Okkotsu's Request

"Knock, knock—"

The knock at the door made Panda's hand twitch, and the Star Platinum he was controlling was immediately frozen by Xia Jie's The World.

Then, a massive steamroller fell from the sky and smashed down onto Jotaro Kujo, wiping out the last sliver of his health bar.

"Hey! Jie! That was a sneak attack!" Panda shouted indignantly.

"Esports is all about seizing every opportunity to win, then winning... How does that count as a sneak attack?"

As Xia Jie muttered, he walked over to the phone streaming their game. The comments scrolling across it were filled with strange phrases like "no martial virtue" and "DIO-sama's style." Xia Jie said he had no idea what they were talking about, apologized to them, and hurriedly ended the stream.

Xia Jie took off the Ultraman Tiga mask on his face and set it aside before going to answer the door with little enthusiasm.

With Cursed Spirits becoming more active, both he and Panda had to take on missions from time to time, so they had not streamed in a long while. They had finally gotten an opportunity after returning from exorcising the Cursed Child, only to be interrupted again. It left Xia Jie a little irritated.

Coming to see me this late at night? Could there be another mission?

Frowning, Xia Jie opened the door and saw Gojo Satoru raising a hand in greeting. Okkotsu stood beside him, looking utterly at a loss.

"Yo! Xia Jie! Sorry for disturbing you so late at night!" Gojo Satoru said with a smile.

"Gojo-sensei? Okkotsu?"

Xia Jie looked at them in surprise, then opened the door wider to let them in. When Panda saw Gojo Satoru and Okkotsu, an unnatural expression appeared on his face.

"Gojo-sensei, Okkotsu!" Panda greeted them awkwardly.

That Xia Jie! He didn't give me any warning before letting Gojo-sensei and Okkotsu in!

"Panda, why are you here too?" Okkotsu asked in surprise.

Panda pointed at DIO, who was striking poses on the screen, and explained awkwardly, "Xia Jie bought a lot of the newest games, so I often come over to play with him!"

"It's huge!" Okkotsu exclaimed as he stared at the sixty-five-inch television on the wall. "This must have cost a lot, right?"

"It wasn't that expensive," Xia Jie replied casually.

Panda silently cursed him for being a filthy rich bastard. Seeing that Okkotsu and Gojo Satoru seemed to have business with Xia Jie, he took the initiative and said, "We've played enough for today, so I'll head back first!"

After seeing Panda off, Xia Jie and the others sat down again.

"Gojo-sensei, Okkotsu, did you come to see me about something?" Xia Jie asked directly as he looked at them.

Okkotsu looked up at Gojo Satoru, who was studying the decorations in Xia Jie's room with great interest.

Like the other students' rooms, Xia Jie's was a standard Jujutsu High dormitory: one bedroom, one living room, and one bathroom.

Unlike the other students' rooms, though, Xia Jie's was crammed full of things.

There were bookshelves filled with books, display cases packed with figurines, a huge monitor and game consoles, as well as fill lights and cameras... Even Gojo Satoru was curious. What exactly did this student of his usually do in his dorm?

"Gojo-sensei..." Okkotsu called softly.

Gojo Satoru snapped back to his senses and smiled at Xia Jie. "Sorry, Xia Jie! It's my first time here, so I got a little curious!"

"It's fine," Xia Jie said casually. "So, why did Gojo-sensei and Okkotsu come to see me?"

"It would be better for Okkotsu to explain this himself!" Gojo Satoru said, patting Okkotsu on the shoulder.

After hesitating for a moment, Okkotsu said to Xia Jie, "Xia Jie, you should know that I once cursed a girl."

"Rika Orimoto?" Xia Jie's heart stirred. "Panda and the others told me about her. Didn't you lift Rika's curse and let her pass on?"

"That's true!" Okkotsu looked somewhat wistful as he gripped the ring around his neck. "But when Rika left, she gave me this ring! I often feel as though I can use it to summon Rika again!"

"But every time I try, there's always one crucial piece missing, preventing Rika from appearing in the real world!"

"So I went to Gojo-sensei, and Gojo-sensei brought me to you. When it comes to Imaginary Cursed Spirits, you are unquestionably the expert!"

"That's the situation!" Gojo Satoru cut in. "Rika's Cursed Technique has already been engraved into Okkotsu's body, but there is still one absolutely crucial step before he can summon Rika into the real world! I can't help him with that step, but if it's you, perhaps you can help Okkotsu!"

Materializing Rika Orimoto? Hadn't Okkotsu accomplished that himself? Xia Jie looked at Okkotsu in surprise, unsure what to say for a moment.

After thinking for quite a while, he finally said with a bitter smile, "Materializing the Queen of Curses, Rika Orimoto... Okkotsu, Gojo-sensei, aren't you overestimating me?"

"Because you have that ability!" Gojo Satoru said in a flippant tone, patting him on the shoulder. "Xia Jie, you can do it, right?"

"Even if you say that, I can't be sure without trying!" Xia Jie replied awkwardly.

"Then let's hurry and find somewhere to try it out!" Gojo Satoru clapped his hands and spoke to the students.

"Now?" Xia Jie asked, somewhat stunned.

Gojo Satoru pulled open the door and said to Okkotsu and Xia Jie, "The sooner, the better! Since we all happen to have time now, let's find a place and experiment!"

At an abandoned school, three figures suddenly appeared on the desolate playground.

Xia Jie looked excitedly at Gojo Satoru beside him. He knew Gojo Satoru could use teleportation, but actually teleporting here with him felt completely different.

He was already considering designing a Cursed Spirit that could teleport in his next book.

"This is..." Okkotsu asked.

"An abandoned school. There aren't many people nearby," Gojo Satoru answered. "If we really summon Rika, we won't have to worry about anyone noticing. Still, it would be safer to put up a Curtain!"

As he spoke, Gojo Satoru raised his right hand and chanted, "From darkness, emerge. Darker than black. Purify that which is impure."

As Gojo Satoru recited the chant, a dense black curtain rapidly descended, enveloping the entire school.

"Okay!" Gojo Satoru made a V-sign at Xia Jie and Okkotsu.

Watching the Curtain descend, Xia Jie sighed. "Principal Yaga warned me just yesterday not to use my Cursed Technique recklessly! Gojo-sensei, isn't it a little inappropriate to drag me out here for an experiment now?"

"Yaga told you that...? Don't worry about it. Those Higher-Ups must be getting paranoid again!" Gojo Satoru looked slightly surprised, but quickly returned to normal. "Just do what you want! Don't forget, your teacher is on your side!"

"Alright!" Xia Jie felt a little more motivated. "Then let's give it a try. But let me make this clear first: Rika... is extraordinarily powerful, so I can't guarantee success! If it really works... Gojo-sensei, make sure you protect me!"
