Lupin shook his head blankly. "I don't remember? It was just sudden... I changed back."

While everyone else was still shocked that Lupin had truly succeeded, Kane suddenly had an immature idea...

If the moon in the Eternal Realm needed to find a vessel for its power in the real world, then the real moon could only be considered superficially reliable.

Its true vessel had to be the Mooncaller Wand... so was there a possibility...

Kane took out the Monster-Repelling Glasses from his hat and looked up at the moon in the sky. At that moment, the moon was merely the moon. There was no hazy veil around it, nor could he see any enormous eyeball.

Then he pulled the Mooncaller Wand, wrapped layer upon layer in shadows, from his own shadow. After peeling away the darkness, he found exactly what he expected: the eyeball was inside the wand's gemstone, lively and curiously studying him.

"Aha, never thought I'd get this close to you in this lifetime, huh?" Kane raised an eyebrow, greeted the moon, and put the Mooncaller Wand away again.

Just now, he had not only confirmed the transfer of the moon's power vessel; he had also checked whether Lupin had truly solved his strange little problem.

For instance, could Lupin have escaped the Werewolf Curse only because Kane had put away the Mooncaller Wand?
