History
Third Shinobi World War
Ato's arrival during the Third Shinobi World War radically altered the planet's political and physical landscape. His attacks erased the Land of Hot Water, leaving a bottomless abyss, and annihilated the Stone Shinobi battlefield along with more than a thousand Stone Shinobi and the Land of Grass. 21
The remaining major villages subsequently withdrew from the conflict. In Konoha Year 46, the war ended after only one year. 21
Ato's Ultimatum and Shinobi Unity
Ato informed the Five Kage that he had been ordered to destroy the Ninja World, but offered a condition: if the world's fighters could defeat or draw with him in a Martial Arts Tournament, he would abandon the destruction plan. 35
In response, the Five Great Shinobi Villages formed an unprecedented alliance and established the Shinobi Allied Forces Department in Konoha. They pooled personnel, resources, Kekkei Genkai, secret techniques, and forbidden jutsu to prepare contestants for the tournament. 36 47
After the first tournament, Ato spared the planet but destroyed one city each in the Lands of Fire, Lightning, and Earth, then announced a second tournament six months later. 63
Reconstruction and Resurrection Program
Konoha was rebuilt after the tournament, with Wood Release used extensively in reconstruction. 67 By Ato's return, the village had modernized, housed shinobi from all five major villages, and replaced its Hokage Building with the Five Kage United Building. 99
Fearing another failure against Ato, the Five Kage approved Obito Uchiha's Infinite Resurrection Plan. Dead powerhouses—including Tobirama Senju, Sakumo Hatake, Dan Kato, and the Second Tsuchikage—were revived through Impure World Reincarnation to strengthen the Ninja World. 99 101
Divine Tree Crisis
The revived Divine Tree spread roots across the Ninja World, destroyed towns, consumed tens of thousands of lives, and absorbed natural energy from the land, oceans, and sky. 106
To sustain it, the Five Kage chose to capture Summoning Beasts first. Tens of thousands were fed to the Divine Tree, while the leadership debated using the inhabitants of smaller nations if further sacrifices became necessary. 108
The later maturation of the God Tree Fruit in the Pirate World was regarded as a relief by Minato, who believed its life-force requirements could otherwise have drained the Ninja World. 154
Contact with the Pirate World
Ato established a Space-Time Sealing Technique at the Valley of the End, creating a route between the Ninja World and the Pirate World. 113
Ninja World forces later entered the Pirate World through this connection. The Five Kage ordered their forces to eliminate pirates and collect life energy for the Divine Tree, beginning the first Ninja World–Pirate World war. 135
Society and Government
Five Great Shinobi Villages
The world is led militarily by the Five Great Shinobi Villages and their Kage. Before Ato's intervention, these villages fought one another during the Third Shinobi World War. 21
Following Ato's ultimatum, the villages became a united Shinobi Alliance, with Konoha serving as its central operating location. 36 101
Five Kage United Building
Konoha's rebuilt central skyscraper became the Five Kage United Building, where the leaders of the five villages conduct their joint affairs. 99
Smaller Nations
Smaller nations are politically vulnerable under the alliance's later Divine Tree policies. Danzō and Ōnoki advocated sacrificing their people to preserve the Five Great Nations, while Minato proposed a controlled Life Transfer Technique instead. 108
Power Systems
Chakra and Ninjutsu
Chakra is the foundation of Ninja World combat. It supports ninjutsu, physical enhancement, elemental techniques, barriers, sensory abilities, and transformations.
- Chakra can be extracted and cultivated to dramatically increase combat power. 28
- The world's combatants traditionally relied on ninja ranks such as genin, chunin, and jonin. 101
- After Ato's arrival, the old rank system was increasingly replaced by numerical power levels measured through Scouters. 101
- Ninjutsu techniques can be combined with Saiyan-style ki training and combat methods. 27 67
Sealing Jutsu
Sealing jutsu is one of the Ninja World's most strategically valuable systems.
- It can seal objects, chakra, malicious thoughts, energy, Tailed Beasts, and souls. 8
- Ato considers it superior to the Dragon Ball universe's Mafuba and a potential countermeasure against its energy-based powers. 8
- The Eight Trigrams Seal successfully imprisoned the immortal Five Elders inside Ace's body. 127
- Sealing formulas can be inscribed on chakra paper to create Sealing Scrolls. 44
Natural Energy
Natural energy exists throughout the planet's land, oceans, atmosphere, and storms. The Divine Tree absorbed it on a planetary scale after its revival. 106
Sage techniques and transformations draw upon this system, including Jiraiya's training at Mount Myōboku. 48
Technology
The Ninja World underwent rapid technological development after gaining access to Ato's imported technology.
- Ato ordered Android 18 to transmit basic Planet Vegeta technology to the Five Kage. 108
- Tuffle energy-engraving technology enabled rapid production of Capsule Scrolls rather than manual inscription. 44
- Dragon Ball universe technology triggered a technological boom after Ato returned from Planet Vegeta. 139
- The Ninja World established a Saiyan Battle Suit factory and began producing battle suits within days. 139
- Life Cell Fusion Devices and Life Cell Cloning Devices made the acquisition and replication of Ninja World abilities far easier for groups such as Akatsuki. 135

Trivia
- The Saiyan database originally considered the Ninja World so unremarkable that its disappearance was expected to attract no attention. 80
- The database's “highest combat power: 30” assessment became rapidly obsolete after Ato introduced chakra extraction, Scouters, imported technology, and numerical power-level training. 28 101
- Ato's arrival caused the planet's former enemies to share even their most guarded bloodlines, secret techniques, and forbidden jutsu. 47
