Seeing that she was about to reach her limit of control, she hesitated no longer. It was as though she held an unimaginably massive celestial body in her palm. She shouted, "Move!" then swung her arm and hurled the plasma at Ego.
Plasma launched purely by hand was, by conventional standards, less effective than a battleship's main cannon. But energy did not lie. Accompanied by a nearly blinding flash of white light, the plasma pierced the dust cloud, violently clashed with the atmosphere covering Ego's surface, and struck the planet itself—roughly where Ego's forehead ought to have been.
"Get lost, you lower life-forms!" The earthshaking explosion made the entire planet tremble several times. Ego was furious. Scorching magma brewed beneath his crust, then erupted violently outward once the pressure had built to a certain point.
Countless streams of magma and fragments of crust were blasted into space by immense pressure. As a planet, Ego had no accuracy to speak of. More than a hundred Nova soldiers were like microorganisms in his eyes. He could not see them at all and could only sense them through their energy.
Over ten thousand volcanoes spewed scorching magma. From outside the planet, it looked like a magnificent sea of blazing red. Countless lethal threats lurked amid the fiery meteors.
