Ark Simulator, Am I Not Without a Physical Form? Chapter 156
Theresa, somewhat carried away with her words, sat down across from Su Rui and smoothed her hair and the beads of sweat glistening on her forehead.
"I won't let you go~"
"Hmm." Su Rui glanced at Theresa's skin, which was now smoother and more moisturized from their exercise, and responded absentmindedly. His attention had been drawn to something else, and he didn't really want to argue with Theresa.
While Su Rui and Theresa were playing games together, Wis'adel returned to his room, knowing he should be sleeping, but he couldn't fall asleep.
Then she remembered the gift Su Rui had brought back and placed on the table.
With great effort, Wis'adel carried the player and a large pile of cassette tapes into his bedroom, instinctively shielding the tapes from falling to the floor with his chest.
The cassette tape bounced against her chest once, then gently fell onto the bedside table.
Wis'adel breathed a sigh of relief, then picked up the cassette tape that had just fallen to the ground, checked it, and put it into the tape player.
I'll choose this cassette tape. I'll also check if the gift Su Rui gave me is damaged.
Wis'adel turned on the tape recorder, then lay on his side on the bed, fiddling with his small knife.
As he listened to Su Rui's voice coming from the tape recorder, Wis'adel's initial indifference quickly turned into attentive listening.
Although she was barely literate, the stories Su Rui told were so captivating that even those who didn't know how to read could appreciate their charm, and Wis'adel became quite engrossed in them for a time.
Even when drowsiness washed over him, Wis'adel didn't want to sleep. Instead, he closed his eyes, wanting to rest properly while he was relaxing.
But at times like this, many people fall asleep without realizing it, and Wis'adel was no exception; she quickly drifted off to sleep without even noticing.
When I woke up again, the sun was shining brightly outside.
What time is it? Wis'adel instinctively jolted awake and checked the clock, only to find it was already noon.
She glanced at her personal terminal; there were no messages, nor the simple drawing Su Rui had given her.
Yes, although Wis'adel is illiterate, she has a personal terminal and roughly knows how to use it.
However, because of this, Wis'adel is unable to read information normally, while Su Rui has her own method.
That would be to turn the message sent to Wis'adel into a series of simple line drawings, so that Wis'adel could understand what Su Rui meant.
However, even by noon, Wis'adel had not received any news. Considering that Su Rui had said the mission would not begin until the evening, Wis'adel couldn't help but relax a little. Since Su Rui said the mission would not begin until the evening, it meant that the operations meeting would not start until the afternoon.
When Wis'adel woke up, Su Rui and Theresa had just woken up as well. The bright midday sun shone through the thick smoke and fog Theresa Kazdel caused by the war, shining into Su Rui's bedroom and making it impossible for Su Rui to fall back asleep after lingering in bed for a while.
"I only slept for an hour or two."
Su Rui grumbled unhappily, reached out and snuggled into Theresa's arms, burying her face between the soft mounds of her breasts. In the darkness of the cramped space, Su Rui tried to fall asleep again.
Then, Su Rui noticed that Theresa's breathing was becoming increasingly uneven, and it was clear that Theresa had woken up.
Slender, warm fingers stroked her forehead and hair, and no matter how tired she was, Su Rui couldn't fall asleep for various reasons.
"I really wanted to sleep a little longer."
Su Rui looked up at Theresa was deliberately messing with his hair and cheeks at this moment, with annoyance. "Believe it or not, I'll bite you?"
Theresa didn't answer Su Rui, but instead smiled and changed the subject, "Su Rui, can you see what's happening on the Banshee's side? Have Lamalain and the others set off yet?"
However, Su Rui, who was sleep-deprived and woken up, was not in a good mood. Seeing Theresa's smiling face as if she was being comforted, Su Rui was even more furious. Since her current position was perfect, Su Rui opened her mouth, revealing her sharp canine teeth, and took a bite out of the steamed bun.
"Hiss~ Su Rui?" Theresa gasped, looking at Su Rui with a wronged expression.
Su Rui, however, glared at Theresa with dissatisfaction, rubbed her teeth with her steamed bun, and only after seeing Theresa's somewhat aggrieved expression did she finally relent.
"Don't disturb my sleep! Do you know how annoying it is to be disturbed when you're sleep-deprived?"
"But I didn't sleep well either, I'm sorry~"
Theresa's pitiful voice softened Su Rui's heart slightly, and she breathed a sigh of relief, "Alright, I didn't use too much force. I have some ointment here, shall I put some on for you?"
As she spoke, Su Rui took out the ointment she had stored in her System Space, but Theresa grabbed her wrist. "I don't want the ointment, Su Rui, think of something else?"
Prince of Kazdel: 333, do you want a fist?
"If you don't want the ointment, do you want my fist?"
Su Rui glared at Theresa with annoyance, took out some ointment from his System Space, and gently applied it to the teeth marks he had left on Theresa's body with his finger.
"Okay, I just bit you lightly. I didn't mean to hurt you."
As Su Rui finished wiping her face, she patted it gently and then stood up. "Okay, let's go take a shower and then go out. We have a mission tonight, and you'll have to come too. I'll prepare a pair of headphones for you, so remember to follow my instructions."
Su Rui spoke, ignoring Theresa's thoughts, she turned and walked into the bathroom in her slippers.
Theresa hesitated for a moment before following Su Rui into the bathroom. They'd already played together, it was just a shower, what was there to be shy about?
Gently closing the frosted glass bathroom door, Theresa came up behind Su Rui and placed her hand on Su Rui's shoulder:
"And what about the Banshee? When will they arrive?"
"Are you worried about them? I didn't say there's no problem." Su Rui turned her head and glanced at Theresa through the shower spray and white steam, then turned back to continue washing.
"The Banshee are led by Lamalain, their Banshee. What problems could they possibly encounter? I've seen them walking the safest path I've chosen—a barren, worthless land that even the Sarkaz wouldn't consider, let alone have any inhabitants."
Su Rui glanced sideways at Theresa, who was pressing against her from behind. "Then I'll have to ask you to scrub my back for me. I'll help you later too... By the way, the Banshee will probably take a few days to arrive."
"I remember the Banshee have special spells for traveling, so why do they still need several days?"
Theresa hugged Su Rui with some confusion, pressing her cheek against his under the shower water.
"That's because when I left, I gave Lamalain a few cassette tapes containing stories and ancient songs that I recorded. In short, the Banshee are now like an adult leading a group of children, roaming freely as they head towards the Babel."
Even with her knowledge of Banshee, Theresa couldn't help but show a somewhat subtle expression at this moment.
"It's just like a kindergarten tour group, isn't it?" Su Rui washed off the sweat and dust, then pulled away from Theresa's embrace and urged:
"Alright, stop thinking so much in the bathroom. We have a mission tonight. Remember, you're with me, don't even think about sneaking away."
"I wasn't even worried that you Su Rui, would run away."
Theresa smiled and quickly finished washing up. When she came outside, she saw Su Rui still lying lazily on the bed, showing no intention of moving.
Su Rui noticed Theresa's gaze and waved in response, "There's still some time before evening, don't be in such a hurry."
"It was Su Rui who urged me just now."
Theresa sat down beside her, and Su Rui took out a pair of earphones from her System Space and handed them to her.
"I just want to wash up quickly, it's sticky and uncomfortable. Also, here are your headphones, remember to wear them tonight, I need to use them to communicate with you. Oh, and this too, Tactical Visor, with these I can assist you in battle."
"Hmm." Theresa nodded, put the earphones Su Rui handed her into her ears, and put on the Tactical Visor.
"Not bad, I can still hear the sounds around me."
"Of course, if headphones used for combat can't prevent you from hearing the sounds around you, then this set of headphones is seriously inadequate."
As Su Rui spoke, he activated the Tactical Visor that Theresa was wearing using the Scanning Vision function. Data frames began to appear on them, along with Su Rui's scan results of the surroundings and some warning signs.
Su Rui stood up and walked up to Theresa. Even though she didn't say a word, Theresa heard Su Rui's voice:
"This is how I will communicate with you. With this, even the ruler of the royal court will be no match for you."
"I was pretty strong too," Theresa said with a smile, but Su Rui wasn't buying it. "No matter how strong you are, there's a limit Su Rui, right? Even if you can win, the Lord of the Royal Court isn't easy to deal with. But with my help, we can easily beat them all to their knees."
A sly glint flashed in Theresa's eyes. "So, Su Rui, are your targets tonight those royal rulers?"
"He's one of them," Su Rui emphasized. "It's that Kitty Egg Roll guy. He's one of the more radical guys in the Military Council. The best way to get him to obey is to beat him into submission."
Theresa nodded, looking curiously into the world made of lines through the Tactical Visor, where all people and objects were clearly marked:
"Is this the world through your eyes, Su Rui? It's not quite what I imagined."
"No." Su Rui waved his hand. "Although I've been keeping the Scanning Vision on all the time, I can also decide what kind of scene I see. Ultimately, it's a program that can be adjusted."
As she spoke, Su Rui snapped her fingers, and the world that Theresa saw through her Tactical Visor transformed into a vibrant tapestry of colors. "This is thermal imaging, this is night vision, in short, the world I see is incredibly diverse."
Theresa nodded, her eyes shining as she looked directly at Su Rui.
"Why are you staring at me like that? Okay, let's go, let's eat something first, so that we don't let hunger affect our fighting ability."
Su Rui glanced at Theresa, changed the subject, and marked a position on the Tactical Visor to signal Theresa to follow.
"So convenient! Has the Doctor ever experienced this feeling?"
Theresa, with a mixture of curiosity and barely perceptible smugness, smiled and followed Su Rui, walking with him along the route marked on the Tactical Visor in a certain direction.
"Of course not. In fact, the Doctor and I have maintained this connection from the time I materialized until the time I disappeared."
As Su Rui said this, she further explained, "It's the kind of direct telepathy, which doesn't require these devices. I can communicate with the Doctor directly through our minds, just like we are now, and the Doctor can also speak to me directly with his thoughts. As for you, you still need to speak for me to hear you."
A hint of regret flashed in Theresa's eyes, but she didn't show it much. Instead, she nodded, leaned closer to Su Rui, and hugged him.
"How can I establish such a relationship with you? I want one too."
Prince Kazdel: 334, you're really bold.
"I don't know how to connect with other people's hearts. This is something that Old Deng, whom I mentioned before, did. I was just being led around by her."
Su Rui shrugged and turned to Theresa: "However, if you like this feeling, you can keep these devices with you. I'll prepare something more suitable for a relaxed state in public, like round-framed glasses."
Su Rui turned to look at Theresa and smiled at her, "How about that? I didn't say a word, but you could still hear my voice?"
Theresa smiled. "It feels great." And the feeling of being the only one who could hear Su Rui's voice, as if Su Rui belonged only to her, was what made Theresa happiest.
However, Theresa didn't say anything about it, and simply followed Su Rui silently down the corridor.
"Could you please bring me dinner?"
Upon arriving at Rhodes Island's restaurant, Su Rui marked the dinner she wanted on Theresa's Tactical Visor, then smiled at Theresa and turned to walk towards the table without making a sound.
"Don't even think about running away. At least you have to come with me. I'll help you get it."
Theresa reached out and grabbed Su Rui. Although the feeling of being alone with Su Rui satisfied her possessiveness, Theresa wouldn't let go of any opportunity to be close to Su Rui, so she pulled Su Rui into her arms and headed towards the food area.
Amidst the curious yet respectful gazes of the surrounding Sarkaz, Theresa led the reticent Su Rui to the food serving area.
She even pretended to ask Su Rui, "How about we choose this one? You should like it."
Su Rui glanced at her, then silently took out a pair of sunglasses from his System Space and put them on to avoid others seeing him roll his eyes.
Through Theresa's goggles and earpiece, Su Rui's disgruntled voice could be heard. "What are you doing? Are you awake? Or are you sleepwalking?"
Theresa simply smiled at Su Rui without saying anything, then picked up the dinner she had chosen with one hand, put her arm around Su Rui, and prepared to sit down at the table.
"Let me do it, you rascal."
Su Rui's helpless and dissatisfied voice came through the earpiece, followed by some prompts appearing in the eyepiece. Su Rui then snatched the plate from Theresa's hand.
After Su Rui and Theresa sat down at the table, Su Rui didn't take off her sunglasses. Instead, she pulled her own portion closer to her and then complained to Theresa through her earphones:
"Were you trying to attract attention on purpose? Well, you succeeded."
As she spoke, Su Rui activated the Scanning Vision of Theresa's eyepiece, revealing many of the Sarkaz whispering amongst Theresa:
"They actually think I'm your favored concubine? Please! I'm the one who makes the decisions! You're all my subordinates!"
Su Rui raised her voice in dissatisfaction, but Theresa quickly smiled and reassured her, "Yes, yes, Su Rui is the best."
"Of course." Su Rui nodded, but didn't make a scene in the restaurant. She just took off her sunglasses and glared at the Sarkaz who were whispering over there, then put her sunglasses back on and ate her dinner angrily.
After dinner, in the meeting room, Su Rui lay down on the desk and played games until all the team members arrived before getting up and turning to face them:
"Alright, tonight's plan might be a bit demanding. I need you to hold one spot and prevent any reinforcements from entering the building for the time being."
As Su Rui spoke, she took out some tactical goggles and headphones:
"These devices will alert you to the location of enemies and the most suitable way to counterattack."
"Aren't you going to show us a scan of the destination today?"
Wis'adel raised an eyebrow, looking at Su Rui with some confusion.
"Take a look at the device in your hand, try it on and see."
Su Rui didn't answer directly, but just glanced at Wis'adel and urged her to try it on quickly.
At the same time, Su Rui's name appeared on Theresa's goggles, along with Su Rui voice:
"I'll have a custom-made eyepiece made for you later, so don't be jealous of the others."
Upon hearing Su Rui's voice, Theresa was surprised, but couldn't help but smile.
After all, when she saw Su Rui giving the same equipment to others, Theresa couldn't help but feel jealous. After all, she was only human, and it was normal to feel unhappy when someone she cared about showed kindness to someone else.
And after Wis'adel and the others put on their Tactical Visor, Su Rui's voice rang out as the screen on the goggles lit up:
