Each time a stone was launched from the stone chamber at the end of the catapult, it produced a crisp, thunderous sound.

The soldiers on the archer positions were firing continuously, each with five or six quivers at their feet.

Arrows rained down on the city walls, and catapults hurled stones at the defenders like hailstones.

"Shoot! Shoot! Shoot that flag to pieces!"

Kevan, mounted on his horse, shouted loudly, his eyes bloodshot as he stared at the black White Wolf Banner atop the city wall. He had never hated the black and white color scheme as much as he did now.

Soon, under a dense rain of arrows, the flag was torn to shreds.

Under the cover of powerful firepower, Lannister soldiers had already stormed the city walls.

"Block them! Block them back!"

Beric Dondarrion was still directing the battle from the city walls; now was not the time to let the Lannister soldiers into the city.

We need to wait until there are more attackers, and then even more!

Just as he was giving instructions, he suddenly felt someone hit him on the back of the chest with a hammer.

"He's been hit by an arrow."

Beric Dondarrion thought to himself, but without hesitation, he continued to fight.

He saw two Lannister soldiers charging up the city wall just a dozen steps away, and he was about to lead his men to defend them.

Just then, a figure flashed past him.

"My lord! I killed them! My name is—"

Beric Dondarrion did not listen to what the man was saying.

However, judging from their accents, they should be from the North.

The North soldier lunged at the Westerlands soldier who hadn't yet regained his footing, shoving and pulling him down the city wall with both of them.

"-food!"

Beric Dondarrion doubted he had misheard, but he was more shocked than ever.

Jon's great truth can persuade them, intellectuals."

But the fact that even a mere North soldier could be so brave and willing to risk his life was truly beyond his expectations.

And then, even more soldiers like that appeared.

Even with enemy swords embedded in their bodies, they would use their weight to slow down the enemy's advance.

This caused the originally surging Lannister soldiers to be driven back directly.

At this moment, Beric Dondarrion was surprised to find that the soldiers who had fought so bravely against the Westerlands Army were all unusually old.

However, other young soldiers soon seemed to be inspired by them, and some began to follow suit.

Kevan, who was directing from below, could not see the view from the city walls. He roared and ordered more soldiers to be sent up to the walls.

The siege ladders almost covered the city walls, and there were more than a thousand soldiers climbing them!

"Attack! Attack!"

Kevan brandished his longsword, and to boost morale, he even came down to the city walls, into the range of arrows.

His personal guard knights stayed by his side at all times, ready to take the fall for him.

Amidst the shouts of battle and the spray of blood, King's Landing welcomed another morning.

The piled-up corpses almost completely submerged the corners of the city wall.

There were soldiers from the Westerlands, soldiers from the North, people from the Riverlands, and warriors from the Mountain Clans.

Armor, blood, mud, rubble, and arrows are mixed together to form an ugly, distorted abstract painting.

Tywin, watching intently from afar, saw the crimson banner fluttering in the wind.

Tywin silently cheered for Kevan in his heart, then recalled that day on the the Green Fork when Jon had spoken rudely to his deceased wife.

He was determined to make Jon pay the price, no matter what!

The shouts of battle from Lion Gate naturally reached the Red Keep.

Joffrey, who had just been retorted by Sansa, became agitated.

At that moment, a soldier on watchtower approached the Maegor's Holdfast with a beaming smile, "Your Majesty, Your Majesty the Queen Mother, the Lion Banner has been raised atop the Lion Gate!"

Upon hearing this news, Cersei's tense expression, which had been on her mind for several days, suddenly relaxed, and she let out a long sigh of relief.

She instinctively reached for the wine glass, but found her hand trembling uncontrollably.

"It's finally coming to an end," Cersei thought to herself.

"Hahaha, your bastard brother is doomed!" Joffrey laughed, pointing at Sansa.

"This time, I'm going to punish you properly."

Seeing Joffrey's state, Sansa trembled uncontrollably. She cried out, "Myrcella! Myrcella and the others are still in my brother's hands!"

Upon hearing Sansa's words, Cersei suddenly realized this.

She was blinded by victory just now. Cersei knows her father well; he probably won't compromise with Jon.

"What should I do? What should I do?" Cersei turned and looked around, wanting to find someone to talk to.

Pycelle too old; he's not even thinking straight anymore.

Cersei believed that Varys was the only one she could discuss things with.

"Huh? Where did Varys go?" Just as Cersei was wondering, she suddenly felt a tremor beneath her feet.

Thump!

Thump!

Thump!

"What happened!" Cersei asked, somewhat alarmed.

At that moment, a soldier suddenly reported, "Your Majesty! The North! The North have invaded!"

Varys, the secret passage, the North!

In an instant, Cersei realized a terrible consequence.

Meanwhile, Maegor's Holdfast, Jon and a group of soldiers, carrying battering rams, relentlessly rammed the red-painted oak gates of Maegor's Holdfast.

"Hoo-ho! Crash! Hoo-ho! Crash! Hoo-ho! Crash!"

The heavy battering ram pounded against the gates of the Maegor's Holdfast, raising dust, chipping off the red paint, and cracking the wood inside.

Seeing this, Harrion was not to be outdone. He pushed aside the soldier in front of him and personally took the battering ram and rammed it against the gate.

"Hohoy!"

With a dull thud, the red oak door was flung open.

The group saw a large hall where dozens of guards stood in a hedgehog-like defensive formation, blocking Jon's path.

This is the first floor of the Maegor's Holdfast, the largest area, and it was known as the Queen Mother's Ballroom.

Harrion ordered his soldiers to drop the battering ram and prepare for battle, only to find Jon still holding it in his arms.

What happened next was something he would never forget.

Jon hoisted the battering ram, weighing several hundred pounds, onto his shoulder and charged straight at the Red Keep guards.

"Aaaaaah!!!"

When the Red Keep guards saw such a terrifying monster rushing towards them, their hastily assembled formation crumbled at the first touch.

Harrion was still in shock.

Jon was only up to his chin, but no one expected that his not-so-robust body could unleash such terrifying power.

Fortunately, he reacted in time, and the morale of his soldiers was instantly ignited by Jon's bravery.

They quickly stormed up to the second floor.

Jon and Harrion each led half of their soldiers in a charge.

The staircase of the Maegor's Holdfast was not narrow in order to reflect the majesty of the royal family.

Heavy armored soldiers, in particular, are practically unstoppable here.

Just as everyone was enjoying the killing, a voice came from above the soldiers' heads. "Jon Snow! Sansa Stark is in my hands. Make your men leave, or I'll kill her!"

"Sansa!" Harrion and Jon both heard it.

The voice came from above the spacious and elegant staircase; it was clearly a woman's voice.

"Jon Snow! Come up here alone, we—we need to talk!" Cersei's voice trembled noticeably.

"Jon." Harrion spoke up but was stopped by Jon. There were only about ten people upstairs at this time, and Jon was not afraid if a fight really broke out.

Even if a fight breaks out, it will be enough for Harrion to kill his way in.

Cersei is now gripped by extreme fear, and perhaps only by going there in person can he prevent her from taking any drastic actions.

This is why Jon insisted on personally attacking the Red Keep. Cersei was, after all, royalty, while he was the commander of the army. If she died in the chaos, the blame would fall squarely on Jon's head.

He traveled a great distance, trying to prevent Robb from becoming king and thus alienating himself, then staged a coup and went all in, and risked his life to hold off an attack of 100,000 men, all in an attempt to become a regional lord.

If one wants to become a feudal lord, then one cannot have too much controversy in terms of reputation.

He also promised the veterans and Mountain Clans food rewards and new habitats, things that could only be fulfilled once Jon became a lord, and a great lord at that.

Not just for himself, but also for those who follow him.

"Your Majesty, I have three hostages, and you only have one. If Sansa suffers any harm, I will demand double from your family. A Lannister Always Pays His Debts, don't you think?"

"Sansa is fine, come up here!" Cersei assured Jon again.

Jon sheathed his sword and walked up the stairs, soon reaching the corner where two people in white robes stood.

"Get out of here!"

"Hand over your sword!" one of them shouted.

"I said get out of the way!" Jon shouted sharply. He was certain there were only seven or eight guards upstairs, so he paid them even less attention.

Then Cersei's voice came again.

"Let him up." Led by two men in white robes, Jon entered the room, where Sansa burst into tears the moment she saw Jon.

In an instant, all the grievances seemed to roll down with the Tears.

"Joan—" Sansa choked up, unable to even pronounce her bastard brother's name properly.

During this time, she was forced to look at Eddard Stark's head.

Now that a living family member was standing in front of him, the feeling was indescribable. His blue eyes were fixed on Jon, unable to look away.

Cersei cleared her throat, forcing herself to calm down. She said to Jon, "Jon, my father has already conquered King's Landing. If you hand over Myrcella and Tommen, I will let you and Sansa leave."

"Kill him! I must kill him! Mother, we can't let him go!"

Joffrey standing nearby, started chattering, but then suddenly met Jon's grey eyes.

He felt his heart skip a beat. What a look that was! As if he were nothing more than a bug that could be crushed at any moment.

"Is this your condition?" Jon asked. "Then my condition is to hand over Joffrey, and you go to the High Septon and confess that all three of them are your illegitimate children."

"You're talking nonsense." Joffrey was about to retort when Jon glared at him again.

"Bastard, what are you saying? Do you really want to die with me?" Cersei was getting anxious; this young man had absolutely no intention of negotiating with her.

Jon casually found a chair and sat down by the window, then said, "You don't have to make a decision yet. It should be soon. Your father and the army of the Westerlands will all perish in the Wildfire."

"What did you say?" Cersei, as if she couldn't believe it, or as if she hadn't heard her clearly.

Time ticked by, and the atmosphere in the room grew increasingly oppressive. Soldiers on the watchtower had just seen Tywin breach the city walls, and they believed Jon was merely bluffing.

Suddenly, Cersei saw a green light reflected on Jon's face.

Green light shone in from the window, and everyone in the room, from the guards to Sansa, from Joffrey to Cersei herself, appeared faintly green.

Before she could react, a loud rumbling sound came from afar.

Everyone in the room seemed frozen in place.

He unconsciously looked out the window, recalling the Battle of the Blackwater not long ago.

At this moment, Jon spoke up, "I believe Lord Tywin has perished in the fire. Your Majesty, hand Joffrey to me. He shall confess his sins to the High Septon. As for your two remaining children, I will stake my father's honor on their lives."
