Mefiya began watching the memories she had inherited. They belonged to a kind child from a noble family, and the girl's brief life of just over a decade flashed past in Mefiya's mind.
To Mefiya, who had existed since the Creation God first made the world, a human's fleeting memories couldn't affect her in the slightest.
After reading through them, Mefiya felt nothing.
She wasn't interested in those memories, so she simply put them out of her mind.
But after thinking it over, Mefiya decided that now she had returned to this world, the girl's memories might be of some help.
Her noble lineage could still be useful. Her father was only the lord of a moderately sized city, but that was better than nothing.
Black wings sprouted from her back, and she flew straight into the sky.
After her barely successful resurrection, her strength had yet to return to God Level, and she couldn't use her divine authority at all. For now, she would have to lie low to avoid being discovered by the Gods of the Heavenly Realm.
Even so, Mefiya believed she was strong enough to defeat any mortal creature. Her weakened state mattered only in comparison to the gods.
From the sky, Mefiya spotted a city in the distance. She made herself invisible and flew toward it.
According to the body's former owner's memories, that was the city her father ruled.
Mefiya intended to learn all she could about this era and prepare for her plans.
She existed to spread calamity. She needed no reason—or rather, her very existence was reason enough.
As long as she lived, as long as she remained unsealed, she would bring calamity to this world.
That was the meaning of her existence as the God of Calamity.
Mefiya didn't hate the
