On the battlefield, Antia stood tall with a spear bearing the Orwell Empire's flag raised high, becoming the source of everyone's courage. The soldiers fought desperately and finally defeated the enemy army, driving them all the way back to their homeland and defending the Orwell Empire's honor.
Antia's reputation within the Orwell Empire even surpassed that of the emperor.
Not long after the victory, Antia died.
The cause of death was the accumulation of too many injuries sustained during the war, which triggered her old ailments. To commemorate Antia, the emperor even left an empty place in his harem, declaring that although Miss Antia had died, she would still be granted the honor of a royal consort.
Antia Long Street ran through both the commoner district and the noble district. Fire Rose Bar stood at the end of Antia Long Street.
Both sides of the street were also the most prosperous part of the commoner district. The commoners living there had proposed building two more high walls along Antia Long Street to separate themselves from the true slums.
He quickened his pace. About half an hour later, Qin Chu appeared at the entrance of Fire Rose Bar.
The strong smell of alcohol drifted out from inside the bar. Before he even entered, Qin Chu heard Ekaterina's distinctive voice.
"Ha ha ha ha! Come on, drink..."
That brash voice made Qin Chu's face darken.
Poking his head inside, he saw that Ekaterina was clearly the center of attention in the bar.
At some point, her evening gown had been changed into combat armor. She looked valiant and heroic. Perhaps for convenience, her loose crimson hair had been tied into a single ponytail that hung behind her.
With absolutely no ladylike manners, she planted one foot on the drinking table and held a barrel at least as large as a five-liter bottle of mineral water from Earth in one hand.
Ekaterina probably did not even know how to write the word "lady."
The bold woman lifted the barrel with one hand and aimed it at her pink lips.
Gulp, gulp, gulp, gulp, gulp...
The clear, transparent, fiery liquid spilled from both corners of her mouth, soaking her clothes and adding another touch of seductiveness. Her head tilted high, revealing her long, fair neck. As she swallowed the liquor in huge gulps, her throat moved with an unexpectedly bewitching allure.
In one breath, half the strong liquor in the barrel was gone.
Meanwhile, the bearded man across from her, built like a black bear, had already collapsed limply onto the floor, his abdomen convulsing violently.
Casually wiping the liquid from her mouth and chin with her arm, she laughed. "Ha ha ha, you useless bastard! You were finished after half a barrel!"
Carrying the remaining half-barrel of liquor, Ekaterina looked around proudly. "Who's next...?"
Very quickly, an unconvinced burly man stepped forward, ready to defend men's honor.
If a whole group of grown men took turns and still could not outdrink one woman, they would truly lose all face.
The owner at the back watched the chaos in the bar with a broad smile. It was fine. No matter how wild things got, it was all money.
This lady was bold and generous.
And she had an excellent drinking temperament. When drunk, she simply fell asleep on the table without making a scene. The next morning, she would get up and honestly settle the bill. Whatever price he named was usually what she paid, never questioning it.
This lady was Fire Rose's big spender... ah, no, he meant a regular customer. Whenever she showed up, a single night's revenue could equal an ordinary month's earnings.
Of course, this lady was also dangerous.
She was truly beautiful, so it was inevitable that some men harbored improper thoughts. Once, a man tried to grope her while she was asleep on the table. In the end, she pulled out a two-handed greatsword from who knew where and cleaved him in half, scattering his organs everywhere.
After that, everyone knew that drinking with this lady was fine, but making a move was not.
Another full two hours passed. Aside from the owner, not a single man in the bar could still stand.
Ekaterina seemed to grow bored. After gulping down the remaining liquor in the barrel, she casually tossed it aside. Ignoring the filth all over the table, she rested her head on her arms and fell sound asleep.
Only after some more time had passed did Qin Chu finally emerge.
He walked over to Ekaterina and reached out, preparing to pat her shoulder.
"Little brother, be careful. This lady isn't someone to mess with. One wrong move and you'll lose your life," the bar owner kindly warned. He had mistaken Qin Chu for one of those men who picked up unconscious women outside bars.
Qin Chu thanked the owner but did not stop. His hand continued toward Ekaterina's shoulder.
Before Qin Chu's fingers could touch Ekaterina's body, the woman sleeping face-down on the table seemed to sense something. Her fist shot toward Qin Chu's face with a whoosh.
That punch carried enough force to smash an adult man's head like a watermelon.
But Qin Chu did not move at all. Just as the fist was about to strike his face, it stopped abruptly.
At some point, Ekaterina had raised her head. Her eyes were bleary with sleep. "Eh, this... urp..."
"Isn't this little brother Qin Chu? Why are you here? Are you here to drink with me?"
"You're still drinking?" Qin Chu's tone was gentle. "Can you still stand? I'll take you back..."
"Ha, who are you looking down on? I'm not drunk yet. How could I possibly be unable to stand..." Ekaterina shouted with a grin as she rose from her chair. But she had truly drunk far too much. The moment she stood up, her legs gave out and she was about to fall.
Qin Chu reacted quickly and hurriedly supported Ekaterina. The areas not covered by armor were soft and silky.
Shaking his head, Qin Chu left behind a one-thousand-Mana banknote on the table.
Supporting Ekaterina's two round, toned legs, he carried the woman on his back.
How should he put it? Ekaterina was not light. She was at least 1.8 meters tall, with an undeniably voluptuous figure, so her weight was certainly not low. Yet because of her years of intense training, she did not look bloated in the slightest. Her skin felt exceptionally firm against Qin Chu.
A few crimson strands of hair swayed before Qin Chu's eyes.
"Wuwuwu, I'm so thirsty. My throat is so dry..." Drunken Ekaterina twisted about on Qin Chu's back like a child.
Unfortunately, she was wearing a breastplate, and it pressed painfully against Qin Chu's back.
Her hands wandered casually over Qin Chu's chest, quickly finding a glass bottle tucked into his shirt pocket, filled with pink liquid.
How could drunken Ekaterina have the strength to distinguish what it was? She bit down on the mouth of the Love That Topples Cities bottle and tilted her head back.
Gulp, gulp, gulp...
She directly swallowed all the liquid in the bottle.
She even smacked her lips.
"Mmm, kind of sweet!"

Chapter 52: Qin Chu or Jello?
(Please keep reading.)
Looking at the empty bottle that had rolled off to the side, Qin Chu was dumbfounded.
Was Ekaterina really that disciplined?
Qin Chu was already looking forward to it. He wondered what effect this Love That Topples Cities would bring.
A cluster of flames rose from the ground and melted the glass bottle. Qin Chu did not want to leave behind any clues that Rosweisse could trace back to him.
Perhaps she really was too drunk. After drinking all of the Love That Topples Cities, Ekaterina simply lay quietly on Qin Chu's back without moving. Only her faint, steady breathing could be heard, as if she had fallen asleep.
Only Saya floated above Qin Chu's head, her face covered in an eerie smile as she stared at Ekaterina's open eyes.
At her peak, Saya had been extraordinarily powerful. Among all monsters, the Eternal Monarch Nag was nominally the Demon King, but if they truly fought, Saya would not fear him in the slightest.
Even if all ten members of the Hero's Party besides Qin Chu joined forces, they would absolutely not be Saya's match.
But opportunities to experiment on a Valkyrie of Ekaterina's level were truly rare.
The effects of the genuine Love That Topples Cities could not satisfy Saya. She did not have much time left.
She could not wait to see what kind of effects the Enhanced Love That Topples Cities, improved and further refined by her, would produce.
Witches loved all kinds of research and experiments, whether in magic or potions.
Ekaterina was not asleep.
She was still awake.
Maybe she really had drunk too much.
Her head felt muddled and painful. Especially after drinking the sweet beverage she had found on Qin Chu, the sensation grew even stronger.
Her brain felt exceptionally heavy.
Every movement gave Ekaterina the terrifying feeling that she was about to fall, while the world spun before her eyes.
She should have felt miserable, but... for some reason, Ekaterina did not dislike this sensation. She even felt as though she were floating among clouds, swaying in the wind.
Her alcohol tolerance seemed to have dropped a little.
Before, a few barrels of liquor like this had been nothing to her.
Her body began to grow scorching hot, as if she had a fever. The strange burning sensation made Ekaterina feel a little irritated.
Even stranger, Ekaterina felt sad. She was sad enough to cry, as though a piece of her soul were missing. She did not understand what was happening to her or why she was experiencing such a bizarre feeling.
From the corner of her eye, she glanced at the man carrying her. His broad back and tall frame seemed to overlap with a figure deep within her heart.
Her arms tightly embraced the man's chest, her fingers rubbing against it. The man's body was like a block of ice, bringing waves of coolness that perfectly tempered the scorching heat tormenting her body.
Her arms tightened around him.
She did not want to part from this man. She wanted to stay together forever, forever... forever...
Ekaterina's face was filled with a happy smile. She was happy now, very happy... or at least, she should have been. But... it was not enough.
Ekaterina could feel a huge void deep within her consciousness, within her soul, leaving her incomparably empty. She desperately needed someone to fill that emptiness.
Qin Chu paid no attention to Ekaterina's movements behind him. After all, she was already drunk to this extent, so nothing she did would be strange.
About an hour later, Qin Chu appeared once more near the small gate on the left side of the palace residence.
The guard faithfully carrying out his duty was still standing there, waiting for Qin Chu's return.
When he saw Qin Chu and Ekaterina, the guard visibly breathed a sigh of relief... They had finally returned. In a few more minutes, it would be time for the shift change.
If word got out that he had privately allowed Qin Chu to leave the palace residence, he would be in serious trouble. For those one thousand Mana, he had taken a considerable risk.
The guard said nothing. He merely stepped aside from the small gate, signaling Qin Chu to hurry back inside.
The guards outside the bedroom had temporarily left to hand over their duties.
Taking advantage of that time, Qin Chu hurried into the room and tossed the drunken Ekaterina onto the bed.
Looking at the sexy woman on the bed, how should he put it? When sober, Ekaterina was a valiant female warrior, with a personality even more manly than most men.
But after getting drunk, she somehow gained a little more feminine charm.
Although she did not possess Rosweisse's delicate, gentle beauty, Ekaterina was undeniably very pretty if one looked only at her face. Combined with her fiery figure, she was every man's ideal beauty. As long as she did not open her mouth, she was a standard great beauty. Unfortunately, her personality made people keep their distance.
Lying on the bed like this, with her body twisting like a water snake, her rosy cheeks and a pair of silky, alluring eyes, even Qin Chu could not help feeling a little stirred.
Of course, that stirring was purely the urge a man felt toward a woman, without the slightest trace of emotion mixed in.
He adjusted his expression into one of helpless confusion and walked toward the door.
Behind him, Ekaterina heard the footsteps from the bed. Watching his back grow farther and farther away, the emptiness deep within her heart became increasingly intense and unbearable.
The pain of being hollowed out nearly made her cry.
Creak...
Qin Chu pulled open the door.
Six guards stood outside.
"Ah, is Lord Nicholas on duty today?" Qin Chu forced out a smile and greeted him.
Nicholas still carried himself with the standard bearing of the Royal Guard. His dark skin seemed a little fairer beneath the moonlight, while his dark green eyes looked at Qin Chu in surprise. "Hero, you have already trained hard all afternoon. Why not rest early? If there is anything you need done, you can leave it to us..."
"Oh, no, no, Lord Nicholas, you misunderstand."
Qin Chu shook his head. "You know Miss Ekaterina likes drinking. She is drunk, and she has taken over my room and my bed. I think I need to find another place to sleep... The smell of alcohol in the room is truly terrible."
Nicholas immediately understood.
They had long heard of Miss Ekaterina's reputation for loving alcohol as much as life itself.
He had simply not expected that on the very day she moved in, she would immediately drunkenly take over the Hero's room... If this woman were not so overwhelmingly powerful, she truly would not be qualified to become the Hero's companion.
Nicholas gave Qin Chu a sympathetic look.
"I hope you can find a room that makes you comfortable, Hero. I think Miss Angelica's room would be quite nice..."
As he spoke, Nicholas winked at Qin Chu.
Any man understood what that look meant. The nearby guards all wore suggestive smiles.
Even Qin Chu could not help the curve that rose at the corner of his mouth.
