Lu Ren was swept onto the Supreme Ancient Road and traveled through its deadly reaches, rescuing the Queen Mother of the West before reaching Hanging Mountain. There he rejected the Jade Emperor and Tathagata’s offer to join forces and set out with Huang Gong’s team to gather materials in the Cloud Sea.

• Lu Ren stayed outside as the Jade Emperor, Tathagata, and other cultivators entered the Supreme Ancient Road, but the road’s force soon swept him onto it and blocked his way back.
• Lu Ren fought Guiche birds in the strange mist, killed a Celestial Immortal-tier one, and learned from Ao Li that leaving the road meant never returning.
• Lu Ren found the Queen Mother of the West corrupted by black qi, purged it, and learned that the mist had sealed her Dao Fruit.
• After traveling for years, Lu Ren reached Hanging Mountain, where Qing Cheng explained that it was a safe resting place for Celestial Immortals.
• The Jade Emperor and Tathagata asked Lu Ren to join forces on the Path to Ascension, but Lu Ren rejected them and chose to wait on Hanging Mountain.
• Lu Ren’s chosen ancient house collapsed when he activated its control plaque, so Huang Gong invited him to gather building materials in the Cloud Sea.
• Huang Gong introduced Lu Ren to Zheng Jie, Cheng Guo, and Lie Huo, then led the team down through the Cloud Sea as its immense gravity pressed on them.

Lu Ren strengthened his Shamanic Path by mining the Sunken Sea Zone, fighting its beasts, and helping restore Ao Li through Nüwa. As Cheng Guo and others departed for the Path to Ascension, Lu Ren stayed behind to reach the Celestial Immortal Pinnacle.

• Lu Ren gathered Ironwood, fought the Ba Snake in the Sunken Sea Zone, killed it, and stored its body in his Inner World.
• Lu Ren mined Spirit Crystals for months, built a home on Hanging Mountain, and exchanged cultivation insights with Huang Gong and visiting Celestial Immortals.
• Lu Ren grew close to Cheng Guo through cultivation and companionship, while Huang Gong introduced him to his wine.
• Lu Ren confronted Tathagata over the spread of his cultivation method, then spent nearly ten years mining and hunting beasts in the Sunken Sea Zone.

Lu Ren joined an expedition into the Deep Sea Zone, where he killed a powerful beast and defeated the Celestial Immortals who challenged him. After reaching the Late Celestial Immortal realm and revealing the Pangu Axe, he returned to Hanging Mountain amid rising disorder and learned that its old leaders were leaving for the Path to Ascension.

• Lu Ren completed the 365 Acupoints of the Zhou Tian Body Spirit Fist, then accepted Huang Gong’s invitation to explore the Deep Sea Zone with Zheng Jie’s group.
• Lu Ren fought and killed a peak Celestial Immortal Lizard Demon, then faced Lin Yan’s forces and their reinforcements over its remains.
• Lu Ren defeated Chen Tuan in a duel, killing him despite his surrender, and then accepted Qing Cheng’s request to exchange a move.
• Lu Ren advanced his Shamanic Path, broke through to the Late Celestial Immortal realm, and clashed with Qing Cheng’s sword intent before summoning the Heaven Splitting Axe.

He fought Chen Huan’s group, explored the city’s strange powers, and ended the stretch preparing for night as contamination began to fade and assimilation remained a threat.

• Lu Ren hatched from the dragon egg, awakened Progenitor Dragon Blood in Ao Li, and learned that she had become linked to his Inner World Universe.
• Lu Ren killed the crimson-skinned ambusher, then fought Chen Huan and his allies after Chen Huan trapped them in Netherworld City.
• As black mist spread, Lu Ren entered a house, killed its Phantom resident, and learned that the city was a City of Phantoms.
• Ao Li recalled that the City of Phantoms was a forbidden netherworldly place, while Lu Ren considered using it as the yin-side of his Inner World’s reincarnation cycle.
• At daylight, Lu Ren discovered that the city’s Spiritual Pressure suppressed his strength, then killed Chen DaoXiao and fought Chen Huan’s group over their treatment of the city’s residents.
• Lu Ren defeated Chen Huan’s allies, demanded most of their resources, and killed Chen Huan after he refused a Heart Oath.
• Lu Ren discovered that eating in the city restored his energy and strengthened his physique, then hid from dangerous constables and rented a room at Tongfu Inn.
• Lu Ren found that his True Energy returned in his room and the city’s contamination was fading, but after sunset the city’s sounds abruptly stopped as night spread.
