"We've already occupied two colonies. Although they aren't connected yet, once the boss wakes up and obtains technology from other worlds, we should be able to link them together. Right, we also need a plan. Since we're no longer in the Infinite Reincarnation, we can't get the Main God's help." Tang Xing rubbed his chin and muttered to himself in the Empire State Building of the colony.
Ever since Tang Tian had been undergoing viral enhancement, Tang Xing had been thinking about how to reach the scale of the Iron Empire they had once established. Although they now possessed high-tech technologies such as biotechnology, energy weapons, space battleships, and magnetic levitation, developing everything fully was still far too slow. Thus, Tang Xing considered the worlds in his mind that they could plunder.
Through Tang Tian and Tang Xing's redesign, the Iron Empire incorporated steel-themed worlds such as Terminator, I, Robot, and The Matrix. Its main system was intended to be a fusion of the Red Queen, the Mechanical Emperor, Transcendence, VIKI, and Skynet. Due to limitations in technology and resources, they could only mass-produce powerful weapons such as biological weapons, clone armies, laser weapons, and electromagnetic weapons.
Tang Xing and Tang Tian planned to travel to other worlds and obtain their knowledge and resources. For example, the first mechanical movie world Tang Tian would visit after awakening would be I, Robot, which contained intelligent multifunctional civilian robots, Sonny, who possessed emotions, the supercomputer VIKI, and other such things.
Then there was the Terminator series, with Skynet, the super A.I.; multifunctional military robots ranging from T-1 battlefield robots to T-X humanoid robots; massive five-meter Reapers; offsite Reapers; and other powerful robots, as well as time machines, hydrogen-metal batteries, and ion weapons.
The Matrix had virtual reality technology, the Matrix, and octopus robots.
Men in Black had countless alien weapons, spaceships, a galaxy, supersonic aircraft, and small time machines. Elysium had artificial space stations, military robots, and med-bays. Naruto had Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu, tailed beasts, all kinds of ninjutsu, chakra, curse marks, the Sharingan, the Rinnegan, various bloodline limits, and numerous forbidden techniques. Inuyasha had the Shikon Jewel and the genes of all kinds of immortal demons.
Starship Troopers had faster-than-light spaceships, Q-bombs, and Arachnids.
Lucy had cPh4; Limitless had nzT-48; Chronicle had Superpower Crystals; and Predators, Back to the Future, The Time Machine, The Fifth Element, the game Left 4 Dead, Pacific Rim, Judge Dredd, The Mummy, A.I. Artificial Intelligence, The Thirteenth Floor, The War of the Worlds, Underworld, Blade, Transformers, and countless other films and games contained endless weapons and resources. All kinds of knowledge and useful genes were things Tang Tian could plunder.
"Sure enough, the Empire lacks everything right now. Tang Tian, when are you going to wake up? Hurry up and get up so we can plunder resources." Tang Xing had just ordered the Red Queen to download the plan for plundering other worlds from his mind when he spoke without the slightest concern for his image.
For the initial stage of construction, they needed ten million tons of steel, 5.5 million tons of oil, and more than five million tons each of copper, zinc, lead, aluminum, mercury, and other resources. Of course, if they had mechanical octopuses, they could obtain the necessary steel and various metals within days. Although the Planet of the Apes Colony now had tens of millions of people, they definitely could not mine as quickly as mechanical octopuses. Still, resource extraction in the colony would not be restricted.
All of Umbrella's scientists and technical personnel had now been moved to the colony, while their clones had been left behind in the real world. The end of World War II accelerated the pace of the Marvel Universe. The plot of The Wolverine had just begun, and the world was nearing 1945, when the war was about to end. When Tang Tian descended again, it would be during the Cold War, when X-Men: First Class began. The genes of those distinctive mutants were all within his grasp. If he wanted more powerful subordinates, he had to keep plundering.
Tang Tian followed a path of continuous scientific development, and his combined capabilities were extremely formidable. With the ability to travel through time and space, Tang Tian could wreak havoc without restraint, obtaining powerful enforcers and scientific technology from different worlds. After plundering vast amounts of advanced technology, he could sell it to the U.S. government during the Cold War, making Umbrella's influence even stronger and allowing further arrangements to be made.
Whenever Tang Xing thought of the various freaks in the future Marvel Universe, he was left speechless. Heroes like Sentry and Superman, villains like Thanos and Galactus—it was enough to leave him speechless. Moreover, if they wanted to grow stronger, they had to keep selling arms. Only then could they develop even better.
Meanwhile, the real world had advanced from December 1943 to 1945, a day that was equally significant. First, the U.S. president Roosevelt, who had been elected for four terms and helped the United States escape the economic crisis, was about to leave the political stage. It was certain that Truman, a representative figure of the future Cold War, would become the next president.
The U.S. War Department had begun implementing the Manhattan Project in June 1942. Its chief person in charge, Howard Stark, had used his own research to develop the atomic bomb ahead of Nazi Germany and dropped one on the island nation to hasten its collapse. Under the secret urging of Umbrella's representatives left behind by Tang Tian and the right-wing military, Roosevelt decided to use nuclear weapons against the island nation once again.
"Call President Roosevelt for me." At the New York City headquarters, the clone who was also Tang Tian's avatar gave the order. In truth, he was one of the pieces Tang Tian's main body had left behind after departing the real world, intended to strike certain countries and collect various metals. Over the past few years, from the successful end of World War II until now, they had collected more than fifty billion tons of various metal resources. Once the advanced technology was fully acquired, the Iron Empire Plan could begin.
Sure enough, the president's call was connected quickly. A relaxed voice came through the phone. "Mr. Donners, this is Roosevelt. We can agree to your request, but we need some of your technology."
Tang Tian's avatar fell silent briefly before speaking. "Then, Mr. President, what technology from my company do you need?" Tang Tian asked calmly, pretending to think it over.
"We need supersonic battleship technology and cross magnetic levitation technology," Roosevelt said bluntly. What he did not know was that Tang Tian had deliberately had his representatives provide that information. Furthermore, Roosevelt wanted Howard Stark to establish the Department of Homeland Resources and the Strategic Department. He needed a secure location from which to command them—the future sky battleship—so he needed Umbrella's classified technology.
"No problem. Besides that, we also need a large amount of metal resources. The price is negotiable," Tang Tian said casually after hearing Roosevelt agree.
"Very good, Mr. Donners. A pleasure working with you," Roosevelt said happily over the phone, as though he had finally taken advantage of the Umbrella Corporation. But Umbrella was not so easy to exploit. Tang Tian's principle when selling things was that most of what he sold others were watered-down versions, vastly inferior to the originals.
