Ignoring the Captain Britain Corps' displeasure, Daisy gestured for Captain America to take Mjolnir and Stark to take Excalibur.
Captain America being able to lift Mjolnir was hardly news. Pretty much everyone on Earth knew about it.
Stark and Excalibur, on the other hand, were an entirely new combination.
Excalibur was naturally embedded in a stone. Daisy had brought over both the stone and the sword as a package, and now the stone looked like nothing more than outer wrapping.
Even with battle imminent, Stark still circled Excalibur twice.
"Why not just give it to me directly? Do I have to pull it out of the stone?"
Daisy nodded. "Of course. It's a very important process. The divine sword is incomparably sharp, and it will grant you unparalleled power."
Stark deliberately glanced at the sour-faced Captain Britains. Even after ten days of recuperation, their team remained extremely weak. Of the thirty, only two Captain Britains could lift Excalibur, and that was with Lady Roma cheating and drastically lowering the selection standards.
Their expressions made it clear that they did not believe Stark could lift Excalibur.
Two of them were even muttering under their breaths about Yankees.
Stark silently cursed those British pigs a couple of times, then reached out and gripped the hilt. "I don't see anything particularly special here. It's just basic physics. If I lift it, can I rule Avalon?"
Lady Roma's face was nearly the color of pig liver. She was merely holding back her fury. A vein bulged on Daisy's forehead as well, and she had to look up at the sky, pretending there was something rare to see up there.
From her Omniscient Realm, Stark completely met Excalibur's requirements,
