Seeing her clothes in tatters, Daisy lost patience. They had been cheap clothes bought just to blend into the bar anyway, so she tore them to shreds in a few quick motions. The underwear was a little troublesome, though. She could not tear that, because she had not brought a spare.
Shower first, then wash the clothes! she decided.
The shower presented another problem. Hungary's economy was fairly good, but in order not to draw attention, the two of them had chosen a small hotel near the bar.
There was only one bathroom, and there were two of them.
They were both women, so theoretically there was no need to avoid each other. If Daisy wanted the bathroom to herself, she would have to knock Hill unconscious!
Before she could put that idea into action, Hill had already taken off her outer clothes and walked into the bathroom.
After their little clothing-change incident an hour ago, the two beauties once again met naked in the bathroom. This time, they were even more exposed.
Unlike changing clothes in the room earlier, the bathroom was very cramped. The atmosphere between the two women had been thrown slightly off by that lousy bar, and they had both drunk quite a bit. Breathing in each other's scents in such a confined space, their arms and thighs brushing from time to time, a vague and ambiguous feeling slowly began to grow.
Daisy was deeply frustrated. If she had the tools to commit the crime right now, she would definitely take Hill down. Unfortunately, she did not. She could only let her thoughts run wild to distract herself from her increasingly restless heart.
Talk about Madam Gao? Discuss that dead old woman while they were naked in front of each other? That would obviously be insane.
Talking about life, philosophy, or quantum physics would not be something normal people did either.
"Want me to wash your back?" Hill suddenly asked while Daisy was still thinking about what to say.
Daisy turned to look into her eyes. Hill's gaze was still fairly clear; she probably just meant to help normally. Yes! Completely normal!
She nodded and let Hill rub body wash over her back. The other woman's fingers seemed to carry some kind of magic. From her neck all the way down to her lower back, those fingers occasionally touched her skin, making Daisy's heartbeat threaten to speed up. She spent a long time thinking about vibrating strings and transverse waves before barely suppressing the fire in her heart.
"You have such a great figure, like a model. Not a single scar." Hill touched her lower back, where there were two shallow dimples above her hips, one on each side, and could not help sighing in admiration.
Daisy's waist was slender, her spine perfectly shaped, and her Eastern heritage gave her skin a firm, lustrous quality. If they were judging backs alone, Hill was far inferior to her.
"Have you really never been hurt in your life?" After applying the body wash to Daisy's back, Hill found it stranger the more she looked. She could not help touching her twice more. Even agents like her, specially trained as assistants and rarely sent to the front lines, had scars. Injuries from combat and accidents during training were unavoidable. Although S.H.I.E.L.D.'s technology surpassed the outside world's, a few marks could still be found.
Daisy was completely different. Her muscles felt strong, and her usual training was grueling, yet she did not have a single external injury.
Hill moved around to her front and examined her from head to toe, marveling inwardly.
Of course, Daisy would not say that the Terrigen Crystal had awakened her bloodline. Her recovery ability might not match Captain America's, but ordinary external injuries could heal on their own. Even if scars remained, she could use her Vibration powers to eliminate the dead cells.
"I was just born with a good constitution, I guess. Let me wash you too." Daisy felt a little uneasy under Hill's fixed gaze and hurriedly changed the subject.
There was a knife scar on Hill's back, just a little below her shoulder blade. Its color was faint, making it hard to notice.
There was also a gunshot scar beneath her left ribs. This one was much more obvious and much darker.
Daisy leaned against Hill's back, naturally creating some skin-to-skin contact. Hill's body stiffened uncontrollably for a moment.
"Let me give you a massage. It's an ancient Eastern technique, and it's very effective at removing scars." For some reason, she blurted that out.
Hill seemed to think of something and nodded lightly.
Daisy took down the showerhead with one hand and aimed it at the scar, while gathering a trace of Vibration powers at the fingertips of her other hand.
"Ah—!" As Hill wondered what kind of effect this "Eastern Massage Technique" would have, an intense numbness that reached the depths of her soul spread from the scar throughout her entire body.
There was clearly nothing unusual about her outward appearance, yet she felt as though she were shaking. Her blood, lymph, and nerves were all moving in an unimaginable way.
When the sensation reached its final stage, she seemed to hear something snap inside her like a broken string, and in an instant, her soul climbed to a place impossibly high.
Daisy stared in stunned disbelief. Heaven knew she had never realized Hill was so "sensitive." She had not done anything at all. To conceal her powers, she had made up some nonsense about an Eastern massage and used hot water to draw away part of Hill's attention. She had never expected it to end like this...
Realizing her embarrassing state, Hill hurriedly dried herself and ran out of the bathroom.
This was too melodramatic! Daisy was speechless. She quickly finished washing as well, wrapped herself in a towel, washed her underwear reeking of alcohol, and walked out of the bathroom to find Hill already lying sound asleep in bed.
She was tired too, and could not be bothered to care whether this woman was truly asleep or merely pretending. She lay down on her own bed and soon fell asleep.
The night passed peacefully, without any of those delightful little incidents. Everything remained calm until dawn.
When Daisy woke up, Hill was looking at her back in the mirror. The scar had completely vanished, leaving no sign that she had ever been injured.
"So? My massage technique's pretty good, right?" Daisy teased.
Hill had regained her composure, but she was still somewhat embarrassed. Having something so private seen was truly awkward. Her voice was a little low. "Maybe I've been under too much pressure lately. You understand, right? Please don't go around talking about what happened last night..."
Daisy did not want to expose her abilities either, so she immediately nodded in agreement.
The two changed back into their original clothes, checked out, and went to meet Black Widow. They had heard that Sharon Carter had already found a lead.
"What were you two doing yesterday? Did you run into trouble?" When they arrived at the meeting point, Black Widow was worried that something had happened to them and that she would be unable to explain it. She asked anxiously.
Daisy wanted to say it was a long story, and an extremely melodramatic one at that. But to protect each other's little secrets, she still made up a story about the two of them being fooled by false information and spending the entire night investigating it.
Black Widow's intuition told her that not a word Daisy said was true, but seeing Hill tacitly accept the story, she did not press further. Do not say what should not be said, and do not ask what should not be asked! She understood the iron rules of an agent well.
She secretly guessed that Nick Fury had probably assigned them another mission.
"Sharon has found a lead on Dr. Pym. You two should listen as well." Black Widow stopped dwelling on where they had gone last night and began explaining the mission.
The two hurriedly focused and listened carefully.
