Background

The Xue Household is one of the Xue, Fang, and Du aristocratic clans, three powerful families tied to the Jing imperial family and supported by numerous court retainers. It has deep connections to Merging Cavern and is implicated in the Myriad Life Sect’s activities. 16

The household’s influence extends beyond martial affairs. It controls weapon-forging rights in the Jing Dynasty and suppresses the Peng Household’s mechanical-art legacy as well as ordinary blacksmithing inheritances. 45

Nine years before the Qingzhou conflict, the Xue Household demanded Madam Peng’s gifted infant son as the price of aiding her husband’s family. Her husband later became the Xue Household lackey known as One-eyed Tiger, while the child was turned into one of the abused Dog Children. 23 28

Evil Armament Conspiracy

Thousand-Baby Sacrifice

The Xue Household financed an attempt to forge an Evil Armament capable of rivaling the Heavenly Profound Divine Weapons. The operation used a Demon Token associated with Bo as a forging material and required the blood sacrifice of approximately a thousand abducted children. 35 37

Drooping-Ear Monk, the abbot of the Thousand-Eyed Bodhisattva Temple, served as a Xue Household retainer and Myriad Life Sect guest elder. He oversaw the ritual while secretly intending to keep the resulting weapon for himself. 32 40

Qingzhou Suppression

Xue Shaokan and his adviser Yin Duanyue planned to destroy the Hidden Heroes Alliance by staging the execution of a false “Slender Golden Saber” and ambushing the righteous factions that came to intervene. If the trap failed, they intended to seize more children within Qingzhou City to complete the sacrifice. 39

After resistance disrupted the supply of victims, Xue Shaokan ordered the city government to restrict movement and collect remaining sacrifices within three days, treating Qingzhou’s poor residents as expendable. 46

Collapse of the Qingzhou Operation

Lu Li destroyed the outer Thousand-Eyed Bodhisattva Temple, killed Drooping-Ear Monk, and annihilated its eight hundred Buddhist Soldiers. 50 51

He then led the allied martial artists into Qingzhou’s inner-city temple, where Xue Shaokan was killed in a single palm strike and Yin Duanyue was killed after using a life-burning forbidden talisman. The temple’s stolen wealth and property records were uncovered and redirected toward the rescued children. 51
