Uzumaki Mito dispensed with pleasantries. She simply nodded and went straight to the point.

Uzumaki Lu Ming hesitated for a moment before speaking. "We still need to verify the exact number of deaths."
"Many of our clansmen weren't living in the capital's central district. They were scattered throughout the Land of Whirlpools."
"Others were serving in the border defense forces."
"But I doubt the number will be small."
Hearing that, Uzumaki Mito's temper flared, and she launched into a scolding. "I warned you long ago to pull our people and troops back! Why didn't you listen?"
Uzumaki Lu Ming was left speechless by her question and could only keep his head down.
He really had no idea how to respond just then.
