Ark Simulator, Don't I Lack a Physical Body?
There are few people in the mountains, so there's no need to worry about being disturbed, but... Su Rui grinned mischievously and leaned close to Ifrit's ear:
"What if we get too engrossed in playing and it gets so late that it's nighttime, and we have to go back in the dark? Aren't you afraid that some monster might suddenly jump out from a dark corner and bite you?"
Su Rui's words sent a chill down Ifrit. She glanced around warily and abandoned the idea. "Then let's go back to Siesta Street and play games later."
"That's more like it. Let's go, find a coffee shop, and then we can play games."
As Su Rui spoke, she reached out and gently pushed Ifrit's back. "Let's go, it's still early. The sooner we get back, the sooner we can play games."
"I understand, let's go." Ifrit nodded, then added with some concern, "Won't sitting here playing games affect the store's business?"
"Of course not, they probably hope I'll sit in the shop and attract customers."
Su Rui was already somewhat aware of her charm; at the very least, she believed she could attract customers to a coffee shop to the point that the owner was willing to give her a free meal.
So Su Rui and Ifrit spent some more time walking back to the streets of Siesta, until their legs were sore.
"Let's do it here." Su Rui patted Ifrit on the shoulder and led her into the café.
Even in Siesta, a café on the edge of the city where Su Rui and Ifrit walked in, there were quite a few people inside, despite the city's high foot traffic.
By the way, Siesta is different from other cities in Terra. The current Siesta, relying on the fact that it has not experienced Catastrophe for a long time, is actually a city built on the ground, not Mobile City.
Su Rui and Ifrit entered the café. Without even scanning the area, Su Rui pulled Ifrit to a corner spot that she had found using her Scanning Vision.
"What do you want? If you're playing games, it's best not to order ice cream, otherwise it might melt when you're not looking."
"I'm not just some kid who only likes ice cream," Ifrit puffed out her chest proudly. "I'd like a lemon tea."
"Then I'll have a red bean milk tea, with extra sugar."
Su Rui and Ifrit each chose their drinks, then took out their phones and sat together in a corner to pass the time in the dark.
Around them, the guests glanced at the scene with subtle, almost imperceptible, eyes.
Volume 4, Chapter 235: Don't Harass That Beautiful Boy
As Su Rui and Ifrit became engrossed in the game, the café seemed to grow increasingly lively, but neither Su Rui Ifrit paid any attention.
After all, people who are addicted to games can't hear the voices of others.
Time passed slowly, and Su Rui and Ifrit ate lunch at a café, having small cakes and drinks as their meal.
The two were engrossed in the game until the afternoon. While Su Rui was playing, she suddenly felt someone tap her on the shoulder.
The Scanning Vision did not trigger any warnings, meaning it was likely someone we knew.
Su Rui didn't look up, casually glancing at the people in his Scanning Vision. But when he saw that it was Saria who had come, before he could react, Saria picked him up and placed him on her lap.
Su Rui didn't seem to care, glancing at Saria before continuing her game.
However, some of the onlookers were unhappy.
In their eyes, it was incredibly rude of Saria, who had barged in out of nowhere, to simply pick up the handsome young man who was playing a game and hold him in her arms.
If this handsome young man weren't busy playing video games right now, he would definitely tell her to get lost.
With this thought in mind, someone actually got up and came to Saria, looking at her with displeasure and rebuking her:
"What are you doing? Don't disturb someone while they're playing games, you rude guy."
Saria frowned, looked up at the woman who had come to provoke her, and was about to say something when Su Rui paused the game.
After all, the most convincing thing to say about this is to him, the person directly involved, and Saria is, after all, his host, so he can't let Saria suffer any injustice.
Su Rui looked up and smiled at the woman who had come to provoke Saria:
"Thank you for your kindness, but this is my... girlfriend. You know us, so don't worry."
"She's my fiancée." Saria's tone was tinged with pride as she corrected Su Rui, and she pulled Su Rui's waist tighter, pressing Su Rui's back against her skin.
"Yes, yes, she's my fiancée. I don't even remember us talking about this."
Su Rui was somewhat helpless, but although his tone sounded perfunctory, anyone could tell that Su Rui did not object to Saria's statement.
The woman who had provoked Saria gave a somewhat awkward smile.
"Alright, in that case, I won't bother you any longer. Have fun."
After saying that, she tightened her expression and left the coffee shop, her companion following her while suppressing a laugh.
Saria nuzzled Su Rui's cheek with satisfaction and whispered in his ear, "Thank you for speaking up for me."
"We're practically family, there's no need to be so polite. Besides, in this situation, how can you not speak up for us? I'm not that heartless."
While operating her game, Su Rui asked:
"By the way, weren't you supposed to be busy with experiments today?"
"Yes, it's going well. I finished my research early, so I came to see you."
"You used the scanning service? I don't remember giving you one."
"Just look for a lively spot in the city and you'll find me."
Saria smiled. Su Rui was too conspicuous; a few questions with a few people would suffice.
"Hmm." Su Rui nodded and casually said, "In that case, after Ifrit and I finish this part of the game, we can go to the beach together after the New Year."
"Okay." Saria naturally wouldn't object, but she was a little surprised. "I thought you were planning to play games all day."
"Ifrit and I spent a long time shopping this morning, and we're just resting now. Also, my phone is almost out of battery, and my abilities don't include charging devices."
Su Rui glanced at her phone's battery level, and after defeating the final boss with Ifrit, she stood up and stretched.
"Alright, Ifrit, let's go. Oh, and we should settle the bill."
Su Rui looked at the cashier at the bar, only to see her smile at her.
"No need, sir. Your meal here today is on us. If you're satisfied, please come back again."
"... That's fine, let's go. Saria, and Ifrit watched it. Put your phone away." Su Rui tapped Ifrit on the head, and the little girl, wincing in pain, finally stuffed her phone into her pocket.
After putting away her phone, Ifrit was taken to the beach by Su Rui and Saria. Before doing anything else, Saria took out her phone and sent Ifrit a money transfer red envelope:
"Ifrit, you did a great job. This is your reward. You've finished your work for today, go and relax."
"Yay!" Ifrit cheered and ran towards the water's edge.
Su Rui stood to the side, a mischievous smile on her lips, and gently nudged Saria with her shoulder:
"What's going on? Is there some shady deal between them and Ifrit?"
"I'm just asking her to look after you for a day."
As Saria watched Ifrit's cheerful figure disappear into the distance, a pleasant smile involuntarily crept onto her lips.
"Take care of me? Shouldn't I be the one taking care of Ifrit?"
Su Rui pouted and spread her hands towards Saria:
"Look, since Ifrit gets a red envelope, I should get one too, right?"
"Okay, how many do you want?"
Saria didn't seem to care about Su Rui's demand for a red envelope. She actually took out her phone, intending to transfer money to Su Rui, but Su Rui stopped her.
"Okay, first of all, I don't even have an account, and secondly, I don't need any red envelopes."
What gift would you like?
"I was just saying it offhand. I don't really need a gift, and I haven't thought of anything yet. How about we go get something to eat?"
Seeing Su Rui's confused expression, Saria couldn't help but smile.
"How about we think about the gift later? Let's go take a look over there."
As she spoke, Saria hugged Su Rui, her tail wrapped around Su Rui's calf, and they walked closely together onto the beach.
"Hiss~ It looks a bit dangerous at first glance, but it doesn't actually feel that bad."
Su Rui looked at Saria's tail wrapped around her Saria. The sharp spikes didn't pierce her skin; instead, they acted as a kind of protection, facing the outside of her calf without making Su Rui feel uncomfortable at all.
"Of course, Vouivre knows how to use his tail."
Saria said, turning to look at Su Rui: "What would you like to eat? Ice cream?"
"Then let's go for matcha flavor. It's time for a change."
Su Rui thought about it for a moment and temporarily put the idea of Vodka Ice Cream aside.
Volume 4, Chapter 236: This is a public place.
Did you have fun today?
Saria glanced at Ifrit, who was chatting with Su Rui, not far away.
"I'm fine, what's wrong?"
"Your clothes are covered in dust and water stains, and they seem to smell of leaves."
Saria lowered her head and gently sniffed Su Rui's neck, her tone soothing:
"What did you and Ifrit do?"
"I just went for a walk near the volcano in Siesta, but I did run into a clumsy young lady, who seemed to be the Siesta's daughter."
Su Rui displayed all the information about Ceylon to Saria, her tone somewhat subtle:
"Rhodes Island is really something else; wherever it goes, chaos follows."
"What's wrong? Is there some danger?" Saria frowned, starting to worry.
Su Rui shook her head. "It's nothing serious, just a small problem that can be easily solved, so you don't need to worry about it so much."
Su Rui's explanation did not reassure the meticulous and cautious Saria, who was still frowning as she pondered those matters.
To distract her, Su Rui reached out and pinched Saria's cheek, making her look at her:
"Okay, look at me, don't overthink it."
Su Rui put her ice cream aside and then lifted her coat towards Saria: "I guess this will get your attention?"
Saria was immediately drawn to Su Rui's actions, her gaze fixed on Su Rui.
"You chose this outfit for me because you don't want anyone to see it, right?"
Su Rui leaned closer to Saria, picked up her ice cream again, and ate it while leaning against Saria:
So, I'm only showing this to you.
"Mmm." Saria's tone couldn't help but carry a hint of joy as she hugged Su Rui even tighter beside her.
Then Saria saw Su Rui casually pick up a bottle of wine and pour it directly onto her coat.
Saria instinctively wanted to pull away, but after hesitating for a moment, she held Su Rui tightly and said helplessly:
"I'm not wearing a swimsuit."
"That's fine too, aren't all your things kept here with me?"
Su Rui didn't understand why Saria was nervous.
"I was just worried about getting the clothes dirty... I'm glad you like them."
Saria sighed, feeling the cold liquor trickling down her neck. Given Saria constitution, she didn't feel the cold, but she was somewhat exasperated. "And this is a public place."
"Of course I know, I'm wearing a swimsuit, and besides, your outfit is really waterproof."
Su Rui patted Saria's clothes; even at this moment, Saria's attire was still impeccable, with only a small portion of the wine splashing onto Saria neck.
Most of it flowed down the waterproof fabric over her clothes.
In the end, the entire bottle of wine was poured over Su Rui.
However, because of the moisture, the fabric clung to Su Rui's body, making her figure more prominent and her skin appear even more hydrated. Saria couldn't help but glance at her a few more times before covering Su Rui up so that others wouldn't be able to see.
If only this were Rhodes Island... then she would just pick Su Rui up and throw him onto the bed in the room, give him a good scolding, and tell him he shouldn't do anything too outrageous in public.
"Aren't you going to do something? This isn't like how you used to be when we were alone together."
"This is not a place for us to be alone."
"I thought you'd at least do something... um~"
