Mefiya is an ancient deity born when the Creation God fashioned the world. Her nature and self-appointed purpose are to spread Calamity; throughout history, she has descended into the mortal world, caused disasters, been driven away by the gods of the Heavenly Realm, and eventually returned to repeat the cycle. She regards the Heavenly Realm gods as fated opposites rather than personal enemies. 51 55

Ten thousand years before the current events, Mefiya did not merely leave the world—she died. Her Divinity was split into a large and small portion, both of which continuously reincarnated. The human noble girl Mefiya was one such reincarnation; the apostle’s ritual awakened her dormant divine consciousness rather than placing an unrelated god into her body. 82

After awakening, Mefiya initially dismisses the life and memories of her human incarnation as insignificant. She uses the girl’s noble identity to seize control of her family’s city, then massacres several knight orders and creates Calamity Servants from selected survivors. 51

She spreads Calamity worship across Lumbart Kingdom under the name of the God of Hope, intending to obtain Faith Power without alerting the Heavenly Realm.
