Before Su Rui could finish speaking, Saria silenced her with a kiss. However, even so, Saria and Su Rui could still communicate directly through telepathy.

'This is what you wanted, isn't it? You little rascal.' Saria thought viciously to herself, while tightening her grip on Su Rui, as if to satisfy her possessiveness.

"Weren't you just concerned about this being a public place?" Su Rui mocked Saria, only to be met with an even more forceful response from Saria.

'Hmph~'

On the beach, there were quite a few couples who gathered together for intimate moments under the evening glow, and Su Rui and Saria were among them.

However, most people only touch each other and kiss, after all, this is a public place.

However, Su Rui did find a nice spot in the Scanning Vision. It was quiet and had a good view. The courtyard, formed by the sea, would not be discovered by anyone. If she came at a different time, the sun would be shining brightly.

Su Rui showed the place directly to Saria, along with a map.

After seeing the route map, Saria was already quite impatient, immediately hugged Su Rui and tried to take him there, but Su Rui reached out and pressed down on her shoulder.

Although Su Rui was being held in Saria's arms and Saria's hand on her shoulder couldn't stop Saria, Saria stopped and waited for Su Rui to continue after sensing that Su Rui wanted to soothe her.

"Ifrit is still here, and you're really planning to go away for several hours? By the time we're done, Ifrit will probably have already called Rhodes Island to say we're missing, right?"

"Can't you just communicate with Ifrit directly using your phone?" Saria still thought she could convince Su Rui, only to be met with an annoyed glare from Su Rui.

"I already said it would be better to come tomorrow, the scenery will be even better. We can go back today too, don't be in such a hurry. We still have Ifrit with us, it's irresponsible of you to bring her like this."

At this point, Su Rui 'Saria inner turmoil gradually subsided. After taking a deep breath, she slowly nodded to Su Rui: "I understand, Su Rui. Thank you for your reminder earlier."

"Hmm." Su Rui shrugged, running her fingers along Saria's collar:

"Let's go see if Ifrit has had enough fun. If it's about time, we should head back too."

"Hmm." Saria nodded, then pulled Su Rui towards Ifrit, who was also a bit tired from playing and whose movements in the water with her friends were not as energetic as before.

"Ifrit, it's about time, we should head back."

"Okay~" Ifrit drawled in response, then quickly ran to Su Rui and Saria's side:

"Let's go?"

Su Rui reached out and touched Ifrit's forehead; it was warm. She couldn't tell if it was sweat or seawater warmed by her body heat while they were playing.

Ifrit nuzzled Su Rui's hand, like a puppy being petted.

"What do you want to eat tonight?" Su Rui asked Saria, somewhat bored.

"The Doctor said you can cook, could you cook something for me to try?"

"Okay, but let's make it clear first, it's only edible, so don't get your hopes up too high."

Volume 4, Chapter 237: Saria: I was careless.

Children don't feel tired when they're playing, but they'll feel sleepy once the enthusiasm for playing wears off.

Just like Ifrit now, she was already getting drowsy after walking with Su Rui and Saria on the streets at night for only a short while.

Without saying a word, Saria picked up Ifrit and placed her on one of her arms. Then, she weighed her in her arms and looked at Su Rui with a puzzled expression.

"What's wrong? I can walk by myself. You're looking at me strangely. What are you thinking about?"

Su Rui looked at Saria, who simply stared at her without saying a word.

"I was wondering, how come you weigh less Ifrit... even though you have a perfectly normal figure."

"Because of the difference in body density, although I appear to be Vouivre, I am actually just a few attachments that are not easy to fall off added to my human body."

As Su Rui spoke, he displayed the scan results of his body in Saria's field of vision, comparing them with the scan results of Saria's own body:

"Although my physical strength, that is, my ability to withstand damage, is far superior to that of other Terra, in terms of actual physical attributes, I am not as good as the original Vouivre. It's a bit like putting all my points into defense."

Although she didn't understand the numbers in the game, Saria could still understand the simplified way Su Rui had described it, and nodded.

"Want to come?"

"What? This is all so abrupt! Say it all out loud!" Su Rui looked at Saria with a puzzled expression, then complained somewhat impatiently.

"Speaking of which, I'm not afraid of death anyway, so why did the Upper System set the defense to be so high? Is there something wrong with it? Isn't this a waste of points? No, I need to have a serious talk with her about this."

A slight smile crept onto Saria's lips. As Su Rui began to confront the Upper System, Saria came to Su Rui's side, squatted down, and slipped her free arm under Su Rui's legs, letting Su Rui sit on her other arm.

Thus, Saria carried Ifrit and Su Rui on either side of her as they walked through the night streets of Siesta towards Rhodes Island.

Passersby couldn't help but cast envious glances at her.

Su Rui glanced at Saria, sat on her arm, and began to discuss things mentally with the Upper System:

"Mom? Are you there? Can we discuss the composition of my body?"

[no.]

"Why? I can easily replace my body if it breaks, so why have such high defense points?"

The Upper System ignored Su Rui, but simply marked a dialog box to tell Su Rui that it was listening.

"And think about it, what if I could die protecting my loved one in a battle at the very end of the simulation? Wouldn't that be amazing? Just thinking about it makes me so excited..."

[... It will hurt a lot, are you sure?]

"There's no need to worry, it's just a little pain, I can handle it."

Su Rui was very confident about this; he was willing to sacrifice his body, so why would he be afraid of this little bit of pain?

[You'll regret this, but I promised. Next time the simulation starts, your physical defense will be lowered, but your other armor types will be strengthened again.]

"That's good. The conversation is over. By the way, is there anything you'd like to say?"

I will always be watching over you.

"Sounds like a peeping tom. Okay, I'm logging off now, Old Deng~"

Su Rui's temper flared faster than flipping through a book, a thought that came to Saria's mind after reading the entire conversation.

When they returned to Rhodes Island, Ifrit was already asleep, leaning on Saria's shoulder. Saria gently placed the little girl on the bed, and then they heard a knock on the door.

Saria opened the door in confusion and was surprised to find the Doctor standing there.

Although the face beneath the hood cannot be seen, the Doctor's smiling voice can still be heard during the forest tour:

"You want Su Rui to cook tonight, right? Mind if I come over for dinner?"

"Of course I don't mind. Do you know how good Su Rui's cooking is?" Saria stepped aside to let the Doctor into the room, asking with some curiosity.

"In the past, the actual quality was average, but it was still quite tasty. Now... it's hard to say."

The Doctor shrugged. "But surely Su Rui wouldn't make us eat a lump of charcoal, would she?"

Saria nodded and chatted with the Doctor about their research at the dining table for a while.

"Speaking of which, didn't you ask Su Rui to help you coordinate the research data? It seems the experiment isn't progressing as quickly as we expected."

The Doctor's words startled Saria, and the Doctor, noticing Saria's expression, was also taken aback:

"Didn't Su Rui tell you? His ability is superhuman computing power; Scanning Vision is just one specific manifestation of that ability."

"...I remember, but I didn't expect it." Saria wanted to say that she just didn't want to cheat during the research, but how could there be any cheating in research? As long as the result is genuine and can be repeatedly verified, that's enough.

"I never expected Saria to be so careless. But now that you know, you can get rid of Su Rui."

"Hmm." Saria nodded, then looked towards the kitchen. "However, I want to spend a few days with Su Rui first, and then ask him for help."

"She's very gentle. Su Rui will be very happy." The Doctor nodded. Saria didn't answer, but turned her head to look in the direction of the kitchen, a blush creeping onto her cheeks.

Su Rui was in the kitchen, prepared a few dishes based on her memory, then leaned against the kitchen doorway and looked at Saria: "Dinner is ready, come and help."

Dinner featured a variety of dishes, including sulaco Syracuse meat sauce, ham and cheese pizza, Borscht, and of course, apple pie.

"Dishes from different countries, huh? By the way, are there any famous Columbia dishes?"

"I don't mean to be sarcastic, but what are some historically significant dishes in Columbia? Or anything even remotely famous?"

Su Rui glanced at the Doctor with some confusion, then looked at Saria.

"Sandwich, hot dog, or hamburger?" Saria couldn't decide either.

"Well, this discussion is indeed a bit difficult for Columbia. What about Ifrit? She's asleep right now. Should we wake her up and get her something to eat?"

Su Rui skipped the topic and looked towards the bedroom.

Saria shook her head. "Ifrit should be fast asleep by now, how about we make it up to her tomorrow?"

A sly glint flashed in Saria's eyes. If Su Rui was cooking, she couldn't just make Ifrit's portion; then Ifrit could have another meal.

Volume 4, Chapter 238: Bright Sunshine

Okay, but just remember to wake me up, I tend to oversleep easily.

Su Rui didn't mind such a small matter; it was just cooking, and she had the patience for it.

The Doctor looked at the dinner in front of him and a smile appeared on his lips. Different foods from three countries, it seemed that Su Rui already had at least four hosts.

After dinner, the Doctor greeted Su Rui: "Then I won't disturb you two young lovers any longer. Have a good time together."

"Goodbye, Doctor." Saria nodded, a hint of shyness in her eyes, and subconsciously glanced at Su Rui beside her.

Su Rui waved her hand dismissively, "Go on, go on. If you know, don't say it out loud."

The Doctor smiled, turned and left the room, gently closing the door behind him.

After the Doctor left, Saria came to Su Rui's side, placed her hand on his shoulder, lowered her head, and whispered in Su Rui's ear:

"Could you lock the door?"

"Of course." Su Rui nodded, then locked the electronic door to the dormitory.

Hearing the click of the electronic door locking, Saria smiled and then scooped Su Rui up in her arms.

Now that there's no danger of being discovered, she can do whatever she wants.

"Wait a minute, what if Ifrit gets woken up?"

Su Rui instinctively tried to struggle. "How about we go somewhere else?"

"Don't worry, Ifrit has been sleeping soundly lately. Without the worries about those experiments, the little one is in very good spirits."

As Saria spoke, she reached out and hugged Su Rui, leading her towards another room. "Since you want to be safer, let's go to the study."

So, when Ifrit woke up the next morning, she found herself lying on a soft, large bed.

The dazed little girl slowly got up and went outside, where she found Saria leaning against the window of the balcony, looking somewhat listless. Saria was holding a steaming cup of coffee in her hand, but she didn't open her eyes.

"Did Saria not sleep well?" Ifrit instinctively covered her mouth, afraid that she might accidentally wake Saria.

However, with Saria's perception abilities, even without Su Rui's warning Scanning Vision, she still noticed Ifrit opening and closing the door.

Saria opened her eyes, and was taken aback when she saw Ifrit: "You're awake already, Ifrit? Su Rui's making breakfast, it'll be ready soon."

As she spoke, Saria picked up her coffee cup and slowly sipped it.

Ifrit nodded, sitting at the table with a hint of melancholy. "Okay~"

Today she's going out to set up her stall, Ifrit finds herself starting to miss the fun she had yesterday.

The feeling of not wanting to go to work has begun to affect this young girl who has not yet entered the workforce.

How could this be? I actually quite like barbecue. Ifrit was puzzled, so she turned her gaze to Saria:

"Saria, I feel like something's not right."

"Hmm, don't want to set up a stall? That's a normal feeling. I've been there before, and you'll get used to it."

Seeing Ifrit's expression, Saria could pretty much guess what she was thinking.

"I know."

Ifrit lay on the table, her cheek pressed against the slightly cool surface, still unable to shake off her melancholy.

"Um, could you come with me this morning?"

"Su Rui and I are planning to go to the beach, so we should be going the same way as you."

Saria's words offered Ifrit a small measure of comfort.

At this moment, Su Rui brought out breakfast: bread, milk, and apple pie—a very simple breakfast. Su Rui didn't put too much sugar in the apple pie, since the Sankta's tastes were different from other Terra.

The sweet apple pie at least cheered Ifrit up a bit, but she still felt somewhat lost as she followed Su Rui and Saria to the beach.
