Racing Across the Sea of Blood
The sentinel trees in the Wolfswood were all bare, pale trunks, like withered bones, and the branches on the trunks would bar their claws and fangs when the wind blew.
Sentinel trees like these are everywhere, and among the trees, thousands of troops from the Iron Islands are stationed.
The Ironborn huddled together in their tents for warmth, enduring the chill from the ground beneath them while cursing the weather in the North.
"Once we've taken Winterfell, I'm going to have my fill of twenty women!"
I heard Eddard has two daughters.
"Hey, why don't you say he left behind a widow? Catelyn isn't that old."
"By the way, speaking of Robb's women, weren't they all queens? I doubt many people have ever experienced being a queen, Kingslayer the kingslayer."
The pirates whiled away their time with foul language, while Sawane Botley once again approached Victarion.
As he approached Victarion's tent, he heard a series of sounds that made him blush and his heart race, and he became restless.
"A woman's voice!" Shavin immediately realized that there was a woman hiding in Victarion's tent.
As the head instructor, he knowingly committed the crime, and as his deputy, he certainly had the right to question him. However, Shavin also knew he had to choose the right time; he had to wait until they were finished.
Otherwise, it's easy to cause conflict, and it won't achieve the desired effect of admonition.
Men, at this point, might get angry and embarrassed, so Savin could only wait.
"Damn it, this woman's moaning is too good!" Sha Wen cursed under his breath, then straightened his crotch. Listening to that almost bone-melting sound, he even had trouble keeping his crotch dry.
Savin also slept with some poor women who had been kidnapped. They would usually just cry at first, but later they would become numb like dead fish, completely uninteresting to him.
But this woman of Victarion was different. Although he didn't know what she looked like, just hearing her voice was enough to ignite a burning desire in anyone. No wonder even a warrior like Victarion couldn't resist keeping her by his side.
Whenever Savin tried to distract himself, the woman's cries would rekindle his senses, making him unable to resist imagining her expression and the scene of their lovemaking.
Finally, Savin had no choice but to cover his ears, which made him feel a little better.
After an unknown amount of time, the woman's seductive voice finally stopped. Sawane Botley took a few deep breaths, letting the cold air fill his lungs, not only to dissipate some of the lust that had been aroused, but also to clear his mind.
Just as he was about to cough a few times to announce his arrival, the damp, gurgling sound from inside the tent started again!
"Is this never going to end!" Sawane Botley was somewhat annoyed. War was about to break out, and Victarion was still indulging in such debauchery. How much strength would he have left when it came time to kill?
He felt he had to make Victarion stop immediately, even if it meant he would take his anger out on him!
Just as Sawane Botley stood up, he suddenly felt someone pat him on the shoulder.
The force wasn't great, but it startled him. He turned around and saw Euron.
"Lord Portley," Euron said with a smile, but Portley found it nothing to be pleased about.
"You're here to see Victarion too?"
"No, Victarion has already entrusted me with the responsibility of attacking Winterfell tomorrow, so I came to you to discuss it with you."
"You got it?!" Portley was puzzled, but hearing the lewd sounds coming from inside the tent, he had no choice but to believe it.
Victarion is now completely addicted to women's bodies.
He looked at Euron's face, half-hidden by the lantern and covered by an eye patch, and asked, "So, what are your thoughts?"
How are you going to fight?
Euron continued to smile as he approached Portley, but the latter instinctively stepped back.
"Tomorrow, hand over the army to your trusted subordinates and come with me to Winterfell. I can assure you, we will have the army in Winterfell by the morning after tomorrow."
"Oh? The day after tomorrow?!" Portley looked Euron up and down, thinking he was just exaggerating.
In less than two days, they didn't even have enough time to build siege equipment, yet they dared to boast about taking Winterfell.
"I assure you, if we fail to take Winterfell, I will never again offer any opinion on military strategy! All actions will be carried out solely on my brother's orders, and I will never act on my own."
Seeing Euron's words, Portley, though still somewhat skeptical, chose to accept Euron's opinion. So he got up to leave.
Halfway there, Sawane Botley turned around and asked, "Aren't you coming?"
Euron sighed apologetically and said, "Sigh, I originally intended to give Victarion a woman as compensation, but I didn't expect him to like her so much. I have to talk to him; after all, we're brothers."
Upon hearing Euron's words, Shavn nodded; to him, it sounded like he had spoken a few words of common sense.
Savin did not suspect anything and turned to disappear into the night.
Euron saw him leave, and his consciousness had already entered the tent.
Inside the tent, the mute maid was straddling Victarion's flat, firm belly, both of them with their eyes closed, enjoying each other's bodies.
Although Victarion was not young, apart from a few gray hairs at his temples, his body was still as well-proportioned and robust as that of a young man.
He's just lost some weight and become a bit weaker lately, but he's completely unaware of it.
At this moment, Victarion was climbing to ecstasy with his maidservant, his eyes closed, letting her do as she pleased to him.
Suddenly, the maid opened her eyes, but the look in her eyes was not that of a maid; her eyes were exactly like Euron's, and beside them, an oil lamp was burning with a bluish flame.
"Sit down! Sit down!"
"Good boy!"
"Stand up! Stand up!"
"Good boy!"
In the open space next to the kennel, Bran was training several six-month-old puppies.
Summer, who was almost two years old, sat on the side, looking at the puppies with a majestic air. With Summer, the Direwolf, intimidating them, and the treats in Bran's hands, the puppies were very obedient.
Since returning to Winterfell, he has fallen in love with animal taming, entirely due to the influence of Willas, and he has gradually accepted the fact that he is disabled.
Bran also discovered something else: his consciousness seemed to be able to enter Summer's body at night.
Summer's healthy, agile body sometimes even made him forget his disability. Next, Bran ----
I also want to train Raven.
Myrcella handed him treats specifically for training puppies. She had also come to accept the fact that she was no longer a princess but an illegitimate child.
Fortunately, her parents were still alive. Although the Stark weren't particularly close to her, they didn't deliberately humiliate her, and Sansa didn't hold a grudge against her because of Joffrey.
Jon also promised her that she could visit her father and mother when she came of age, which was Myrcella's greatest wish at the moment.
A little while later, Arya, who was a bit tired from practicing martial arts, also ran over and invited her to play together.
While playing with Arya, Myrcella was surprised to discover that she didn't actually like needlework that much, but rather, like Arya, she was very interested in Swordsmanship and even had a talent for it.
In the distance, Catelyn is inspecting Winterfell with Luwin.
They inspected the warehouses and checked the accounts, repaired the city walls, examined the soldiers' armor and weapons, and when they had free time, Catelyn would visit her grandchildren.
Seeing the children growing up happily brought Catelyn a lot of comfort, and she thought that Eddard would be very pleased to see all this.
The only thing that worries her right now is Robb, who is fighting the Wildlings near the Wall.
"Luwin, are we able to recruit some more soldiers and send them to Robb?" Catelyn asked.
"Madam, I'm afraid that won't work. Winterfell now has less than a thousand defenders, and only about five hundred guards on duty. If we continue to reduce our manpower, we'll struggle even to defend against some thieves." The old maester understood Catelyn's thoughts, so his tone was exceptionally gentle.
"Sigh, I know it's a bit selfish, but I'd feel much more at ease if Jon could fight alongside Robb like he did before."
"Haha, Madam, I think that unless it's the legendary Night King, there's no enemy in this world worth the brothers joining forces against."
"You're right, Scholar," Catelyn said happily.
Just then, a young man suddenly ran over in a hurry, and judging from his expression, he must have something urgent to attend to.
Catelyn recognized him as Rodrik's nephew, Kajo, who was young and inexperienced.
Rodrik, as Robb's second-in-command, went to fight the Wildlings Beyond the Wall, leaving this hothead behind in Winterfell.
"Madam, please punish them! Our veterans and new recruits have gotten into a conflict; they've started fighting."
"They've started fighting?" Catelyn frowned slightly. A fight among guards wasn't a big deal; it could be handled calmly.
"What are you doing coming to me if a fight breaks out? Lock up the ringleaders, and give the others a beating! Your uncle entrusted the guard to you, and this is how you treat them?"
Hearing Catelyn's stern rebuke, Kajo was filled with shame, and his sparse mustache seemed to tremble.
"I'm sorry, madam, I—"
"Alright!" Catelyn stopped them. "Master Luwin, let's go take a look."
"Yes, madam."
Luwin glanced at Kajo, signaling him to hurry up and follow, while also realizing that Winterfell's manpower could not be reduced any further under any circumstances.
The soldiers remaining in Winterfell are not only inexperienced and lack combat effectiveness, but also have poor discipline.
Previously, Luwin told Catelyn that if they reduced their tolerance further, they might not even be able to handle petty thieves. But now it seems that even without further splitting their forces, dealing with some petty thieves will likely be very difficult.
