At this moment.
Fuxi considered Kong Xuan's words for a moment.
Then he said, "Good. With Fellow Daoist Kong Xuan accompanying us, we could ask for nothing more."
"We can support one another and explore this Primordial World together."
The three then began discussing their destination.
"Mount Buzhou was formed from Pangu's spine and holds countless opportunities. However, we are deep at its foothills, and the pressure higher up is too great. Opportunities there are not easily obtained either; exploring it would take considerable time and effort, so it may not be the best choice."
Fuxi pondered aloud, forming seals with his fingers as faint golden trigrams appeared around him and began calculating the secrets of Heaven.
A moment later, a gleam flashed through his eyes. "East. My calculations indicate that the Eastern Sea Region currently has flourishing fortune and opportunities. Perhaps some great treasure will emerge, or perhaps it is a place where the Great Dao manifests."
However, calculations were one thing.
Upon hearing this, a trace of concern appeared on Nuwa's face. Looking at Kong Xuan, she said, "Fellow Daoist Kong Xuan belongs to the Avian Clan, while the Eastern Sea was once the core territory of the Scaled Dragon Clan."
"Though the War of the Three Clans has passed, remnants of the Dragon Clan remain. If you set foot there, would that not... be somewhat inappropriate?"
She feared that Kong Xuan's identity might provoke hostility from the Dragon Clan's remnants and bring needless trouble.
After all, although the Dragon Clan had declined, it was still not to be underestimated.
Kong Xuan remained calm, his tone carrying the serenity of one who saw the greater situation clearly. "No matter. The three clans have long since fallen into decline, and the Dragon Clan in particular suffered grievous losses. It no longer possesses its former might. They can barely protect themselves now; how could they have the strength to provoke trouble?"
"The Eastern Sea is vast, and opportunities lie everywhere. We may go without concern."
Seeing Kong Xuan so certain and finding his analysis reasonable, Nuwa's concerns immediately vanished. She nodded in agreement. "Since Fellow Daoist has made this judgment, then let us make a trip to the Eastern Sea."
With their destination decided, the three no longer hesitated. They immediately left their cultivation ground deep within Mount Buzhou, transforming into three streams of light as they tore through the air toward the Eastern Sea Region.
As the long years passed, a thousand years slipped by.
One day, as the three flew over a mountain range rich in spiritual energy,
Kong Xuan's heart stirred faintly. He sensed an almost imperceptible fluctuation in Nuwa's aura beside him.
He slowed his flight and looked toward Nuwa. "Fellow Daoist Nuwa, did you sense something?"
Nuwa's delicate brows furrowed as her gaze turned toward an ordinary-looking mountain peak in the distance, one without any unusual phenomenon.
With uncertainty in her voice, she said, "I feel something pointing in that direction... vague and elusive, as though it exists and does not exist. The sensation is extremely weak."
"Perhaps it is merely an illusion. We should follow the original plan and head for the Eastern Sea first."
The moment Kong Xuan heard this, he rejected it. "Fellow Daoist, that is not right!"
"Opportunities of the Great Dao are mysterious beyond measure. Since you sensed something, no matter how vague, it cannot have arisen from nothing."
"Better to search in vain than to miss it. We should investigate."
Fuxi also stopped his calculations. Trigrams flowed within his eyes as he nodded in agreement with Kong Xuan. "Fellow Daoist Kong Xuan speaks reasonably."
"Little sister, when it comes to opportunities, how can there be such a thing as vague?"
"It is highly likely to be a place of opportunity that has yet to manifest, or one that is concealed."
"Opportunities are rare. Since we have already arrived, how can we pass by without entering?"
Seeing her elder brother and Kong Xuan so insistent,
Nuwa could only agree helplessly. "Very well. We shall follow my brother's and Fellow Daoist Kong Xuan's wishes."
"However, this sensation is truly too faint. I worry we will make the trip for nothing and delay our journey to the Eastern Sea."
She could not shake the feeling that this sensation was too ethereal, nowhere near as clear and intense as the opportunity and fortune Fuxi had calculated for the Eastern Sea.
"No matter. Opportunities are difficult to predict by nature."
"A brief investigation will not take many days."
Kong Xuan said with certainty.
Soon, the three descended before the mountain peak Nuwa had indicated.
Though this mountain did not tower into the clouds, it was still blessed with spiritual beauty.
Ancient trees soared within its bounds, spiritual springs murmured, and rare flowers and exotic grasses decorated the landscape amid hazy spiritual energy.
Though it could not compare to Mount Buzhou's vast grandeur, it possessed a restrained prosperity and vitality. Even within the Primordial World, it could be considered a rare and beautiful blessed land.
Kong Xuan swept his gaze across the mountain's terrain, sensing the unique spiritual resonance of its earth veins. A name instantly sprang into his mind—Mount Shouyang!
Fuxi looked around, sensing the dense vitality and steady earth-vein aura.
With a slightly teasing look at Nuwa, he said, "Little sister, is this the place of opportunity you sensed? Its spiritual energy is indeed rather impressive."
Nuwa closed her eyes and focused for a moment. When she opened them, she shook her head, confusion in her eyes. "Strange. Now that we have arrived, that vague sensation from before has completely disappeared, leaving not the slightest trace."
"It seems... it truly was not here."
Although Nuwa said so,
Kong Xuan, as a Transmigrator, naturally knew of the opportunity contained within Mount Shouyang and would not leave so easily.
After all, he had heard in his previous life that the Human Clan's supreme treasure, the Kongtong Seal, was nurtured within Mount Shouyang.
Seeing Nuwa and Fuxi preparing to leave, he spoke boldly. "Since we are here, why not investigate further?"
"This mountain contains abundant spiritual energy, its earth veins are stable, and its prosperity ranks among the best in the Primordial World."
"It may well contain concealed opportunities or spiritual treasures. We can search for a while. If we find nothing, it will not be too late to proceed to the Eastern Sea."
Fuxi found this somewhat reasonable upon hearing it.
After all, this mountain did indeed appear extraordinary.
Perhaps there truly was some opportunity hidden in the shadows.
He then nodded and said, "Fellow Daoist Kong Xuan is quite right."
"In that case, let us enter the mountain and search."
In a sense, Fuxi's words represented Nuwa's wishes as well.
Except in the future, after Nuwa attained the Dao and became a Sage, protecting Fuxi in her capacity as a Sage of the Heavenly Dao, Fuxi had always been the one to make the decisions.
The three then entered Mount Shouyang.
Within Mount Shouyang, ancient trees stood dense and tall, while spiritual mist drifted through the air.
Kong Xuan, Nuwa, and Fuxi spread out their divine senses like nets, carefully examining every inch of rock, soil, grass, and tree, overlooking not even the slightest abnormal fluctuation.
Nuwa's delicate brows remained tightly drawn. That faint sensation from earlier had long since vanished without a trace, leaving her rather helpless.
Trigrams flowed around Fuxi's fingertips as he calculated the secrets of Heaven, yet he too shook his head. "Though the aura here is abundant, the trigrams reveal no clear direction for an opportunity. Just as little sister said, there seems to be nothing unusual."
Kong Xuan's gaze was sharp as he scanned a seemingly ordinary mountain hollow ahead.
Suddenly, he detected an almost imperceptible ripple of law. It was wholly out of place amid the stable earth-vein spiritual energy around it, yet had ingeniously blended into it.
"Wait!"
Kong Xuan abruptly stopped and pointed toward a stone wall deep within the hollow, half-concealed by vines. "Fellow Daoists, look there. Do you notice anything unusual?"
Nuwa and Fuxi focused their gazes in that direction.
At first glance, the stone wall seemed completely fused with the surrounding rock, covered in moss and vines.
Yet upon closer inspection, its patterns faintly contained profound Dao marks. As they circulated, they absorbed the spiritual energy of the mountain's vegetation while blocking deeper investigation, like an invisible barrier.
"A Xiantian Formation!"
A gleam flashed through Fuxi's eyes as he said, "What an exquisite concealment formation. Had Fellow Daoist Kong Xuan not exposed it, it would have seemed almost entirely natural. No wonder my calculations yielded nothing and little sister's perception was so vague."
"This formation draws upon the mountain's terrain and earth-vein power, then merges the vitality of vegetation into a barrier. It deeply understands the true meaning of concealment."
