History
Ye Zhuo received the blueprints as a quest reward after inviting Kalifa to sail with him as his shipwright. He displayed them publicly at Water 7 to draw CP9's attention. Iceburg recognized them but called them fabricated and unbuildable; his reaction convinced the watching CP9 agents that they were genuine 8.
Ye Zhuo used the plans again to lure CP9 into attacking him at his hotel. After defeating the agents, he collected every page. He later asked Iceburg to build the ship shown in the blueprints, but Iceburg declined, citing the scale of the undertaking and the attention it would attract from the World Government 9 11.
In Alabasta, Robin identified a Poneglyph that recorded Pluton's whereabouts. Ye Zhuo showed the blueprints to Robin and King Cobra instead of pursuing the weapon, and proposed building two copies. The plans remained listed in his inventory later in the story 16 108.
Connection to Pluton
- The Alabasta Poneglyph records Pluton's location, while the Water 7 blueprints cover its construction and use 109.
- The original Pluton is a massive ship hidden beneath Wano Country; Ye Zhuo later uncovered and docked it at Demon King Island 109 111.
- Ye Zhuo used Pluton to blast a passage through the Red Line. The text does not say that this ship was built from his blueprints 111.
