Knock, knock, knock...
Under everyone's watchful eyes, Harry plucked up his courage and knocked on Snape's office door.
Soon, the door opened on its own. Snape sat inside, hunched over his desk as he marked a young wizard's Potions homework.
Hearing the visitors, he looked up, and a peculiar look of distaste spread across his face.
"What is it?" Snape asked flatly.
Harry swallowed. "Headmaster Dumbledore said my mother's belongings were..."
Before Harry could finish, a very strange gust of wind swept him smoothly yet brutally out of the office.
He wasn't the only one. The spectators who had tagged along received the same treatment.
They looked at one another before finally turning their eyes to Kane.
After all, Kane had the most pull with Dumbledore. Surely he could manage it.
Kane spread his hands. "Sure, I've got some pull with Dumbledore, but who told you Dumbledore had any pull with the professors?"
Silence fell again. So the best solution really was to kill Snape after all?
Looking at Harry's pitiful expression, Kane slowly sighed.
