After Snorlax appeared, some people who recognized Lu Ze as the arena champion quietly committed Snorlax's information to memory.

Electivire, Crawdaunt, Sirfetch'd, and now Snorlax—each of them basically possessed Elite Four-level strength.

That meant that anyone wanting to defeat him and claim the arena would need at least four Elite Four-level Pokémon.
