Background / History

Nuwa and her elder brother Fuxi remained secluded for countless years within an Innate Yin-Yang Daoist Sanctuary deep in Mount Buzhou. They had withdrawn from the world to avoid the Dragon-Han Cataclysm and were largely unaware of the Primordial World's condition after the War of the Three Clans. 6

Kong Xuan accidentally attacked their sanctuary while seeking an ownerless spiritual treasure. Although Nuwa was initially angered, his apology and willingness to compensate for any damage softened her response. She and Fuxi invited him inside to learn whether the great war had ended. 6

After learning that the calamity had subsided, Nuwa joined Kong Xuan and Fuxi in a discussion of the Dao. She expounded her Way of Creation, whose principles concern creating life and enlightening all things. The exchange benefited all three cultivators and led them to travel the Primordial World together. 7

While journeying east, Nuwa sensed a faint and elusive opportunity at Mount Shouyang. The group uncovered and divided the Copper of Mount Shou, but Nuwa recognized that the material did not fully answer her intuition or align with her Dao of Creation. Their subsequent search allowed her to obtain the Lotus Lantern, her destined spiritual treasure. 8 9 10

Nuwa and Fuxi later returned to Mount Buzhou for seclusion and cultivation, while Kong Xuan remained in the Eastern Sea. They reunited with him at the boundary of chaos before Hongjun's preaching and waited for his safe arrival outside Zixiao Palace. 11 19 20

At Zixiao Palace, Nuwa secured the sixth of the six front meditation cushions. When Zhun Ti insulted Kong Xuan and attempted to intervene in his fight with him, Nuwa and Fuxi jointly stopped Jie Yin from assisting Zhun Ti. 22 23 24

Despite the attack on her sanctuary, she was willing to set aside the misunderstanding once Kong Xuan showed genuine remorse. She is also considerate toward allies, repeatedly expressing concern for Kong Xuan's safety while crossing chaos and waiting for him at Zixiao Palace. 6 19 20

Her loyalty to those she recognizes as friends is decisive. When Zhun Ti demeaned Kong Xuan, Nuwa immediately treated the insult as a provocation against all three companions and helped Fuxi prevent Jie Yin from interfering. 23 24
