured, frightened freshman with no capacity to harm two Three-Ring Soul Elders. 228 231 232

Later accounts criticize him as overly focused on Tang Wutong and insufficiently attentive to the responsibilities he leaves behind, particularly the Spirit Pagoda, his companions, and his son Xu Yunhan. 239 243 294 295

Lin Ye's later analysis connects Yuhao's attitude toward fatherhood to his unresolved childhood. Dai Hao becomes a symbol of abandonment in his mind, and his drive to succeed is interpreted as a lifelong attempt to prove that he does not need his father. The diary further suggests that his avoidance of Xu Yunhan partly reflects his lack of any healthy experience of being a son or becoming a father. These are psychological interpretations offered by Lin Ye rather than Yuhao's own stated explanations. 297 298 300

During his early academy life, Yuhao conceals his feelings behind flawless politeness and carefully measured smiles. He bottles up difficulties and tries to shoulder them alone, making it hard for classmates to approach him. After the Freshman Tournament, Sky Dream Ice Silkworm helps him recognize both his impatience and the limits of his current cultivation. 363 364 366

Despite his stubbornness, he seriously considers advice. Encouraged to stop treating others as threats, he begins speaking naturally with Xiao Xiao, accepting offers of help, and joining his classmates for meals. The change surprises Ning Tian, Wu Feng, and Wang Dong'er, while Xiao Xiao welcomes the disappearance of the barrier she previously felt between them. 364 365 366

His later refusal to abandon the Huo surname demonstrates that his attachment to his mother can outweigh even his fear of death. Faced with Tang San and Dai Mubai, he initially chooses resistance despite knowing he cannot defeat them; he compromises only after the resurrected Huo Yun'er asks him to survive. 368

Abilities & Skills

Spirit Eyes

Huo Yuhao's first Martial Soul is a spiritual-type Noumenon Martial Soul. Sky Dream Ice Silkworm's origin-based transformation elevated it from a weak mutation into a top-tier spiritual Martial Soul. 92 232

  • Spiritual Detection — Detects surroundings, threats, weaknesses, and opponents' movements with exceptional precision. 274 275
  • Spiritual Sharing — Shares his perception with allies, allowing a team to coordinate as though it were one body. 274 276
  • Mental Shock / Soul Shock — His primary control technique; it damages or suppresses targets through spiritual force. 263 293
  • Emotional power — Following Snow Empress's arrival, his Spirit Eyes began developing toward control and understanding of the seven emotions. 277
  • Early spiritual reserves — Sky Dream Ice Silkworm initially raises his spiritual power to a level compared with a Soul King's, allowing detection over hundreds of meters despite his low Soul Power. 282
  • Spiritual communication — Can transmit mental commands to teammates during combat, including Wu Feng in the altered Freshman Tournament. 359

His spiritual strength does not remove the limitations of his body, Soul Power, or combat experience. Dai Huabin overwhelms him because his physical reactions cannot match what his Spirit Eyes perceive, while Lin Ye later restricts his opportunities to use Spiritual Detection through close-range pressure. Sky Dream Ice Silkworm explicitly warns him that his other capabilities remain at the One-Ring level. 55 56 359 363

Ultimate Ice

His Second Martial Soul, the Ice Jade Empress Scorpion, grants him the Ultimate Ice attribute and turns him from a support-oriented Soul Master into a powerful offensive combatant. 275 276

  • Freezes attacks and disrupts opponents' Soul Power circulation. 276
  • Enables high-level ice attacks, including the Sigh of the Ice Snow Goddess. 293
  • Allows him to combine battlefield control through Spirit Eyes with direct offensive power. 276
  • Ice Emperor's Fury — Freezes the area within a hundred meters and can impede even a Titled Douluo's movements. 293
  • Sigh of the Ice Snow Goddess — Identified as his ninth Soul Skill; its slash can freeze space and sever mountain ranges. 293
  • Ice Blast — One of the prominent ice abilities associated with his combat system and the Ice Empress's power. 263 264
  • Suppresses other ice-attribute opponents through the superior quality of Ultimate Ice. 367

Soul Spirits and Spiritual Entities

Several powerful beings reside within or support Huo Yuhao's Sea of Spirit, granting him abilities and guidance far beyond a typical Soul Master. 92 264

  • Sky Dream Ice Silkworm — Million-Year Wisdom Soul Ring; mentor, spiritual-power source, and architect of Yuhao's “God-Making Plan.” 7 92
  • Ice Empress — Four-hundred-thousand-year Ice Jade Empress Scorpion; source of his Ultimate Ice Second Martial Soul. 92 275
  • Snow Empress — Seven-hundred-thousand-year Ice Sky Snow Maiden who becomes part of his Soul Spirit system after Yuhao saves her. 92 277
  • Elex / Electrolux — Divine-level remnant soul whose inheritance grants Yuhao necromantic power and access to the Undead Demiplane. 7 185 264

Sky Dream Ice Silkworm also shields the nature of Yuhao's Sea of Spirit during Shrek's investigation into the upperclassmen's deaths. It instructs him not to resist the examining teacher's Soul Power and conceals his spiritual abnormalities while he maintains his innocent act. 232

Holy Necromancer Martial Soul

Through Elex's inheritance, Huo Yuhao gains the legacy of the Necromancer Holy Law God and develops necromantic magic. 264 285 293

  • Uses the Undead Demiplane to survive the Sun Moon Empire's attempt on his life. 185
  • Gains summoning capabilities alongside his spiritual control and Ultimate Ice offense. 285
  • Possesses a Holy Necromancer Martial Soul among his documented combat abilities. 293

Martial Soul Fusion Skills

Huo Yuhao's compatibility with Wang Dong'er allows them to employ multiple Martial Soul Fusion Techniques in the original timeline. 275 283

  • Golden Path / Splendor Amidst Destruction — Combines Mental Shock with physical attacks; it defeated Freshman Assessment opponents immediately upon use. 275
  • Possesses four documented Martial Soul Fusion Techniques in total. 283
  • Later performs a Divine Soul fusion skill with Tang Wutong, reaching the threshold of divine-level power. 292
  • Cultivates Hao-Dong Power with Wang Dong through their closely coordinated training and daily contact. 203

Soul Guidance Devices

Yuhao studies Soul Guidance Devices under Fan Yu and treats them as extensions of his own fighting style rather than replacements for his Martial Souls. His spiritual precision gives him exceptional control over them. 264 276

  • Surpassed He Caitou in Soul Guidance Device studies despite starting later. 276
  • Uses Soul Guidance Devices as finishing tools after controlling the battlefield with spiritual and ice abilities. 263
  • His later equipment makes him comparable to a mobile fortress. 264
  • Incorporates Soul Tool principles into his cultivation system rather than keeping Soul Master cultivation and engineering entirely separate. 356
  • Designs support devices that extend Spiritual Detection and relay information to teammates across a broad area. 357
  • Becomes a Level-Nine Soul Engineer and creates several Level Nine devices, including an unnamed amplifier for both his spiritual power and ice-attribute Soul Power. 357

Spirit Transference Technology

Yuhao designs an integrated Spirit Transference System that combines Soul Guidance Technology with the Soul Spirit system. Its equipment includes a Soul Spirit extraction device, a storage vessel, and a fusion apparatus. These inventions have no direct equivalent in the Sun Moon Empire's existing Soul Tool system. 356

The devices become part of the Spirit Pagoda's infrastructure, allowing Soul Masters to obtain suitable Soul Rings at nearby towers instead of undertaking dangerous, long-distance hunts. Lin Ye credits this work with changing relations between humans and Soul Beasts for over ten thousand years. 357

Yuhao also pioneers specialized Soul Tools that combine Soul Spirit energy with Soul Tool circuits. These can operate using a Soul Spirit's power while demanding little Soul Power from the user. 357

Emotion-Based Techniques

  • Hao Dong's Three Ultimates — Techniques associated with his longing for Wang Dong'er, rendered in the diary as Dong-Yearning Spring, Dong-Longing Sword, and Hao Dong Palm. Their conspicuous names provoke embarrassment and amusement among the diary readers. 183 184
  • Fate Power — Fusion with the Three-Eyed Golden Lion's Fate Power produces a qualitative improvement in his spiritual power and further refines his command of emotional power before his Titled Douluo breakthrough. 278

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Golden Dragon Spear — Wang Qiuer's body becomes this golden weapon after her sacrifice; it becomes Yuhao's bonded spear. 160
  • Soul Guidance Devices — Advanced devices integrated into his combat style and later arsenal. 264 276
  • Undead Demiplane — Elex's inherited sanctuary and survival resource. 185
  • Ice Empress Soul Bone — A Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Bone obtained alongside the Soul Ring and Second Martial Soul created through the Ice Empress's sacrifice. 367
  • Unnamed Level Nine Amplification Device — A personally designed Soul Tool that strengthens both his spiritual power and ice-attribute Soul Power. 357
  • Spirit Transference Equipment — His extraction, storage, and fusion devices form the technological foundation of the Spirit Pagoda's transference services. 356 357
  • Life Gold — Listed among the exceptional resources supporting his versatility and importance to the Shrek Seven Monsters. 266
  • Top-grade Healing Medicine — Given to him by Lin Ye during his recovery from the upperclassmen's assault; he accepts it while remaining suspicious of Lin Ye's intentions. 225

Relationships

  • Huo Yun'er — Mother; her love, death, and final wish that he “live well” shaped his determination to leave the White Tiger Duke's Estate and become strong. Tang San later resurrects her and uses her presence as leverage; her plea that Yuhao survive persuades him to accept the Dai surname. 274 368
  • Dai Hao — Biological father and White Tiger Duke; Yuhao hated him for the suffering of Huo Yun'er and himself, but later rescued and reconciled with him. Dai Hao publicly adds him to the estate's genealogy in the diary's account. After Yuhao's ascension, Dai Hao is brought to the Divine Realm, scolded by Dai Mubai, and later described as remaining under Yuhao's surveillance. 133 278 297 368 373
  • Sky Dream Ice Silkworm — First Soul Ring, mentor, and spiritual companion; guides Yuhao's cultivation and repeatedly warns him against impulsive choices. After his tournament defeat, it also helps him separate his self-worth from his immediate strength and encourages him to trust his classmates. 7 92 217 363 364
  • Ice Empress — Second Martial Soul and Ultimate Ice source; initially resistant, she accepts Yuhao after witnessing his willpower. The Ice Empress reading the diary recognizes this as the choice of her original-timeline counterpart, not an already completed fusion in the altered storyline. 92 275 276
  • Snow Empress — Soul Spirit who joins Yuhao after he saves her; expands his Ultimate Ice and emotional power. 92 277
  • Tang Ya — Tang Sect master who, with Bei Bei, rescues Yuhao and offers him a home in the declining sect. In the altered storyline, she comforts and protects him when Xu Sanshi harasses his grilled-fish business. 109 274 275
  • Bei Bei — Tang Sect senior disciple who rescues Yuhao in the Star Dou Forest and becomes one of his early supporters. Confronts Xu Sanshi on Yuhao's behalf and later tries to moderate his obsessive cultivation during Wang Dong's absence. 109 274 275 348
  • Wang Dong'er / Tang Wutong — Roommate, partner, and eventual beloved in the original timeline; their high compatibility produces powerful fusion skills, and they reunite after Yuhao's ascension. In the altered storyline, Wang Dong'er rejects Tang San's intended arrangement, feels hostility toward Yuhao, and does not develop their original romance. The diary also distinguishes Yuhao's memories of Wang Dong'er from his later relationship with the awakened Tang Wutong. 63 134 243 275 278 279 344
  • Wang Qiuer — Saved Yuhao multiple times; he concedes a trial match partly to repay her, while her later sacrifice creates the Golden Dragon Spear. 133 160
  • Xiao Xiao — Freshman Assessment teammate in the original timeline; initially dismissive of Yuhao's low Soul Power, she comes to value his Spiritual Detection. In the altered storyline, she condemns his bullying, organizes an infirmary visit, and becomes one of the first classmates with whom he speaks openly after the tournament. 220 223 275 364 366
  • Juzi / Ju Zi — Virtue Hall rival and confidante; they develop mutual understanding but choose opposing paths. She later bears his son, Xu Yunhan, after taking advantage of his unconsciousness without his knowledge or consent. Lin Ye also imagines a separate hypothetical timeline in which they become partners and Yuhao helps her relinquish her hatred; this is speculation, not an established outcome. 276 294 295 331 332 337
  • Dai Huabin — Dai family member and early enemy; Yuhao's hatred leads to a reckless duel and escalates into continued harassment by Dai Huabin and others. 54 55 216 220
  • Lin Ye — Classmate whose motives Yuhao distrusts after Sky Dream Ice Silkworm senses danger from him; Lin Ye nevertheless provides Yuhao with healing medicine. They later face one another in the Freshman Tournament finals, after which Yuhao acknowledges Lin Ye's superior Soul Power and studies how he countered Mental Shock. Sky Dream Ice Silkworm subsequently reminds Yuhao that they are not enemies. 223 224 225 359 361 364
  • Rong Nianbing — Previous God of Emotions who guides Yuhao's final trials and passes his divine position to him. 278 279
  • Xu Yunhan — Yuhao's biological son with Juzi; future accounts state that Yuhao distances himself from the child after learning the truth. Lin Ye acknowledges that Yuhao was forced into fatherhood without consent, while criticizing his subsequent refusal to acknowledge or visit the child. 294 295 297 298
  • Mu En — Teacher and major supporter at Shrek; the diary emphasizes the resources and personal sacrifice he devoted to Yuhao's growth. 239 264 338
  • Fan Yu — Soul Guidance Device teacher who guides Yuhao's engineering studies. 276
  • He Caitou — Fellow disciple under Fan Yu; Yuhao eventually surpasses him in Soul Guidance Device studies despite beginning later. 276
  • Tang San — Divine figure whom Lin Ye portrays as arranging Yuhao's opportunities and using Wang Dong'er, the Tang Sect, and the Clear Sky Sect to control him. In the diary's ascension account, he directly hunts Yuhao and uses the resurrected Huo Yun'er to force a compromise. 247 253 262 368
  • Dai Mubai — Divine ancestor who demands that Yuhao adopt the Dai surname and threatens to assist Tang San if he refuses. Yuhao initially rejects him before yielding at his mother's request. 368
  • Niu Tian / Da Ming and Tai Tan / Er Ming — Clear Sky Sect guardians whose demands repeatedly obstruct his efforts to see or save Wang Dong'er and Tang Wutong. His visits involve enduring their pressure, challenging Tai Tan, and kneeling outside Haotian Castle to seek their help. 343 347 348
  • Ye Guyi — In the future recounted by the diary, Yuhao rescues her during his escape from the Sun Moon Empire's trap, and she develops unrequited feelings for him. 185
  • Xu Sanshi — Harasses Yuhao over his grilled-fish prices in the altered academy storyline, prompting Tang Ya and Bei Bei to intervene. He is also counted among Yuhao's later companions in the diary's original-timeline account. 109 242

Story Role / Major Arcs

Escape from the White Tiger Duke's Estate

Following Huo Yun'er's death, Yuhao leaves the estate alone at age eleven, determined to reach Shrek Academy and escape his life of humiliation. His journey through the Star Dou Forest leads directly to Sky Dream Ice Silkworm and his first Million-Year Soul Ring. 274

Tang Sect and Freshman Assessment

In the original timeline recounted by the diary, Tang Ya and Bei Bei recruit Yuhao into the Tang Sect, enabling his admission to Shrek Academy. He forms a team with Wang Dong'er and Xiao Xiao, wins the Freshman Assessment, and publicly reveals Golden Path. 275

The altered academy storyline produces a different result. Yuhao reaches the Freshman Tournament finals but loses to Lin Ye, earning a reputation as the tournament's runner-up. Lin Ye avoids a contest of spiritual reserves, instead using his superior Soul Power and close-range physical pressure to restrict Yuhao's actions. Yuhao nevertheless continues resisting and sends a mental command to Wu Feng during the fight. 359 361 365

Conflict with Dai Huabin

Yuhao's unresolved hatred of the Dai family drives him to attack and challenge Dai Huabin. As a One-Ring Soul Master, he is decisively defeated by the Two-Ring Dai Huabin, but refuses to admit defeat. 54 55 56

Expulsion Crisis and Upperclassman Bullying

After failing Zhou Yi's physical test, Yuhao protests that his strength lies in spiritual power rather than endurance. Zhou Yi suppresses him with Soul Emperor pressure, but Zhang Lexuan and Director Du Weilun intervene to prevent his expulsion. 68 69

Dai Huabin later has upperclassmen harass Yuhao. He initially endures their provocation, but is eventually forced to kneel, beaten, and left with a fractured arm. After the attackers die from Mental Shock, Yuhao survives Shrek's investigation by maintaining an innocent act. 216 217 220 223 231 232

Xiao Xiao brings Lin Ye, Wang Dong'er, and Ning Tian to visit him in the infirmary. Lin Ye gives him top-grade medicine, although Yuhao remains suspicious of the gesture. The diary reveals that Lin Ye wants him healthy enough to participate in the upcoming tournament and finds his wary response entertaining. 223 225

Opening Up to His Classmates

After the altered Freshman Tournament, Yuhao admits that Lin Ye's Soul Power exceeds his own but struggles to accept the defeat. Sky Dream Ice Silkworm explains that spiritual reserves do not substitute for Soul Power, Soul Skills, and combat experience, urging him to cultivate steadily rather than demand immediate results from every opportunity. 361 363

Yuhao takes the advice seriously. He joins Lin Ye, Wang Dong'er, Xiao Xiao, Ning Tian, and Wu Feng for breakfast, discusses Soul Rings and cultivation with Xiao Xiao, and quietly accepts her offer of help. His less guarded behavior draws attention both at the table and in class. 364 365

Rise as Shrek's Dark Horse

With Ultimate Ice, Spiritual Detection Sharing, and fusion skills with Wang Dong'er, Yuhao becomes crucial to Shrek Academy's victory in the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Soul Fighting Tournament in the original timeline. His performance establishes him as a continent-wide prodigy and earns him an exchange-student position at Virtue Hall. 276

Heaven-and-Earth Valley of Love Inquiry

The diary recounts Yuhao conceding to Wang Qiuer before he and Wang Dong'er enter Deep Adventure. Their assigned task forces him to rescue Dai Hao from Sun Moon Empire assassins despite his hatred of his father. Failure would cost both his life and Wang Dong'er's, and he ultimately chooses to save Dai Hao. 133

Tang San, posing as the God of Love, subsequently creates an apparent crisis in which one of the two women must sacrifice her life and soul to save Yuhao. The diary also describes Tang San repeatedly killing and reviving Yuhao until he becomes emotionally numb. These revelations deepen the diary readers' distrust of the trials and Tang San's intentions. 133 134

Four Visits to the Clear Sky Sect

The diary presents Yuhao's repeated Clear Sky Sect visits as major tests of both his determination and his relationship with Wang Dong'er and Tang Wutong. His first visit is associated with obtaining the Snow Empress Soul Spirit and advancing to Soul King, while the frustration following his second visit drives exceptionally intense cultivation. 350

During Wang Dong's absence, Yuhao advances from Five-Ring to Seven-Ring in less than a year. On his third visit, he defeats six disciples who attempt to stop him and challenges Tai Tan for permission to see Wang Dong. His Ultimate Ice, spiritual power, and Snow Empress Soul Spirit fail to overcome Tai Tan's Indestructible Diamond Body, which reflects his attacks. The later account states that learning of Wang Dong's memory loss leads him to leave immediately in search of her. 348 350

Another visit follows Zhongli Wu's ambush during a gauntlet battle. Tang Wutong takes a death-aura dagger intended for Yuhao and falls into a deep coma. Yuhao defeats the Death God Demon Puppet and wounds Zhongli Wu but cannot halt her deterioration. He carries her to the Clear Sky Sect and, after Er Ming kicks him down the steps, kneels outside Haotian Castle in the wind and snow to beg for help. Da Ming recognizes his desperation as genuine. 343

The account of the fourth visit associates its aftermath with both Yuhao and Tang Wutong entering the Super Douluo ranks. 350

Spirit Pagoda and Soul Engineering

Yuhao's engineering work extends beyond combat equipment into a complete technological system for spirit transference. His extraction, storage, and fusion devices allow the Spirit Pagoda to offer Soul Rings through a continent-wide institutional framework, reducing the need for dangerous Soul Beast hunts. 356 357

Lin Ye credits this achievement with an influence lasting over ten thousand years, even while other diary entries criticize Yuhao for failing to safeguard the institution's later direction. The accounts therefore distinguish the significance of his invention from the subsequent consequences of leaving the Spirit Pagoda behind. 243 247 357

War and Titled Douluo

During the Sun Moon Empire's invasion, Yuhao serves as an “Ultimate Individual Soldier” behind enemy lines. He later becomes a Titled Douluo, leads the united forces that end the war, reconciles with Dai Hao, and receives Rong Nianbing's invitation to inherit the God of Emotions' position. 278

The diary places his Titled Douluo breakthrough at nineteen. It also recounts his later victory with Tang Wutong over Zhongli Wu in the Evil Demon Forest after both have newly reached Rank 98, an achievement expected to greatly elevate his standing across the Douluo and Sun Moon Continents. 294 312 374

Ascension

Yuhao travels the continent to understand joy, anger, sorrow, delight, love, hatred, disgust, and the six desires. After realizing that emotional power is founded on empathy rather than control, he inherits the God of Emotions' Godhood and reunites with Tang Wutong in the God Realm. 279

Later diary entries reveal that his arrival is not the uncomplicated reunion he expected. Tang San attacks and pursues him across the Divine Realm. Dai Mubai then demands that he become Dai Yuhao and threatens to join Tang San if he refuses. Yuhao initially rejects the demand, openly breaks with both gods, and prepares to fight despite knowing he is outmatched. 368

Tang San has already resurrected Huo Yun'er as a final means of leverage. She tells Yuhao that changing his surname will not erase their bond and asks him to remain alive. He kneels before her, weeps, and accepts the name Dai Yuhao. Dai Mubai withdraws his threat and Tang San ends the pursuit. Dai Hao is subsequently brought to the Divine Realm, where Dai Mubai rebukes him for neglecting his family. 368

The diary later describes Dai Hao as remaining under Yuhao's surveillance and portrays Yuhao's divine life as burdened by his mother's expectations, his unresolved relationship with the Dai family, Tang San's schemes, and the duties of the God of Emotions. 373

Hypothetical Life Without Tang Wutong

Lin Ye explores an explicitly hypothetical timeline in which Yuhao never shares a dormitory with Wang Dong and never develops his relationship with Tang Wutong. He suggests that Yuhao would devote more attention to cultivation and advance faster, but might also remain more emotionally isolated. 331 334 335

In this imagined future, Yuhao and Juzi could become partners, with their shared experiences of resentment allowing a different kind of mutual understanding. Lin Ye speculates that he could ease her hatred and prevent her path toward becoming the Sun Moon Empire's Empress War God. Both Wang Dong'er and Juzi react to this possibility, but it is not presented as an accomplished development in the altered storyline. 331 332 337
