Background / History
The Life Spirit Flame is introduced in the depths of the Shennong Mountain Range, where Old Man Shennong uses it to save Yao Xuan from a seventh-tier Giant-Scaled Venom Dragon Lizard. Yao Xuan recognizes its distinctive emerald color and identifies Shennong through his possession of the flame. At this point, Shennong is described as its sole wielder 10.
When discussing Yao Lao’s resurrection, Yao Xuan identifies the flame as an indispensable requirement for refining the Nine-Turn Life-Spirit Soul-Molding Pill. Yao Lao initially considers this requirement an obstacle despite learning that Shennong is Yao Xuan’s teacher; Yao Xuan then draws green light from the depths of his soul 61.
Yao Xuan later explicitly reveals a wisp of Life Spirit Flame prepared for him by Shennong. Using it with his Spirit Realm Grand Perfection soul and the Huan Yuan Heavenly Cauldron, he refines the peak Eighth-Rank Nine-Revolution Soul-Sculpting Life Pill intended to restore Yao Lao’s body. Its formation summons Nine-Colored Pill Lightning 168.
