Background / History

Spirit Medium Ghost School and the Yongling Fire

Yue Pan graduated from Spirit Medium Ghost School and shared Chang Wenyu's goal of destroying it, though their methods differed. While Chang Wenyu failed, Yue Pan succeeded in destroying the school capable of threatening the Door-After World. 75 83

Over a decade before the main events, Yue Pan was the sole survivor of the Yongling Mountain Villa No. 44 fire, which occurred during production of a horror film and killed or drove mad much of the crew. Investigations found no evidence tying him to the disaster; afterward, his film-investment career flourished, and acquaintances noted that he became unusually cheerful. 73
